Somewhat old rough concept for demons & angels in my personal furry world + development under cut

Theology in my anthro world is really weird lol. Its a creationist world (reason why theres 12094 species without having to struggle with evolutionary history and shit LMFAO), there are various gods and each god has beings that they perform duties through; Angels & demons. They are both servants of higher deities, sometimes of the same ones, however angels are deliberate & powerful constructs while demons are converted furries. Souls without bodies vs bodies without souls essentially.

Becoming a demon is either done through desperation or extreme devotion to a god because you are partially giving up your free will in exchange for unnatural powers. Demons will always gain horns no matter the species but the different traits they pick up are usually resultant of the entity they serve, i.e. the bunny who serves a draconic god gains dragon features. Spaded tails are another very common feature, with hooves or wings being less common. After becoming a demon you are still free to live as you like but the god you serve can call upon you for any reason. Most of the time demons do tasks the god considers more "menial"- spreading its belief, protecting or upkeeping shrines, pursuing those who made deals with the god, etc. They are vassals that act out a god's wish in the physical plane.

Angels are specific creations by gods, highly variable in form and having dominion over specific things, being mere puppets or extensions of gods essentially. Their denominations are ranked by specificness; i.e. an angel of earth may also be an angel of caves which may also be an angel of gemstones. Although incredibly powerful angels have several major drawbacks, one of which is that they are non-corporeal; they may appear visually to people but are not able to interact with the world beyond their powerset. They also have no free will. Their god doesn't physically control them but they do only act within its wants and needs.

Angels "falling" is relatively rare but does occur, often because the angel acts either against their god or does not perform their duties for a significant amount of time. They die as they're no longer physically supported by their god- because they are made of pure magic they can only sustain themselves off the power of a deity and are unable to survive without support. There's only one case of a living "fallen angel" to date.
