Reflection
I struggled quite a lot deciding on a system and title as I was in a bit of creative block. Through this process, I learned to be more resilient as there were a lot of bumps along the way. The whole printing took me about 3 hours as there were printer issues as well as converting to booklet from my mac wasn't working. I also got sick along the way and had quite a few personal stuff come up, but despite that, I think I managed alright. I like the outcome, I think image-making is a strong point. The cutout pieces of artwork used as a backdrop to the line work match the title of Glimpses as it gives a preview of the interviews and the outline art is created to match the subjects and give further insight into who they are and what they like.  If I were to refine more I would like to edit the other layouts to match better and fix any details I missed. I've also picked on a few areas I need to improve and will aim to do some research over the break.

More content and acknowledgement page iterations - The eye is a bit too literal and looks a bit creepy -The figures placed vertically fills in the space better for the content page

- Tried removing and reducing the brown background, but the images don’t work aswell alone.

Content page spread
- I don’t think the head outlined art is the way to go, the placement is odd and the heads seem a bit too floaty

I continued with the line art and image backdrops style but instead of with people I picked out four objects that related to each interview. I thought that it made sense to place this as the thematic intro pages as it's telling us a bit more about the figures on the cover as well as adding visual interest.

- Experimenting with cover fonts
- I think that The Thin Fingers font matches the line art style.
-I've decided to settle on the line art style created with pieces of the images found within the layouts. I think it's a creative way of referencing the interviews and the outline art helps separate the individuals and ads to the creative style

I had a look at some content and thematic spreads that I owned. I prefer the cookbook's simplest yet stylistic approach instead of the busy photographic magazine spread.

I took a look at The New Yorkers covers to gain some inspiration.

Experiments for the cover design
- I think that the “Individual” cover design with the background created by images within each spread works the best, but I still feel it needs more refining.

Initial quick cover designs - The black and white ideas don't represent the contents well, they look a bit grim.

We got randomly put into groups and then we shared all our spreads. The spreads obove are from the rest of my group piers and will now be part of my book.
