“Right, I am looking forward to the afterparty then, and I will do my very best to perform my job admirably, as always. If news ever gets out, then I am sure everyone will look to me even more.”

She grinned that big, white-toothed grin, then put her hands on her hips and gave him a big smirk. “And you too, if you do a good job of course, partner!”

“Well, we’ll see. For now, all we can do is go over our plans with everyone, and hope for the absolute best.”

Despite her reassurance, he was still thinking of the worst. No, she would be fine. He had to keep telling himself that. Damn that foreboding feeling- making him worry so much for nothing. Well, if anything, he’s got a sleepover ahead of him; if he could still call it that at this age.

“Hah, maybe. Depends on what the situation is like, if all of the villains are running scared it might be safer to return to our homes, as well.”

She stepped back slightly as he let go, and patted his side gently, as if to assure him yet again that everything was going to be just fine, and of course they would have a nice night together. Then again though, staying together in the same space overnight? Well that might be fun too.

Well, now is a good time to relinquish your hold- any longer and it would get awkward. He acknowledged their trust in each other, and put his faith towards them both surviving the night of their assault.

“If it runs into the later hours, we may have to stay somewhere together for the night. Just for the night. Our homes are quite a ways apart from each other. And I think it’d be safer.”

“Oh don’t worry, I don’t doubt you for a minute, I know you’ll get the job done fast and come out alright, like you always do. I will keep my mind on the mission and the Noumous hopefully underfoot.”

Of course she was picked to smash through any defences or traps they might have by simply making their own way in and reducing everything that wasn’t needed to rubble, it wasn’t like there wasn’t going to be plans for weeks to dispose of the place safely to avoid civilians taking too much notice of what was going on.

“I will be looking forward to another evening together with you too, though.”

Kamui nodded his head- thinking about it, they were picked specifically for the types of jobs they specialized in. She was great for the destructive attack they needed, and on the other side, he would be imprisoning the villains. They wouldn’t be picked for these jobs if they couldn’t handle them.

“Heh. Don’t you let the same thing happen to you. Considering the special conditions we’re working on, I don’t think the city officials will mind a little bit of collateral damage too. I won’t waver- and I know you won’t either. I look forward to dinner with you, after all is said and done. Even if the processing has to take a few hours, I’d… really just like another evening together.”

She giggled a bit as he hastily attempted to cover his own tracks, and she gave him another squeeze, resting in his arms since he hadn’t let go yet.

“Well they are powerful heroes in their own right, whether I am fit to stand with them or not, I have powerful backup, just like you do. So I’ll be alright. Then we can get together and do something fun, like dinner somewhere, alright? If everything goes well, then it’ll be a piece of cake, just focus on your mission and don’t you dare get hurt because you’re too worried about me to keep your mind on the mission.”

Just relax. You acted way too reserved for what folks thought an up and comer would act like, and otherwise, she’s putting your fears to rest.

“… thank you. I have to say, I think they might be safer with you around, now that I think about it. New face among them you may be, but you’re very well built.”

Her face was real close now. Well, he technically never let the hug go quite yet. “…. well built when you use gigantification I mean. Offense and defense-wise. I wasn’t implying anything else. Thinking about it like that, I can focus a little more on keeping myself alive, yes.”

“It’ll be alright, don’t worry. My mission is the easier of the two, remember? So don’t worry about me, I’ll be fine. You worry about your more difficult mission, and know I’ll be with Tiger and Endeavor and Jeanist, so I’ll be safe, alright? You just keep your mind on your task.”

She leaned in to gently press her cheek against the side of his mask, and smiled. “You worry about me too much anyway, take care of yourself too. I worry about you too, you know.”

“…. well, it’s just… we’re part of a large operation soon. We don’t know the dangers or risks, and to top it all off, we’re on opposite sides of the town doing our work. I know it’s still a little ways away, but…” He got a really bad feeling for some reason. He didn’t know why, but he feared for both his and her well-being going where they were going.

“…. please, make sure you remain safe no matter what.”

Mt.Lady blinked a few times as Kamui greeted her with so tight a hug, and then slowly lifted her arms and wrapped them tightly around him in return.

“Hey there, Kamui. I didn’t expect so..exciting a greeting when you picked me up for our next patrol. Did something happen, or did you just miss me this much?

“Huh? Oh, Asui Tsuyu..I think it was? Well, why are you here? And what do you need?” She idly patted at the top of the frog girl’s head a few times, she didn’t remember there being a scheduled expedition out here again for awhile, maybe the frog girl got lost? Maybe a camping accident or something?

“Is something the matter?”

She didn’t seem to be much minding the hug, she was still rather curious though.

“I WILL DESTROY LITERALLY EVERYTHING. MY BIGGEST DREAM, AND SERO STOLE IT-!” 

Mt.Lady straightened back up with Deku in the palm of her hand, and raised him a bit towards face level so she could speak to and hear him, and so he would have a good vantage point.

“Just a little longer, alright, Deku? Oh, and I’ll be going to meet with Kamui Woods when we’re done for dinner, so he’ll probably bring along his student too. I don’t know if anyone else will be there, but Kamui has become my partner recently, so you’ll get a chance to meet him in person.”

The rest of the patrol would be uneventful, which wasn’t too uncommon lately, though perhaps it was the calm before the storm. As she promised they would go to dinner with Kamui and his student afterwards, and after that, she would deliver him home safe and sound to his mother for the night.

Whenever or not he should be used to this by now, seeing Mount Lady grow to her full size so rapidly always startled the boy, which quickly stepped out of the way to avoid causing problems for the pro-heroine as she grew. Man, was he lucky to have her on his size - imagine if she was a villain!

As the hand was offered to him, Deku quickly nodded, not answering with words but with his actions, quickly jumping onto that hands and then sitting down, so to not accidentally fall off as she would pull him back up, a thumbs up signaling that he was ready to move. Kinda hard to talk with something one hundred time your size, given how much he would have to yell, so it was better to just gesture to her, isn’t it?

“A-Alright!” He finally answered once she would pull him up, observing the city from above, amazed by both the height he was in now and, well, the fact he was pretty much helping a pro-heroine, riding on her shoulder! Even if it probably was nothing but a normal day for her, this was still an incredible day for the green haired boyo, no matter how much he had to work. Ah, just a few months ago he wasn’t even brave enough to go against a bully, but look at him now, fighting crime and helping up civilians! And he was even invited for a post patrol dinner, which probably meant being able to meet even more pro-heroes! Oh, this day was just great!

What the hell, Aizawa, what the hell. Midnight had just been minding her own business, filing away papers on the student’s last bio grades and all of a sudden as she was about to sit up she was getting kissed. And then it was over so fast! She looked pretty disgruntled as she stood up.

“It wasn’t your choice? Who had the authority to make you track me down and give me a kiss, the headmaster? Did Nedzu have you kiss me? At least have held it a little longer!”

She crossed her arms and pouted noticeably as the slightly younger man turned away. “I’d say I was disappointed but I always assumed you wouldn’t have much experience in these matters.”

                           Midnight? Hmh. Aizawa absent mindedy touches his lips, as if considering what hers might feel like. This wouldn’t be too awkward, would it? With Midnight’s flirty nature……As long as he’s careful not to interrupt her, which would make her angry….

                             He’s not fond of kissing, but whatever. He feels obliged, so he steps towards her and pulls down his scarf ever so slightly. “Midnight -” He begins, but does not finish - he cuts himself off as he gently placed his lips against the dominatrix-wannabe’s own. 

                           He doesn’t linger, simply getting a “taste” per say before immediately pulling back. “Sorry, wasn’t my choice,” He mutters, turning away already….

“Alright, thank you, good luck with your exercises today, Todoroki.” She gave him a slight bow in return, then pulled out a sheaf of paper and started to sort through, she had a few more students to double check if they were with their mentors for the day, and she stuffed the papers back out of sight..wherever it was that she stored them.

“I will see you at the hero tutoring reports later.” She gave him another smile in return for his own, then started off at a brisk trot.

with a sigh, shouto shook his head ❛ i should go back to him, thank you for the offer ❜ he really appreciated the offer and concern, but he had rested long enough and a mission was a mission, he could run away from the other back at home and hide in his room or go for a walk.
