this is a mean thing to say but it’s my blog so i can say what i like. the folkies my dad knows must think he is reasonably good at playing the fiddle or they wouldn’t invite him to music things or let him be in their morris dancing team. however, i think his fiddle playing sounds like when you make your sims practice violin but they only have one skill point.

my #1 enemy in this world is the ice cream man, whose van plays an ice cream van version of let it be at one billion decibels. and he seems to have the sixth sense for when i am walking my dogs to drive past me and start playing the song. and ofc dog walking is the one time i go out without any form of ear defenders or noise cancelling on bc i need full awareness of my surroundings. so i get fully blasted. also his ice cream van is called john’s whippy which sounds like a horrible euphemism for something. i think i should be allowed to slash his tyres.

i am hopefully going to birmingham aquarium next week i am soooooo excited. i get to go on the train, then the tram, then see a lot of sea creatures, then go on the tram and the train again. the ultimate day out.

slightly extreme example i know, but one of my aunties stayed married to her husband even after he went to prison for stabbing somebody and will defend him to her last breath. that does not mean she is also guilty of stabbing somebody.

i do find it a bit bizarre that people are acting like taylor swift is the first woman to ever date a horrible man who sucks because she thinks she can fix him, and to get defensive when everyone else is like this guy’s terrible you can do better. and that she’s uniquely evil for having done this thing that’s so common as to be cliche. like if having bad taste in men makes you irredeemable i have to condemn pretty much every straight woman i’ve ever met.
