Gratitude Ch. 4: Four
Summary: Four and Sky look for mysterious shells. And Sky gets a little treat. 1.4k, fluff.
Excerpt below the cut :D
"This is the best thing I've ever eaten," Sky mumbled, mouth still full of croissant.
Four laughed happily as he led them down the path. "Even better than pumpkin soup?"
"Oh, absolutely not." Sky shook his head and swallowed so he could talk more easily. "I'm still going to win the pumpkin soup superiority contest. Any chance you've made up your mind?"
"Hmm. Not yet. There's still plenty of room for bribery," Four said.
"What?" Sky gasped. "No bribery! That defeats the purpose!"
Four shrugged. "What can I say? I'm a simple guy."
"Okay, first of all: not true. Second: I want to win because my pumpkin soup is the best, not because of bribery."
"Twilight said the same thing, unfortunately for me," Four said.
"... But just in case I was interested in bribery, what would it take?" Sky asked. Four smirked at him and Sky was struck with fear for his wallet.
"I have the perfect idea. This way." Four turned down a different path. He kept a leisurely pace so Sky could finish his treat without getting winded, which Sky appreciated greatly.
