every video game released as part of a larger series/franchise should have a mandatory waiting period of 5 years between a game release and any sequels or dlc planned afterwards. not to give enough time to make sure the sequel's good and finished, but to drive speedrunners to the state of content-deprived near-insanity where they start doing ridiculous runs like randomizing npc dialogue or cutting every blade of grass

They also have technology literacy classes at most colleges!
I had a short section on it when I took a business applications class and it was insightful on how certain things actually worked as someone who grew up learning computers myself.
I suggest everyone take at least one, even if you understand technology, I think it gives you a good idea of it’s origins and how we get things to work and how it’s evolved over time to what it is today.
Me: oh yeah, if you think school photography is hard now, try imagining doing this with film.
The new girl: what’s film?
Me: … film. Like… film that goes in a film camera.
New girl: what’s that mean?
Me: … before cameras were digital.
New girl: how did you do it before digital?
Me:… with film? I haven’t had enough coffee for this conversation
