I know "60s housewives who invented slash fanfiction" has taken on a life of its own as a phrase, but Kirk/Spock didn't really exist until the 70s and THOSE WOMEN HAD JOBS. They were teachers and librarians and bookkeepers and scientists and they damn well spent their own money going to conventions, printing zines, buying fanart and making fandom happen. Put some respect on their names.

Repeat after me:
It is OKAY to have content preferences and to be uncomfortable with certain ships or topics, controversial or not. It is OKAY to distance yourself from such content and block certain tags or creators.
It is NOT OKAY to actively hate and harass real people for creating content of fictional characters that features things that make you uncomfortable.

There may not be a good answer to this, but do you have any tips for keeping your emotions in check when you are overstimulated and unable to leave the situation? I'm specifically talking about work. Sometimes things get busy and I get overstimulated, and when I do, I tend to get angry and lash out at my coworkers. I want to stop doing that, but all of the tips I've seen are about leaving the situation to remove stimulus. Obviously that WOULD help, but in these specific instances, I can't leave. I've looked into anger management tips, but they all rely on being able to "let go" of the root of the anger. I can't exactly "let go" of being overstimulated lol.
Sorry for the paragraph :( do you maybe have any advice? I know overstimulation can't be "fixed" while there's still stimulus, but maybe you have your own way of keep a level head even while it's happening?
I definitely understand this as I work in a very busy doctors office and I can't just leave in the middle of a clinic.
What I do may not help you, but I'm hoping it gives you ideas.
Basically, I run my work week by strict routine, and this includes my home life. All my spoons (or energy, whichever you prefer) go towards work Monday to Friday.
Whilst at work, I use those spoons in very ordered ways. If Tuesday between 9am and 11am are quieter, I use less spoons and do less (while still working) to get ready for the busy times.
I also take notes constantly, jotting down quick reminders of what I'm doing, tasks I need to remember, what was just said to me etc. My own thoughts can lead to overstimulation, so writing them down means I don't have to fear forgetting and being overwhelmed with trying to remember 20 things at once.
By working my brain to a strict energy routine, this lets me go about my day and means I have extra for unexpected occurrences.
And home time is precious and used 100% for recovery.
This isn't perfect, obviously. I run out of energy at least once a week and I'm stuck working on empty and overstimulated. But what I tend to do is drop unnecessary functions when I'm able (drop facial expressions when free, let my eyes unfocus when I can, stim if alone for a minute etc) and push through.
Other things that may help you are wearing noise reducing ear inserts if possible such as Loops or Flare Calmer's. Maybe fidget jewellery as well if you can't bring stim toys. I also recommend visual stim items for your desk if possible such as lava droppers or sensory tubes. Something you can flip over on your desk and watch for a minute.
But, mitigation is key for autism overload. It's difficult to reduce once it's happened, so reducing input at all is what helps me.

Just logged in, my account still works.
I don't know if you could access it though because it's all in German (does that matter? No clue) and also I have no clue which mail this account is linked to--
I want to get into blingee.com.
There are still people posting on it so it is definitely possible if you have two things:
An old account that still works
A browser & flash emulator situation which allows it to run
Getting an account is the harder step. people don't seem to be having any luck with it on the blingee subreddit. If anyone out there has an account or knows someone who does please let me know! I don't want it indefinitely or exclusively just for a little video research.

I am discovering that my brain does NOT function if im in a public location. I went to the guitar shop, and immediately forgot every song i can play on bass, and also the ones on guitar. I met a guitarist in there with similar music taste to me, and didn't even THINK to ask his band's name...kinda kicking myself over that one. I could learn from them!
This happens in other places too. I forget any mental notes i make, cant think very well, and my ability to talk to people goes out the window

Watcher google drive
i think the title is pretty self explanitory
Only ghost files on it atm but Mystery Files and Puppet History are next. Watcher has back pedalled on deleteing all their free content to lock it behind a pay wall but y'know what? maybe I just dont want to give them ad revenue anymore, which is evil but screw them. Also they may still back pedal on their back pedalling, which is to many pedals anyways.
