ok I saw that thing about “vampire bats french kiss with a mouth full of blood to strengthen social bonds” thing again and it’s actually much sweeter than this implies. Because of the way a vampire bat’s metabolism is set up, these bats have an extremely low tolerance for missed meals. One or two days without a meal and they will starve. So bats that had a meal will return to the roost and regurgitate some blood to feed the less successful roost mates. This can save their life and let them try again the next night. It’s incredibly sweet!

Also look at this darling face of a white winged vampire bat. That’s a true friend right there. There’s only three species of vampire bat and they all live in South America

Sharing this here too

I do not usually make posts like this but recently I have seen a lot of content on Instagram, Twitter and I think tiktok too misunderstanding the meaning of intrusive thoughts, which may cause people experiencing them to be upset.

I have tried to shortly explain the difference of impulsive and intrusive and hope it will help people to understand and use the words correctly.

Another AO3 app that's pretending to be official when it's not (or at least isn't making it clear its unofficial.) They're using AO3's name and logo, and embedding ads.

There is no official AO3 app

Someone else is gathering your data, potentially your log in information etc and making use of it how they please. (They say they're not but their privacy policy says otherwise)

They are making money from the ads without the fic writer's consent.

They've also rated it Pegi 3 (which is ludicrous)

Please, even if you care about nothing else, for the safety of your data, please don't use this app. Certainly don't give it your AO3 log in details.

I've told AO3 that it's infringing on its copyright. I will be requesting they remove access of my work as I do not consent to my creative content being used to generate ad revenue for them.

I will be reporting it as incorrectly rated.

The only email address I can find is [email protected] which is included in their privacy policy, and [email protected] as their developer.
