This was genuine. So genuine that I think it tool Hannibal aback as well. I don't think he has ever vocally phrased such a direct confession of his affection. No metaphor. No vague meaning. No fancy words.

His person suit is completely off, your average human being cares about that kind of stuff. A psychopath cannibal who has no remorse and a god complex does not. So for a split second he gives himself away.

The paradox of the phrase is the fact that the very same serial killer with no remorse says that Will's life matters more than any other life he could save. He is very annoyed by these lives Will is saving. He doesn't see how would those lives be worth Will's life.

Hannibal is highly, extremely selective with those around him. So when he makes such a blunt confession, he means it.

Analysis time.

In 2x11, there's that really emotional scene where Will and Hannibal are talking in Hannibal's office and Will is on the verge of crying. He says "I prayed I would see Abigail again."

Now who do we usually pray to? God. Who is God in this scene?

Hannibal replies "Your prayer didn't go entirely unanswered."

So basically Hannibal is portrayed as God and he will indeed answer to Will's prayers and bring back Abigail just for him. He has the ultimate and absolute power to make the tea cup come back together.

With that same power, Hannibal will take Abigail away from Will, as punishment for trying to deceive and betray his God. His God who loved him that much that he brought someone "back from the dead" for him. The God who Will had previously prayed to.

With all sex scenes in the show being surrealistic and dissociative, Hannigram's would have to be the opposite: raw, visceral, the camera not shying away, but following their gazes, no music just the sound of the ocean somewhere out of sight, the breeze on the flowing curtains, their breaths, and the sounds their bodies make when in friction, the sound of their fingers gripping hair, the sound of the sheets moving around their bodies, no wide shots just utterly close and intimate, bordering on uncomfortable for the viewer, as if we shouldn't be there, and no cuts, just from painfully languid beginning to unbearable ending,

02-14 - Will Graham is taking well to the hypnosis treatments that he has been going through. He submits to the treatment nicely within a five minute interval of interception from my pendulum. He has been showing more and more fatigue in the eyes when the sessions begin. They are taking a larger and larger toll on him. It will not be long until he has no idea what is happening to him. The sessions will continue for the next six weeks before we upgrade to the next level.

The level of stress this treatment is taking on Will is not a shock to me. His body and mind has been taking such a beating this past year that he does not even know who he is anymore. This is something I plan to use to my advantage when the time comes. The signal will be clear when he is ready for my darkness to enter into his mind. He needs to be ready. He needs to accept his weakness and long for my power.
