German officer in German East Africa. I actually like their uniform and that's why I wanted to draw it too

Moses Stern, my oc in WW1. He is a German Jew from Stuttgart, a lawyer by profession and a musician at heart. He went to the front from his unsettled life and followed his patriotic friend. The Somme became his baptism of fire. Moses has consistently worked his way up from a private to a Sub commander and has became an excellent commander for his soldiers. He was attracted by adventurism which he perfectly combined with his deep rationality.

Based on Dreyfus Affair I used some theatrical effect to show more emotion in this scene and put more accent on the fact that an innocent person is convicted

The Death and the Officer My oc, the german officer Ernst von Krieghammer. There were enough rumors about him. He saw Belgium burning in flames. His company was almost completely destroyed. He saw something strange since that time his glance has been empty. The new officer spoke enthusiastically about the death, about the new era of machines and destruction. When his foot set on the Somme, he was ready to hold the line. It seemed that the storms of steel only fueled him. The stakes were very high. He knew that his opponent was merciless, a battle that could not be won. It was death itself. And yet he started the game.

My oc, Richard Lamm, a musician from Stuttgart. He was the life and soul of the company and was able to infect everyone with his laughter. His heart was given to music but in June 1914 he put aside his violin and went to the front. "There are no more nationalities and parties, there are only Germans!". Richard was Jewish. The service wasn't easy for him but the support from a childhood friend who joined the same regiment played an important role

One of favorite writers. His book 'In Stahlgewittern' has still admired me. Story about strength of mind and love of life. Author fought in the WWI and his path between being as soldier to lieutenant and commander impressed
