(for the purposes of this poll, there is no monkey's paw situation: the chore you pick stays the same level of difficulty/grossness/etc. as it normally is for you, and you only have to do it as often as you want to. the chores you don't pick are magically done for you exactly the way you'd want them to be, just with zero effort on your part.)
the way arthur doesn't push as much as he just shoulder bumps merlin, the way merlin starts running before arthur even makes a move, the way arthur only runs about three steps before stopping. intricate rituals etc etc.
i do not at all mean this in a perjorative manner, but i do think it’s important to be able to consume a piece of media and go, “i’m not the audience for this” and be able to just walk away
there doesn’t have to be something wrong or “problematic” about something for a person to not like it. personal taste is personal taste. but something not doing it for you doesn’t mean it automatically has to be wrong or bad. it’s just not for you.
things i hope to experience still — earth shattering romance. stronger convictions. letting go of dreams that can only happen when i’m asleep. countless cups of morning coffee in paris. an afternoon wandering the streets of rome. forgiving myself for being 17. more serendipity. more sincerity. more scandal. random conversations with bygone strangers i will still think of every now & then. weird coincidences that feel more like fate than chance. art gallery openings. days spent inside while the world around me gets blanketed in soft white snow. stumbling over awe. looking someone in the eyes and knowing they’re my home. being surprised by how kind other humans can be.
also the thing about worth it, and travel season (im assuming because it’s made by steven with andrew and adam), as well as other steven shows, is that these shows really showcase a lot of different cultures, and for a group of so-called “watcher fans” to be like “no one cares about steven’s shows!!!” is so incredibly damaging. like im sorry you and your friends only want to watch ryan and shane skirt around dick jokes, but steven is creating shows that impact a lot of people in genuine, heartfelt ways while bringing awareness to things in the format of sitting around a table and eating food. it’s not groundbreaking but it is important. i genuinely hate the argument that people only came for shane and ryan and that steven doesnt matter. because he does.
i will never ever ever forgive this fandom for what they did.
