That I might lose you?
No, that I do not fear, for if someday we part ways I know I will never lose you. Memories of what we have lived together are forever entrentched in my soul. I know I will never lose you; it is a certainty in me. What I truly fear is that I might fade in you. I fear that you will forget my name and the color of my soul. That the memories of what we were will dwindle away to nothingness, denied by pain, or overwhelmed by new loves that sprouted after we parted ways. I fear that all the tender gifts my soul bequeathed you might have their colors fade, that time will dull the heights of pasion we reached, and diminish the memory of the feelings we felt, and that it will dress in mundanity, something that was so heavenly.

[When you wake up, there is a letter waiting for you on the desk to the side of your bed. It is in a black envelope that can only be described as "sleek." It is sealed with a white stamp with a rose design.]
Dear beloved,
I know what you're thinking--"This is ridiculous, why am I receiving a letter from my fiancé who I live with?" All I have to respond to that is with my deepest apologies.
When it comes to speech, I am well versed, so voicing my opinion comes naturally to me. Emotions, however, are different. You are my first experience seriously concerning the complex human emotion of love, so I feel it is important that I sort my thoughts out properly instead of ramble to you like a fool. Yet here I am.
Still, allow me to try and say I am thankful to have met you in my life. We've been through much together, and you have been a reliable support as well as a source of happiness to me. I'm beyond lucky to have you reciprocate my feelings and am honored that we are at the stage we are in now.
