“ Oh, come now, my foxy fellow! ” the hovering magician shakes his head lightly at the objection, as if disappointed by the other’s retaliation.
Dimentio’s tempted to spiel off into a speech about morality’s sheer irrelevance in the progress of all things, but he best not be extensive in conversation just yet. After all, he should make a worthy first impression! What better than a little bit of power-play upon first arrival? Every person has someone they dislike! Everyone has someone they’d rather be rid of permanently, with utter disregard of laws and moral compasses! Murder or homicide are names given to actions that society disapproves of. Such is the influence of the pack.
“ ‘tis not a series of actions that art out of question! ” he floats a little lower, almost so his shoes touch the floor, “ You exhibit some restraint, yet surely it would be better without a few more adversaries around? Everyone has enemies. I’m merely offering to help you surpass yours. It is not immoral to wish to be rid of any conflict, in the form of another person or otherwise! ”
This guy was the epitome of untrustworthy. Just the way he looked -- the way he SPOKE... Tails already regretted engaging conversation with him, regretted HUMORING him. He had no idea who this person was, but he had the horrible feeling he was about to find out. Just wasn’t his luck today.
The kit takes a couple of steps back, eyeing the jester uneasily as he clutches his clipboard close to his chest. His brow furrows as he watches on carefully, quietly incredulous at the other’s words.
❝ If you’re casually talking about killing people, then yeah, that is kind of immoral, ❞ he responded curtly, chin dug into the depths his collar as if for some sort of comfort. His blue orbs don’t leave the stranger, and his grip on the clipboard only tenses tighter. If only he had notes on how to deal with this... ❝ Besides... I don’t HAVE enemies. I’m eight years old. ❞
He knows that’s a lie. TECHNICALLY, he has enemies -- too many to count -- but these were never enemies that he willed. They were enemies of circumstance, a circumstance he wishes so deeply he wasn’t part of. But he isn’t about to tell him that.
