I've always been of the camp that Raziel and his brothers took husbands and wives (or at the very least lovers) during their reign. It doesn't make sense to me that they would avoid exploring romantic relationships for a thousand years, especially as it seems Kain gave them a high degree of privilege and autonomy over their kingdoms. If he saw one of his boys with someone he didn't approve of he would have stepped in, probably with lethal force.
Even though I dislike RK I concede that the possibilty is there, especially early on before Kain decided what kind of relationship she intended to have with his sons. Kain's relationships are always a mess. The idea that Kain was Raziel's only reference for romantic love has never sat right with me given the massive timescale we're working with and Raziel's position of power.
I want to yell about RazielKain with likeminded people but I feel like everyone I meet is only into it platonically and I’m just sitting here like
You have grown willful, Raziel.
But beware – to embrace a serpent is to invite poison into your heart.
Kain is a sinuous beast; he will seduce and deceive you.
You pride yourself on your free will, yet you let that degenerate deter your resolve.

Ps1!! Nevermind Crash, this needs a Resident Evil 2 remake. That game was beautiful!!
I know, a couple of the VA's are gone now, Rene Auberjonois and Tony Jay, but for a sequel to round the series off, they could find soundalikes. It wouldn't be the first time studios have done that. I know it wouldnt be the same, but we take what we can get. I'd be happy just to hear Simon Templeman and Michael Bell again!

This fanart is dedicated to a study, later to be digitally rendered, of one of the official illustrations of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver (© EIDOS, © Crystal Dynamic 1999).
I was barely a teenager, I was fascinated and frightened by the complexity of the subjects, with very dark colors.
I had the desire to reproduce it but the difficulty held me back, now after several years I dared to sketch a tribute and I thought it was right in my first artbook.
In the future, I will make a digital color version.
