DVa Nano Cola | Overwatch

Blizzard is holding a brand new limited-time event in Overwatch that is about D.Va. The D.Va Nano Cola Challenge, timed with the launch of Blizzard's new animated short,"Shooting Star," along with the new Busan control map, is a two-week event that will let players make new sprays, a new player icon along with a new epic skin for D.Va.

Starting today and running through Sept. 10, D.Va's Nano Cola Challenge tasks players with winning matches in Quick Play, Arcade or Competitive modes. Win three games across any of the three manners and you'll earn two fresh D.Va sprays. Win a total of six and you will make a new D.Va participant icon. Players that win nine games throughout the event will unlock the previously teased Nano Cola D.Va epic skin.

Eight additional D.Va sprays are connected with watching Twitch streams. Unlocking all eight will probably require watching a grand total of eight hours of Twitch flows (and connecting your Twitch account to your Battle.net account), a schedule for which you may find below.

Loot Boxes | Overwatch in Belgian

Overwatch's loot box program has ever been a contentious matter. On the flip side, the game provides cosmetic rewards primarily through loot boxes, also it's possible for players to obtain a pretty healthy quantity of loot boxes every week by simply playing the game. That seems like the best case scenario for that type of scenario -- no in-game benefits, you don't have to spend money. However, critics have argued that Overwatch's loot boxeshave helped fuel a ecosystem that replicates gambling in order to induce profits.

Belgian players will be visiting the first ripple of the debate in their match. On the official Overwatch forums, a community manager shared the next message.

The loot box controversy poured in 2017, particularly with the Star Wars name Battlefront 2. Overwatch, by comparison to some of the business's worst criminals, has always looked relatively benign. The question in the core of the matter is if the core mechanic of obtaining puzzle goods with a up-front cash purchase is inherently gaming. Belgium has concluded that yes, it is, but other authorities are still analyzing the matter. Hawaii and Washington State have already been discussing a bill that would require the state gaming commission to assess loot boxes and determine whether they are betting. Dutch and South Korean lawmakers have also taken actions against programmers who unethically present loot boxes.

Overwatch has experimented with different ways for players to buy content. One Overwatch League team skin is about $5; All-Star skins can be purchased for $10 worth of Overwatch League tokens apiece.

OW League expends to 20 teams

The team revealed which bands are supporting the six new groups in a press release today:

Bilibili -- A top online entertainment company for young people in China, covering a wide array of genres and media formats including: movies, live broadcasting, and mobile games will operate the team in Hangzhou, China

DM Esports -- A global company focused on esports entertainment and investments will operate the team from Paris, France

HUYA Inc.. -- A leading game livestreaming system in China will operate the team from Chengdu, China

OverActive Media -- An integrated company providing esports and video game entertainment to the Canadian marketplace will operate the group in Toronto, Canada

Washington Esports Ventures -- A sports organization based on Mark Ein, owner of the Washington Kastles of World Team Tennis, to Develop and promote esports enterprises will operate the team from Washington, D.C.

The Overwatch League will comprise nine teams at the U.S. and 11 international teams following year. Team names, logos and rosters weren't declared. League teams are now shaking up their rosters, and OWL free agents can be signed to existing and expansion groups between Sept. 7 and Oct. 9.

Overwatch League's 2019 season program will be announced later, based on Activision Blizzard.

Overwatch League changes 2019

The Overwatch League's first time came to an end, and while the World Cup is coming up to fill in the aggressive Overwatch gap, the League action will last with roster moves throughout the season.

Though teams like the Fusion, Spitfire, Valiant and NYXL might be in pretty good shape, there's still plenty of reason to produce a couple of roll alterations. In terms of everyone else, there's no question that major roster changes are likely on the horizon because every team aims to improve their standings heading into Season 2.

Following that window, every team in the league may signal any player. Contenders gamers that are not currently affiliated with an Overwatch League group will have exactly the exact same signing window as free agents.
