Age is just a number. A popular saying, but one that never held any meaning for Helios. Until recently. Until Nova. Now that saying is starting to make sense. But he can’t help but wonder if it’s really true. Is age really all the inconsequential? Would it not make a difference? Only time will tell.

Waylon fought the beginnings of a grin as the man’s face paled, carefully schooling his features into an expression of muted curiosity as he listen to Helios continue. “Mm, most interesting, wouldn’t you think?” He turned his head toward the man at the other side of the table. “I don’t know anything.” He clung to his argument, and Waylon rolled his eyes. “Do you believe him Vasquez? Because I don’t.”
“Oh, I don’t know. It makes perfect sense for someone to risk prison to badly obliviate a fellow wizard.” Helios’s words dripped with sarcasm.

“Uh….because I don’t remember what happened.” The man said, as if it were obvious. Waylon pushed off from the wall, clearing his throat. “Funny thing is,” He started, speaking only to Helios and ignoring the other man as he sat next to him. “He knew he had forgotten before I even started asking him my questions.”
Helios nodded once in Waylon’s direction to show he understood. “Whoever obliviated you obviously botched the job. When a person is obliviated, they don’t know they have been because the wizard either implants fake memories or the brain does it automatically. Besides, who would want to obliviate you? You’re a wizard. We’re only allowed to obliviate No-Majs.”

She was in his debt for letting her come along, although she would never tell Helios that. “Easy enough.” She replied simply, pointing her wand towards her shoes and transfiguring them into something more sensible, and much more flat. “Where does he live?
