gpsunmi:
A small smirk slips on her face as she clucks her tongue, leaving her arms wrapped around his neck, allowing his words sink in;  The girl had been taller back in her childhood, they had been the same height for such a long time but then she stopped growing. (At least, vertically.) So it was natural, for her to be at least some what jealous  (and a tad bit bothered) about the sudden gap between their faces. At times, she felt like she was looking up to a mountain, and climbing up it to get a small kiss everyday was hard. She started to wonder if she should just wait until he sat down, or have him pick her up every time she wanted one; it’d be a lot simpler and a lot easier for the her, anyway. Sunmi enjoyed the change in perspective. She was able to stand here comfortably, no standing on the tips of he toes until or legs shake or awkward (perhaps slightly suggestive) shifting that sitting on him brought– She could easily look him in the eyes. And of course, it felt amazing to be so tall. It made her wonder how taller people didn’t get a thrill off of how cockier it made her feel. She was in such a good mood tonight, a few light drinks in her system, that she smiles a little bigger than usual; her shyness forgotten at this point. “I will always be taller than you at heart and that’s what matters.” It was natural of her, to be competitive, being ‘the best’ made her feel important, made her feel worth something so it wasn’t surprising that she did so; The video games, small tasks, little tings that would be a small competition for them. It wasn’t a compulsive desire, she’d lose and be just fine, but she never saw anything wrong with a little competition; Especially when it seemed to give her what she wanted. The change in topic as her smile softening; She wanted the pair of boys to get along so bad; both of them had made her happy and she loved both of them in different ways and seeing Jaehwa put in so much effort and care so much about it makes her heart melt, earning another kiss from the girl.
Sunmi had a habit that  made it easy to mold and sculpt her like play doh; She had a habit of making excuses when people wronged her, a habit of letting people who in who shouldn’t.– specifically when that person meant so much to her. It wasn’t that she shouldn’t gotten back with Jaehwa, but there should’ve been bigger consequences, a bigger break. And the conversation had only made her think of the times where she naively trusted other people.– Her good old friend Paranoia slipping into her skin and giving her goosebumps. There’s an uncomfortable pit at the bottom of her stomach and she didn’t want to talk about it anymore, but she’d let it go with just a simple, “You didn’t really lie just.. don’t keep things from me I guess. But it’s okay– I kept all this away from you too. I didn’t want you to be disappointed in me.” And it was true; she knew people had expected and wanted bigger things from her; they wanted her to get rich with her intelligence, marry well and be happy– This was neon of that,(well minus the happy part; she was very content with her life right now.)  but she wouldn’t– No, couldn’t, complain. Because one minor change could’ve stopped her from becoming the person she was today. She’s originally surprised by the kiss, but his lips feel so soft against her’s that it leaves her lingering a bit, her hands slipping from the back of his neck to run down his shoulders before fixing his tie, “You look do fucking good in that tux.” she remarked, making a mental note to buy it for him.
He’s pulling her before she can process what’s happening, lips parting as she tries to ask where there going– stoping midway as she realizes  her body had known all along what this walk was leading to, judging by the urgent need to press her thighs together. She can feel heart pulse start to rise, and a wave of shivers runs down her body but she’s estatic. Sunmi had known from the minute they had first had sex that she was the kinkier of the two; and while she didn’t mind holding off majority of what she was into, it wasn’t like there were things she didn’t want to try with him. It wasn’t his rejection of her dieas that prevented her from bringing it up, (Well in part it was.) but it was more so she just didn’t know how. So you can imagine the elation in her chest as it dawns on her that he’s starting something that she’s into without her even hinting at it. A shy giggle slips inbetween her painted lips, looking caround the crowd to see if any one was watching. Would they get caught? Would they miss her? She doubted it. The married couple seemed to be intermingling, but she had caught Minho and Song Ah together and she knew she could easily bribe Hansol into staying quiet about it if they were caught, so she allows him to back her into the room, already feeling the familliar tingle creep up through her body. This excited her; it gave her a rush she hadn’t felt in a long time and it made her wonder what exactly has brought this on? His own need? Jealousy? Her bottom lips is taught between her teeth, slowly backing into the closet as her eyes adjust to the new found darkness.
Anticipation was never her forte– It was definitely one of the things she hated the most about being so submissive. She hated when she was needy, or just turned on in general and the other took a long time to give her what she needed. But that didn’t mean she’d stop him; There was something about knowing his eyes were on her, and only her, that made her revel in every glance she got from him. In fact, she’s so busy looking at him look at her that she jumps a little at his fingers pushing her dress to the side, resisting the urge to hike it up and show him what she knows he wants to look at it. But she stops herself not wanting to go too fast but knowing they do need to hurry. The sudden grip of her thigh and his body pressed against her’s causes her to whimper, hands lightly touching his neck before the trail to the sides of his arms and she pulls away from him to trail kisses from his neck to his ear, “Do you know how good I’d look without it on? All fucked out? begging for more? Don’t you want to see that baby? ”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
An amused smile pulls at his lips but he can’t find it in him to disagree. Whatever helped her sleep at night. And he knew she had a bigger, taller heart than he did. Jaehwa was willing to let her have this one, no matter how competitive they both were. “R-Really? Thanks. Don’t think I’ve ever dressed so sharp in my life,” he muttered, brushing fingers over the suit jacket. It was a miracle it even fit, since he was iffy about the measurements he’d given. But he was relieved to hear that Sunmi thought he looked good- he wouldn’t have dressed up at all if he wasn’t Sunmi’s date, if  he had only been there to crash the wedding like the rest of his members.
He was still seething, but since it seemed like the wedding party had it in themselves to let it go, let bygones by bygones he had no choice but to let it be water under the bridge. He hoped that this would be the last time he had to choose the girl he loved over his loyalty to the gang- but knowing the way the world worked, it probably wouldn’t be. He could only try to do better. Jaehwa didn’t want to lie to her anymore, and he wouldn’t- unless it was a white lie told to protect her. He would have to be more forthcoming about what was going on his life, what he was really like and what terrible things he’d continue to dirty his hands with. Communication has never been his strong suit, and he lied to her the first night they had sex to protect his pride- pretended to be more experienced than he was (which is to say, not at all) because most would’ve thought someone his age would’ve lost his virginity already- especially because of the kind of life he led. But he was extremely picky, and he was put off by the idea of having sex with anyone he didn’t have some kind of emotional connection with.
The fact that he’d reunited with his childhood bestfriend- his first crush, first love? And then he’d been told that she lived in Korea permanently now. It felt like fate was tempting him. With just a few dates, everything he’d felt back then- spending time with her and getting to know each other all over again reignited his love her with just the toss of a match. He wasn’t as innocent as he’d been in the past, and while he still teased her as often as possible, the supposedly last innocent thing about him had been nipped in the bud, thanks to Sunmi. He knew how stressed out she could get, and while it was a happy night with only one surprising twist- it was probably enough to stress her out and cause her to have some doubts. Jaehwa wasn’t great with words. He was better with touch, and he planned on doing whatever he could to get Sunmi’s mind off of it.
“Take it off,” he says, with a hint of desperation- pleading in his voice, but it’s soon gone. “Or I’ll take it off for you.” He loved how needy she was, loved how she didn’t hesitate to show him or tell him just how much she needed him- and he wanted to give her exactly what she needed, wanted to fill her up with his fingers, his cock, his  love. He pulled down the sleeves of her dress, gentle enough not to rip or tear any of the fabric (if it wasn’t expensive, he wouldn’t have hesitated to rip it) and the top of her dress, enough to expose her breasts. He was itching to get his hands on her, show her just how much her dressing like this frustrated him- his fingers snagging under the waistband of her panties to pull them down and nudging them down far enough until they dropped to the floor. “Fuck, Sun,” he muttered, in wonder. Both hands moved to grab her ass, fingers sinking in to the soft flesh as he pulled her forward and nudged a knee between her legs. “Want to pin you against the wall and fuck you like that? You’re gonna have to be quiet, baby, or I’ll have to cover your mouth again.”
He liked it. Normally when they did this the goal was to drive as many sounds out of Sunmi as possible, every gasp, moan and whimper- but they didn’t have a lot of time and needed to hurry. “Or. You can wrap your arms around my neck and I’ll lift you up, fuck you ‘til you’re moaning so loud you have to bury your face in my shoulder and bite me to get yourself to quiet down,” he suggests, trailing wet open-mouthed kisses on her jaw line as he whispers dirty nothings to her, trying to find out what she wanted. Jaehwa ducked down,  moving a hand to cup one of her breasts, taking the nipple into his mouth and running his tongue over the nub, his other hand still kneading her ass. His cock was straining against the confines of his pants, and he hoped Sunmi would take pity on him soon. “Look how fucking hard I am for you, Sun,” he bit his bottom lip, grinding against the side of her thigh.

“ you say you’re numb inside .. but i can’t agree. ” (jimin, when he found out he was a snake)
Jimin didn’t get it. Sure, they were friends- but Jaehwa didn’t really know what friends were. What did it mean to be a friend? No one had ever tried to be a friend to him, even when he needed a friend more than anything else in the world. It was part of the reason why he was so detached and calloused now, except when it came to certain people. Weaknesses. “You don’t know what I’m really like, Jimin. I could break you beyond repair, if I was so inclined. You should be thankful that all I did was deceive you,” he spits, words venomous. It was funny how Jimin assumed he knew anything about Jaehwa at all. How could Jimin possibly know him when he didn’t even know himself?  “I don’t even feel bad about it.”

gpsunmi:
It was a hassle; One she liked dealing with but a hassle at nonetheless. She wasn’t one for events like this, let alone having such a special part in it, but she was having fun. (Though she couldn’t say she was having fun in these heels, eight inches gave her nothing but pain in her feet and she’d knew that even with the two inch insoles which boosted the 4'11 girl to 5'10,  her feet would be blistered, bruised or cut in some shape or form.) It was times like these that made her wonder that if her mom was still around, would she have taught her how to walk in heels? Would she be here right now?  She thought about Fay and how her and Minho had practically raised her. If Fay was alive would she have taught her how to walk in heels? She certainly wouldn’t be here, she wouldn’t have ever gone to Seoul, would’ve never met the people she’s with today– She would’ve never seen Jaehwa agian. It’s for the first time that, even if the things that happened up until now were terrible, that they had all been to places they had never wanted to be in, that she’s grateful that it happened. As much as she loved the people she lost along the way, she doesn’t think she’d be the same person.
She’s in desperate need of water, tired of the dance floor. (There was only so much she could handle before wanting to collapse into her bed.) Black hair falls into her face a bit as she picks up the short train, being damned if she tripped over her own dress for the second time tonight. It’s when she’s slipping in between people and the feet approach her that she drops the black lace and looks up, smiling sheepishly as she meets his eyes. They’re still on the dance floor, but no where near as deep as she was in before. His words bring a wave of her hand,  "Nah he doesn’t care, he’s over the moon.“ before she leans so that her body his against his, arms wrapping around his neck  before she places as slow kiss on his lips. "I trust you. I don’t think.. You would lie to me like that. ”
Tumblr media
He had noticed the high-heels as soon as he’d arrived to the venue, but he didn’t call attention to it right away. But now was as good of a time as any. He liked the temporary change in height, but only because it meant he could hold her closer against him without either of them leaning in at awkward angles. He remembers her commenting on his height when they’d reunited, and the thought of it brings a smile to his lips. “You really can’t get over the fact that I’m taller than you, huh?” He taunted, leaning in to steal another kiss from her lips, light and teasing, before pulling back enough to look at her. Jaehwa was competitive by nature, and the fact that his girlfriend had a competitive spirit too only endeared him to her more. “I’m glad we didn’t fuck this up for him,” he mutters, scratching the side of his neck sheepishly. He was glad to hear Minho was happy and more or less occupied.
Jaehwa tried not to drink, because when he did the alcohol tended to make him aggressive and more daring than usual. But he’d been so nervous about meeting Sunmi’s brother tonight that he’d thrown caution to the wind and had a few drinks. Sunmi’s words have his expression softening, and he leaned in to press a chaste kiss to her jaw, much softer than he was used to being. “Sun, I don’t plan on lying to you. Not anymore.” Not ever, he wanted to say- but Jaehwa wasn’t one to make promises if he wasn’t sure he could keep them. After all the unexpected events of tonight, he found that he wanted to just be alone with her for a little while so they could catch their breath.
“I want to be alone with you,” he says, reaching to take her hand in his and decisively leads her away from the dance floor, down a hall and into what he assumes must be a supply closet. The lights were off and he wasn’t sure where the lightswitch was, but he was still close enough to Sunmi that he was able to see her. Jaehwa may have been dressed in a fancy tux but at the end of the day he was still a street rat, and while he thought Sunmi looked gorgeous in her dress, he also thought that she looked uncomfortable holding on to her train. He was sure she’d be much more comfortable with it off. He was supposed to be a gentleman, on good behavior tonight, but really- wasn’t making sure his date was comfortable and enjoying herself part of being a gentleman?
Jaehwa took a few steps closer, nudging Sunmi back against a wall and reaching for the slit of her dress, running his fingertips over the fabric before he pulls it even further apart to expose the soft skin of her thigh. “I can’t believe you wore a dress like this..” He muttered quietly, marveling aloud- his eyes darkening at the sight of her bare skin. It was dark, but he’d been come increasingly familiar with Sunmi’s body (and his own for that matter) and he could point out where all of her moles were located if he had enough time. “I wouldn’t have guessed you were such a naughty girl,” he says, leaning in to close the gap between their lips and digging his fingertips into the back of her thigh, pulling her flush up against him.

gpahyeong:
❀ – There were many faces she was eager to see at the wedding, but there were some she was absolutely not expecting to see. Everything was going well, but then a few unexpected people showed up. Taehyung was one of them, but she’d grown accustomed to seeing that handsome face in the weirdest of places. But she hadn’t thought Jaehwa would be somewhere like this. When she spotted him from acorss the room, she had to do a double take. He looked very suave, dressed up and neatly groomed, but her mind told her it couldn’t be him. After minutes of arguing with herself, Ahyeong had come to the conclusion that it had to be. It looked just like him and she swore she knew Jae well enough by now to spot that pretty face anywhere. The only thing she couldn’t figure out was why he was here of all places? “Jaehwa?” She tapped his shoulder lightly, hesitant to make her presence known. “It is you. What on Earth are you doing here?”
Tumblr media
Jaehwa hadn’t been expecting to see Ahyeong tonight, but he hadn’t exactly been expecting to see his fellow gang members either so he couldn’t be too surprised. But everyone attending this wedding was a gang member, or affiliated with them somehow- like family. It didn’t make sense for Ahyeong to be here. He knew her as a sort of neighborhood noona, one of the few good influences he had in his life. But just because she was sweet and always nice to him didn’t mean she wasn’t involved in this kind of life somehow. Maybe she was a medic. Ahyeong always struck him as not only a warm person, but an intelligent one. “Oh.. my girlfriend. Er. I mean. My girlfriends brother is one of the grooms,” he says, clearing his throat.
He felt bad for deceiving her, and it only took a few seconds of eye contact with her before he came clean. The only people he truly felt bad about lying to were Sunmi, Ahyeong and Minah. “By the way, I’m a Snake.” Wording things delicately had never been his strong suit, so he decided to just come right out with it, firing on all cylinders. “I’m sorry for lying to you. And always causing you trouble.” He didn’t like apologizing, and preferred not to do it if he could avoid it- but he felt that Ahyeong was deserving of an apology. Apologizing was like ripping off a bandaid, the quicker, the better.

Things were beginning to calm down, but he couldn’t relax completely. He hasn’t gotten the chance to talk to Sunmi alone yet, not since the Snakes had shown up. He’d been mingling (or a poor attempt at it) and he normally wouldn’t bother with such things, but he was trying to be social tonight. Trying to be likable. Approachable. His efforts had been thwarted the moment Soonhee and the rest had shown up, but at least they hadn’t been forced to leave. He already felt torn between the responsibility he felt to his gang and the responsibility he had towards Sunmi- the only girl he’s ever fallen in love with. “Sun!” He drops the conversation he was having with another wedding guest as soon as he spots her soft black hair among the crowd, rudely nudging the past the person to get to her. Crap. He forgot he was supposed to be nice- he’d just been so excited to see her.
“How is Minho? Is he pissed?” He asked, glancing down at his shoes with a sheepish smile, litfing his head to meet her eyes after a moment. God, she looked beautiful. It was definitely worth renting a suit for tonight, even if the tie had given him trouble. He’d always tried to avoid gawking at Sunmi, but if his eyes lingered on her face any longer than they usually did, he hoped she wouldn’t notice. Or maybe it was better that she did. He didn’t really know, he just wanted to make her feel beautiful without making her feel uncomfortable. “If he is, I’ll live. Just as long as you aren’t mad. I really didn’t know about this.” With everyone else, he could be apathetic and calloused, but being with Sunmi made him earnest.

gpsoonhee:
honestly, soonhee would admit that she’d only been made of the plan to crash the wedding that morning– which had given her enough time to pull together an outfit but.. so she wouldn’t say she herself was truly at fault for this whole fiasco. if there was a party, and drink, then she was sure gonna go along with it after all– just.. well most of them had probably forgotten, or neglected to care about, the fact they had their own gang members there anyway with dates keeping a low profile.
“well someone’s a little snippy.” the female voiced at the way jaehwa asked the question only moments after she’d appeared next to him. “you know, even if they cut it, the celebration won’t end straight away.” soonhee shrugged, fingers pushing back a few loose strands of hair as she watched everyone go about what they were doing, and honestly, even if the snakes had crashed it wasn’t like the wedding had died, it was just spiced up a little more now. not like any of them had weapons on them either– or well, soonhee had a dagger up her sleeve, but that was for protection if anything were to happen. it was instinct now. “stop being so doom and gloom. i mean, for once you actually look great, you can still go and see your date if you really fucking want to, and you put effort into coming out to this. so stop being such a sad faced, angry asshole and actually enjoy yourself. or at least bloody try to. we didn’t come here to start a fight– and i didn’t even know what was happening until this morning.”
Tumblr media
He let out a humorless laugh. “I wonder why.” Soonhee was someone he oould get along with, but only when he was in a decent enough mood. And the sight of them showing up to ruin the wedding of his girlfriend’s brother had been enough to put a damper on that mood. If Sunmi wasn’t so closely involved, if Sunmi wasn’t apart of this equation at all- he wouldn’t have cared, in fact, he would’ve applauded Soonhee’s initiative. He’d been terribly depressed and lost sight of who, what he was before she came along. He didn’t take kindly to Soonhee stirring up trouble like this. Not if it meant it could hurt Sunmi.“...It won’t?” Jaehwa looked up at her, finally, with an incredibly disappointed look on his face. He’d never been to any kind of formal event like this before, so he didn’t know when a wedding was officially considered over. He was disappointed to hear that his misery would not, in fact, end when the cake was cut.
“If you didn’t come to start a fight, then what the fuck are you here for? You’re that hurt you didn’t receive an invitation, huh? As petty as always,“ he quips, narrowing his eyes. She was trying to be nice, in her own terrible way- so he couldn’t stay doom and gloom for long. This was how they communicated with each other, even if it didn’t seem so nice to everyone elses’ ears. Everything she said was right, and the only reason he was really mad was because he didn’t know. “Fine. I’ll try not to be such a sad faced, angry asshole, as you so aptly put it. But after this we need to have a meeting about teamwork. Bambi looks like she’s about to burst into tears. The crybaby.”

gpjeongdae:
Jeongdae was glad he’d already been here before the rest of the snakes had arrived. He didn’t necessarily have anything to hide– anyone who he was close to already knew who he was. Seung, Bokyung, Dohee– they all knew he worked for the snakes, and he had no qualms about it either. He hadn’t been the one to personally attack the rest of them, and he didn’t even really care about most of them anyway, save for the select few.
He’d been surprised by the amount of snakes already attending, how well they’d intertwined with all of the other gangs. But he supposed it was better that way. It put them on top. He’d slid over to Jaehwa, crossing his arms over his chest, providing a small smile at the question, “Fuck, I don’t know? Soon, I hope. I’m hungry. You think I could sneak a piece without them knowing?”
Tumblr media
He’d been trying to pass himself off as a Lost Boy, and the fact that he was now attending the leader’s wedding made him very uncomfortable. He’d been caught in a terrible lie. But things would be fine as long as he didn’t have to look Hansol or Minho in the eye. Jaehwa considered himself to have come clean the minute he spilled his guts to Sunmi, but the truth was that he had a lot of unfinished business with the people he’d been deceiving for the past few months.  “I mean, you could. But I’d have to cut off your hand.” He says, deadpan, glancing up to meet Jeongdae’s eyes.  “Soonhee has already messed up the wedding. We might get kicked out for real if you do that. But who knows? The cake might be good enough to lose a limb over.” Jaehwa had an unusual sense of humor, very morbid-  he wouldn’t actually do such a thing. Not to Jeongdae, anyway. His brother was one of the few people Jaehwa would prefer not to butt heads with.

gpbambi:
She wasn’t surprised Jaehwa was coming for Bambi, expecting answers. She was the second. But Jaesung hadn’t told her shit. He’d up and left and she hadn’t heard from him in weeks. If crashing the wedding was his doing (( which she doubted due to the softer nature of it )) she had no idea. Her eyes were narrowed, leaning in closer to him too, “Of course they didn’t tell me. You think I’d be this angry if they told me?” The longer she sat there, the angrier she got. Her life had been fine before this, difficult, but fine. She’d been happy with Minki, happier than she’d ever been, and that’d all gone up in flames tonight because of this. Not to mention, with the gang acting out, and Jaesung gone, she’d have to be the one to punish them. And she hated that.
Her upper lip curled as he snatched her drink away from her, finishing it off before she could. Without hesitation, she snapped at him, “You’re going to buy me another drink, Jaehwa. Now.” Her words were snappier than usual, snappier than ever, really. She wasn’t in the fucking mood.
Tumblr media
He frowned, giving a shrug of his shoulders. “I was hoping they told somebody. Even if it means telling you.” He was never particularly nice to Bambi, but that was mostly because he considered her a rival rather than just because he hated her. She was too sweet to hate, even for a hateful bastard like Jaehwa. But he didn’t know why she was lashing out at him, when he wasn’t the one who crashed the wedding and ruined her evening with her date. “Aw. Is the baby finally growing a back bone? Too little, too late.” If he really wanted a fight, he would’ve reached out to pat her head in a condescending manner- but at the end of the day, he didn’t really want to fight Bambi. Certainly not now. He steeled himself, jaw clenched as he forced himself to apologize. “..Sorry. I didn’t mean to be a dick, Bambi. Misdirecting our anger isn’t going to get us anywhere.” He didn’t know how to salvage the evening, but getting their second-in-command into a better mood would be as good of a start as any. He stood up from their table, disappearing without a word. He reappeared at Bambi’s side a moment later, pressing an entire bottle of soju he’d stolen from the bar when it’s tender wasn’t looking, into her side. This was as good of a peace offering as she was going to get for right now.

As soon as he saw the faces of their uninvited gang members, he’d shot their second in command a horrified look and didn’t dare speak a word. Jaehwa was more or less classless, but he was going to try and pretend for Sunmi’s sake- or at least he was. He could only imagine how big of a faux pas this was. He leaned in across the table, whisper-yelling at Bambi. “What the fuck? Did they tell you they were going to do this?” From a tactical standpoint, he gets why they chose to crash the wedding- events like this made the perfect blood baths, but he couldn’t think like that anymore. Though he found it baffling that they were crashing the wedding just for the sake of crashing it and didn’t plan on maiming anyone, he decided to count his blessings.
As soon as he found out that Jaesung had practically deserted them, Jaehwa threw in the towel and stopped trying so hard to prove himself. Their leader had gotten cold feet, and now the very foundation of the gang that they’d tried so hard to build up was crumbling. Maybe he was just being dramatic. Bambi was a terrible second in command, and he was a terrible enforcer. They were traitors in arms. “Give me that,” he says, reaching for the vodka and taking a deep pull from it before she even had a chance to grant him permission. He didn’t normally drink, but right now it felt necessary if he was going to enjoy the rest of their night.

The girl was tense, to say the least. Jaesung had gone missing, and the snakes had decided to fuck up her evening. Her cover had been blown, before, everyone thinking she was just out of the gang life, but now they all knew who she was. A traitor, the second in command to the snakes. She’d been having such a nice evening, too, dancing with Minki, almost at ease despite being surrounded by people she betrayed. But now?
Sitting at her table, she let out a sigh, taking a deep swig of her vodka, eyeing up her gang members. She had to make sure they didn’t ruin this evening for anyone else– more than they already had.

He hadn’t expected Sunmi to forgive him after she found out all the things he’d done, that he was a Snake- much less still want him to be her date. He was over the moon, and for once in his life actually tried to look nice. He’d gotten so caught up in his own happiness, to the point where he didn’t even know that his fellow gang members were going to try and crash the wedding. Jaehwa was seething. He didn’t know if he was mad at them, or himself. He felt like a traitor for even being here. They didn’t tell him about their plans, and now they were being allowed to stay?
It wasn’t like he couldn’t understand why, the grooms and bride probably didn’t want their night to be ruined and for things to escalate. He was staring a hole into the fine china at their table, brows creased with confusion. “When are they going to cut the cake?” He turned to the person hovering  next to him, the question coming out more irritable and impatient than he’d intended. He had no ill will towards the bride and grooms, really, he just wanted to be able to end the night without getting blood on the suit he rented for the occasion.

“Are you praising or cursing me?” (Deok
If anyone knew how rotten his thoughts really were, how dirty his mouth really was- few people would stick around. “I always curse you, ahjumma. It’s just not always audible.” He raised a brow, hands shoved deep in the pockets of his overcoat. Jaehwa normally didn’t dress to draw attention to himself, but today he was dressed every bit as shady as he actually was. He’d done plenty of surveillance with Soonhee, taking their time to learn about the enemy- even though he was no longer being ordered to do these things, he still did them out of habit. Though now it was much less subtle, not stalking any more- it was more like openly gawking.
Deokhye was like a car wreck you just couldn’t look away from. Their dynamic had oddly changed once he pulled a knife on her, and now she was almost mentoring him. This was fine with Jaehwa. His real mother was messed up enough and didn’t seem to care much about his wellbeing, so he didn’t mind a much more tolerable and entertaining maternal figure in his life. “As much as I hate to, I have to praise you. You’re so committed to the lie. How long have you been stringing that poor sucker on for, again? Months?” The cons Jaehwa tried to pull were on a much smaller scale, one or two day things at best- so he was amazed at how dedicated Deokhye seemed to be at her craft.

“Did I hit him? I did, huh?”
It took a lot to shock Jaehwa. He’s taken judo since he was eight, and whenever someone starts swinging at him his body usually reacted quicker than his mind could. The man he had brushed past a few minutes ago (and lifted a wallet from) had seemed to realize that Jaehwa hadn’t been feeling him up. On the crowded dance floor with several other people invading his personal bubble, he hadn’t even noticed the fist flying towards the back of his head- but Dohee had, and she suckerpunched the guy before Jaehwa could even process what was happening. He both hated and loved going to clubs, because the people here were normally drugged up and that much easier to steal from but also a lot more touchy. The people around them cleared pretty quickly at the sound of fists flying, and Jaehwa quickly ran up to Dohee’s side, leading her to the bathroom. “Noona! Your hands!” He was panicking, and though it was unsightly behavior he couldn’t stop himself from doing it. He knew the girls he chose to spend his time around could easily knock his lights out, but seeing really was believing. Minah saying she was going to open-hand slap him across the face was different than her actually doing it. The Ivory Hand girls were fucking terrifying. He realizes that now.
He examined Dohee’s knuckles, worry creasing his brows. “I’m proud.. but also pissed off. Reckless behavior is my thing,” he says with a snort, making her stand by the sink while he got some wet paper towels to wipe off the blood marring her knuckles. “You might be crazier than I thought you were.” You’d have to be crazy to go along with some of the shoddy schemes Jaehwa came up with. He normally planned things so Dohee was out of danger, but if Dohee could throw a punch like that.. All the more trouble for them to get into. “We don’t have to split it 50/50 this time. Whole thing is yours, since you went and did that,” he clicked his tongue, but a fond smile graced his lips, avoiding eye contact as he focused on cleaning her up. He could never stay mad at Dohee for very long.
