I love this little moment so much, when Ed and Stede are watching the crew dance and have fun, and Stede just says "c'mon," inviting Ed to join him and dance. They both look so smiley and happy! And Ed just...does it. Immediately. He doesn't even hesitate. Not once does he think "hm maybe someone will judge me for wanting to dance with my boyfriend?" Nope. He feels safe to just be himself and have a nice time.
Of course, we were robbed of their dance, and their safe little bubble was shattered. Ned Low when I fucking CATCH you istg. But we still have this lovely little moment that communicates such growth - Ed knows he doesn't have to constantly run himself through a filter of what kind of behavior others will deem acceptable anymore.
