Friendly reminder that today is the last day to get tags submitted for the Holiday Exchange 2023 tag set! If a pairing or character you'd like to request is not on the tag set list, it will not be included in the drop down options to choose from on the sign up sheet, so please be sure you've nominated all the characters and pairings you want the option to request/offer that aren't currently showing in the tag set. - Mod Tec

Holiday Exchange Update 11/07/2023

I have approved another round of tags for the tag set for this year's Holiday Exchange! If you're looking to participate in the Holiday Exchange, please make sure to take a peek at the existing tag set (you can find it here!) and make sure all the characters and/or pairings you want the option to offer/request are represented. If not, you have until November 11th to submit them to the tag set, otherwise they may not show up on the final sign up form. Also, just as a reminder: original characters aren't allowed as part of a request or offer for this particular event. While you're welcome to populate your story with OCs, the focus for this exchange is canon characters and the relationships between them, whether platonic or romantic. (I know we have a lot of extremely talented OC writers in this fandom, and I love and support you all. It's just super tough to match for OC pairings, plus it often requires other participants to learn about someone's existing OCs or else create a fully rendered OC on the fly, which can be a big ask for a project with a relatively tight deadline.) It's that time of year again, y'all! We're gearing up for the Heavy Artillery Holiday Exchange 2023. If you've never participated before, I encourage you to check out the info post, which you can find linked at the top of our Tumblr page or read over on Dreamwidth.

Here's the projected schedule:

November 5, 2023: Tag set nominations open. November 10, 2023: Tag set nominations close. November 11, 2023: Sign-ups open at 8AM Eastern Time (UTC-4). (Link will be provided in a separate post on November 11th.) November 18, 2023: Sign-ups close at midnight Eastern Time (UTC-4). November 20, 2023: Assignments go out. (The extra day is to make sure we have time to adjust if anyone comes up as unmatchable.) December 1-3, 2023: Check in #1/writing weekend. December 15-17, 2023: Check in #2/writing weekend; default deadline. December 22, 2023: Fic due by 8PM Eastern Time (UTC-4). December 24, 2023: Collection goes live. December 27, 2023: Author reveals.
