100 days of art, 71/100 - I thought my last bit of garrus art was a little half-baked in retrospect, so I wanted to give that another go!

(not quite there yet I don't think, but closer! Also, drawing turians is starting to be fun)

While I'm super deep into art stuff anyway: I have no idea if this is something that's ever crossed someone's mind, but if you ever wonder how or why I did an Art Thing, just ask!

I cannot guarantee that the explanation will be strictly technically correct (on account of being a self-taught dork whose art education started off with THE worst "how to draw manga" book known to humanity), but I primarily communicate by means of infodumping anyway and enjoy explaining things a lot, so, yknow. Very easy way to make my day.

100 days of art, 70/100 - super duper quick five-minute doodle because I had a long, long (but fun) day and my bed is calling for me with its sweet siren song of warm and comfy.

100 days of art, 69/100 - my fem!shep, for good measure, in honor of me finally getting around to ME2:LE.

I went with something like this for my first-ever shep and then stuck with it for all subsequent playthroughs, so I've been staring at this dork for... fuck, probably something like 500 hours now. Terrifying.

I don't think I've ever drawn her, though.

(She's a steadfast, goody-two-shoes paragon. Would Not Punch A Journalist paragon. Her name's Astra, because terrible puns are like catnip to me)

100 days of art, 68/100 - more Turians because yes.

His name's Virgil, he's an ancient OC that I drew Once and then never did anything with because I did not have the art skills to get him to look right more than once.

Ngl I would've loved to push this a bit more - not quite Liara-ish enough, cheaped out on the textures and some of the shading - but honestly I just ran out of time /shrug

Not bad for being half-assed, in any case.

Getting the facial expression right was a challenge, but also very worth it. Plus, I learned a lot!

A commission I did for a friend of mine of one of their OCs!

The lace nearly did me in, which is pretty funny, because I didn't have to do that: the outfit was merely described as vaguely history-inspired, but I knew this would look pretty damn cool - and on the rare occasion on which I let friends actually pay for art, I will at the very least give it my all.

100 days of art, 62/100 - the "can't post all this cool shit I've been drawing yet" problem continues, so, uh. Have a quick material study?

I was trying to capture the translucent nature of another Random Desk Clutter Item, and the way it catches the light from my desk lamp. Didn't quite nail it, but at least the colors are nice.

100 days of art, 61/100 - still can't post the neat stuff I'm working on, so it's time for more doodles!

My method of "opening random folder, picking something at random and then drawing it" keeps taking me places. This is referenced off of an old vacation photo I took probably a decade ago.

100 days of art, 60/100 - still working on commission stuff I can't share (yet, hopefully), so have a very quick doodle of my WoW death knight.

100 days of art, 59/100 - My doodle motif selection method of "randomly clicking something in my image folder" keeps getting me in trouble. Faces in perspective! Hands! Ugh.

100 days of art, 58/100 - Sheridan, my WoW warlock, because that was the first humanoid being in my screencaps folder.

This was supposed to be a quick sketch - I caught myself before I went completely off the deep end, but I don't think this still qualifies as "quick"...
