Sig MCX
Adobe Illustrator, Cinema 4d, Substance painter
GTAV FiveM again, I modelled this from scratch. I then redrew the logos in illustrator and created a texture in cinema 4d, was actually an enjoyable project. I’m no huge fan of modern weaponry, but the cross between beauty and functionality on this weapon system spoke to me.

Hoodies
Adobe Illustrator, substance Painter
This was for a FiveM community. The model was already made, I exported it, and then looked at various designs. For each company, I took their logo and either live traced or redrew it in illustrator. I then export it as black and white and used it as an alpha in substance painter. There it was a case of just seeing what colours looked good.

Axon X26 Taser
Adobe Illustrator, Cinema 4d, Substance Painter
So This had to stay as low poly as possible. I recreated the TASER X26 logo, and such as vector based artwork in Adobe illustrator and modelled the X26 itself in Cinema 4d, keeping the poly count quite low. I then moved everything into Substance painter and gave it a slightly distressed texture before adding the logo areas into the normal map.
Again, for a GTAV FiveM.

Ambulance Station Signage
Adobe Illustrator, Substance painter
I was giving a bit of a show/tell on how easy it is to use substance painter to a few members of a GTAV FiveM community, and this was what we made. The sign texture itself was made in adobe illustrator - I had previously redrawn the London Ambulance Station logo from scratch to vectorise it, as well as the NHS one, it was just a point of positioning it and cracking on. Procedural damage was added to the sign itself.

Vauxhall Astra - Met Police Incident Response Vehicle
Adobe Illustrator, Substance Painter
I hasten to add that a friend actually modelled this, I just did the texture in substance painter. This was for no real reason other than ‘sketching’.

Utility Belt Equipment
Cinema 4d, Substance painter
Again, for a GTAV FiveM Server, this is equipment for a Police Officers belt, Torch pouch on the left, Handcuff Key in the Centre and a PPK (Personal Protection Kit) on the right. Small, low poly items.

L7A1 GPMG (General Purpose Machine Gun)
Illustrator, Cinema 4d, Substance Painter
Again, for 1985, this piece of kit might be a bastard to carry, but its a beautiful bit of kit and has served my country well for the last 70 odd years. Known colloquially in the British army as the ‘Jimpy’, Its Beaten Zone (the area where it can lay down effective fire) is second to none and it was a pleasure creating this.

L1A1 SLR
Adobe Illustrator, Cinema 4d, Substance Painter
This is a Version of the British Army L1A1 SLR (Self-Loading Rifle) As used from the 1950s - 1980s. I have a true affection for the SLR, its just a stunningly simple piece of kit. Its range was unsurpassed and its reliability second to none and has been known as ‘The Saviour of the Free World’. It was used by Most European Armies at some point and easily rivalled anything the Soviets or Yanks fielded.
This particular Version is for the VR 1985.
The model is created in cinema 4d, the texture elements in Illustrator but the majority of the texturing was done in Substance painter.

L1a1 Self Loading Rifle
This is an update of the L1a1 SLR I has already produced when my skills were not quite as good as they are now. This is all vector made art and could theoretically be reproduced to any size. The concept is for 1985.
Adobe Illustrator.

TUFM Berets
Learning, and creating Berets and cap badges. These are for my Politics and war Nation, Divisional Berets. They have backing material and metal badges. This was a training exercise in Substance painter, not too bad a result.

Humber Pig Ambulance Concept
A Humber Pig Ambulance, in the Berlin Brigade Camouflage (Which I am shamelessly borrowing for 1985). I still enjoy 2d drawing using Illustrator more than 3d design but there isnt as much call for it!.
