Devi was used to meeting new people, plenty of conventions and meet and greets over the years had primed her for strangers but this was a bit different..and considering everything, she felt a little out of place. Eyeimg one of the other contestants by the pool she sidled over to them with what she hoped was an approachable smile. “So are you more of a May or a Lilliana…or an Ishy?” Devi asked, wondering if they’d even watched the first season the way she had.
the only footsteps helle had plans on following were zac efron’s, (what? high school (musical) love never dies), but whatever, she’ll play. proving her knowledge, her capability, has always been her plight in life. “well, hold on - this is nicole erasure, and i won’t stand for it.” she laughs, prom queen smile firmly in place. “though i couldn’t speak to our likeness. i respect the ‘chaos is a girl’s best friend’ game, but i’m more inclined toward diamonds myself.” she’s joking, but perhaps to the wrong audience. “and you? clearly something about those three stood out to you.”

“ Do you think your family will find out you’re here? ” Cam asked, operating under the assumption that everyone else was also lying to their parents — or, okay, maybe lying wasn’t the correct term, but withholding details. She knew she was old enough to make her own decisions, but that didn’t stop their stomach from rolling when they thought about displeasing anyone. “ My daddies would probably be pissed if they knew I watched reality television, so they’re… not gonna love this. ”
"oh, they’ll definitely be finding out, but that’s the beauty of being trapped in a house with no outside connection - we may as well be on a different planet, right? just channel your inner alien superstar and have fun.” disappointing parents is reality television 101. the real problem would be disappointing the rest of the world, but she’s not about to make an atlas out of someone who’s clearly got enough weight on their shoulders. “you’re cam, right? i’m a dancer too, but pointe destroys me every time.”

@helleonearth
while he may have extended some form of charm at time , there was no mistaking aless for a kindly gentleman or anything close . the news of roommate assignments had been interesting and sure enough , he was certain whomever his bedmate was would be just fine for him , his tastes extending far and wide . in their room he’s unpacking his suitcase , his presence known far before she enters , a certainty that he would be there first fond to him . he cranes his neck to spot her , “ oh , hello there roommate . i hope you’re not expecting me to forfeit my side of the bed , “ he gestures , a menacing grin , idiocy indoctrinated into him at times by his upbringing , a lack of boundary or respect . “ it’s 2023 , i promise i don’t snore … i’m even willing to do you a favour and let you be the little spoon tonight . “
boarding school long ago taught her how to handle, and lose, any adequate sense of privacy, but it looks like she’s in for another lesson; this time, on how to deal with sharing a double bed with double the ego. “aw, you.” click, click go her heels before she finds her spot in the center, her (louis vuitton) luggage parked by the door. “sounds like a perfect fit! i probably wouldn’t have been able to reach around your big head anyway.” punctuated by a wink, then her attention is off him, in part to intentionally deny him of it, but more in curiosity of the space around her. “so this is home sweet home, huh? how... hotel-chic. though my expectations were more hostel vibes, so i guess i’m lucky?” her gaze lands on him at her last word, daring him to make an assumption on the potential implication. channeling the spirit of parvati shallow has never been so easy.
