Don't know if you know this since you mentioned having a hard time redesigning vox for the pirate au but his canon design has some little shark motifs! (The vees also have a pet hammer shark i think?)

Here’s the Pirate AU it is originally by @goshdanghowdy I just like to turn others ideas into comics sometimes.

Personally I love the more sweeter aspect of this ship so I’m really sappy lol. The idea I think is gonna take a different route for the other person but my own take on it is this.

Adam hunts sea beasts and creatures for the Royal Navy (heaven) and he runs into an old friend of his (Lucifer). Their history is short but they had met each other when Adam was a young adult and almost drowned, Lucifer saved him. However when Lucifer was protecting Liliths nest from invaders he accidentally hurt Adam causing the scare on his face. Adam ran from Lucifer his feelings hurt that the kraken would hurt him. Lucifer of course didn’t mean to, it was the heat of the moment kinda thing.

Years later after Lilith had left the kraken and Adam is a Sea monster Hunter

He runs into the King of The Seas boat “The Inevitable End” (idk I can’t think of a name that’s just a place holder) Adam didn’t have much of a chance when he was going up against a kraken, or more like the king of all kraken.

Thus leading to Adam’s capture and my comic begins lol. But that’s just how I would like to think it plays out I know the other person had something else planned so don’t take my idea as gospel. It’s just an idea lol.

For your AU, does Alastor, Rosie and/or the Vees have any part in it?

Yes but I'm figuring out how and to what degree! You're gonna get a whole doodle page on them + maybe some of the other overlords I personally like quite a bit (Zestial).

I'm imagining Alstor, Mimzy and Rosie are deep-sea sort of seamonsters who disappear and reappear now and then (usually not with good tidings). Alastor is pretty apathetic to humans but will sink a ship should it make itself a nuisance.

The Vees I see as a group who are actively hostile to humans and actively roll around the seas sinking ships, causing havoc and altogether making themselves known (and feared).

Vox has to be redesigned a lot more than usual, bc Vox obviously doesn't suit the 1700-1800s pirate vibe LOL. Might go with a human form as my starting base.

Its admittedly a little weird including Alastor and Vox bc TV and radio don't exist yet, but then again, they're not demons, they're sea monster so I'll focus on translating their characters/motivations over their official titles.

Also I haven't drawn them yet but I'm gonna add Cherri and Pentious to Lucifers crew!
