GOODLUCK SET TO TOUR EUROPE THIS AUGUST WITH HEADLINE EVENTS IN LONDON AND AMSTERDAM

OFF THE BACK OF THEIR INTERNATIONAL SUCCESS WITH ‘BE YOURSELF’

If there’s one bit of advice we we’re given throughout our lives, it’s these two golden words... ‘be yourself’ - and what better way to celebrate it than through the gift of music.

Earlier this year, SA’s electronic trio released their new single ‘Be Yourself’ off their new independent record label Get Lucky Records™, featuring their close friend from the Netherlands, DJ and Producer Boris Smith. The single is climbing the charts around the world from Mexico to Switzerland, and claiming top spots and garnering local and international attention in South Africa and the Netherlands. And excitingly, the single has been selected as the official anthem for the 2018 Hockey World Champions League. Just last week, the band announced the signing of the single worldwide to Armada Music opening it to an incredible global audience!

This August the dynamic trio have confirmed two headline shows in Europe – on Friday 3rd August at The Garage in London, with support from South African talent, The Kiffness. And on Saturday 4th August at Melkweg in Amsterdam coinciding with the city’s popular Gay Pride where thousands come together in celebration.

SA’s electronic trio release their new single ‘Be Yourself’ on their brand new independent record label dubbed Get Lucky Records™ (international platforms) and Sony Music Africa for their Southern African fans. This label is the next big step in the band’s career and will focus on finding solely African talent for the international market.  The band are in talks with Bridges for Music to give back to the non-profit organisation with the hope to encourage Africa’s undiscovered talent to achieve global reach.

‘Be Yourself’ features a close friend from the Netherlands, DJ and Producer Boris Smith. Sharing his new sound with the world the Dutch muso has worked with the industry’s top talent such as Tiesto, Hardwell, Dannic and many more. While on tour in Europe, the band joined forces with Boris to produce the new single.

The new international record label Get Lucky Records™, formed in partnership with their manager Row Weber, is geared towards signing and empowering talent out of Africa for global music release. The idea came from the band’s first steps into the international market with signing to ULTRA Music in 2016, and wanting to open up opportunities for their fellow Africans as well as distributing their catalogue worldwide through their own label house. This move shows their confidence as a band and their sway as an independent music force across the globe. An exciting chapter to take control of their craft from the bottom up.

The band’s lead vocalist, Juliet Harding says, ‘This is my favourite track off our latest album [The Nature Within] as I was doing a lot of soul searching at the time whilst writing the lyrics - it’s an honest look into one’s self-worth and encourages everyone to be who they are and ignore the pressure to conform. GOODLUCK TO FINALLY HEADLINE THEIR FIRST KIRSTENBOSCH SUNDAY SUNSET CONCERT ON THE 4TH OF MARCH WITH THE KIFFNESS.

SAMA award-winning electronic trio GoodLuck, along with friends The Kiffness, will perform for the first time to an expected sold-out audience this March at the popular Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concert series. “We are so excited that this day has finally come!” says vocalist Juliet Harding, “it has been a long journey, we have waited 7 years to be billed on the Kirstenbosch Sunday concert lineup, and it means so much to us that we get to perform in the most beautiful venue in the world for our hometown crowd!”

The picturesque venue is well known for its iconic Sunday concerts on the lawn with some of the country’s top acts as well an array of international artists who have performed at Kirstenbosch. GoodLuck join some of the world’s biggest acts like Jungle, Bastille, Texas, Xavier Rudd, Angus & Julia Stone, Josh Groban and many more.

“We are pulling out all the stops for this show” says producer Ben Peters, “We are ready with a production and concert like nothing you have ever seen before from GoodLuck! We are also super excited to be sharing the stage with our good friends, The Kiffness”

Every Sunday from the end of November 2017 until the beginning of April 2018, intimate concerts are held at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden where the whole family and friends can picnic and enjoy a bottle of wine and enjoy some of South Africa's best live music while the sun slips behind the Table Mountain range. GET LUCKY SUMMER NYE USHERS IN 2018 WITH SA’S TOP ACTS GOODLUCK, MANGO GROOVE & MATTHEW MOLE FOR UNFORGETTABLE NEW YEAR’S EVE CELEBRATION

The Garden Route’s favourite music series, Get Lucky Summer, hosted its first New Year’s Eve edition in Plettenberg Bay this past weekend with concert-goers in the thousands, ushering in 2018 in style!

The trendy holiday destination saw a sell-out crowd take over the Robberg Rugby Club field for a musical celebration with some of the country’s top acts. Friends and family said goodbye to 2017 at the bay’s biggest NYE concert in the last 10 years. The best in electronic, afro-pop, folk and pop music - this New Year’s Eve concert has set the bar for 'end of year' celebrations to come.

Opening up the party was Plett local, and DJ legend DJ BUTTERS who warmed up the crowd with his blend of tropical and deep house, before the live bands took to the stage.

Lyrical muso Matthew Mole had the audience singing along to his popular array of hits, and proved his effortless skill at wowing his fans. His multi-instrumental approach set the bench mark for an evening that went from strength to strength.

The country’s iconic afropop band Mango Groove, performed their number one hits from over the years to echoing cheers from the crowd, proving their force as one of the country’s most revered bands. The band’s lead singer, Claire Johnston said, ‘What a glorious way to see in this bright and shiny new year! It was so lovely to perform in Plett again after so many years and to have people of all ages sing our songs with us and celebrate being South African. 2018 feels good already!’

Ringing in the New Year and energising the party crowd to a fever pitch, was South Africa’s very own, top electronic trio GoodLuck. With their unique set lighting and on-stage electricity they had the crowd on their feet into the first few hours of 2018. Performing hit after hit, Jules, Ben and Matt ensured 2018 kicked off with a bang! ‘Tonight was the culmination of an incredible amount of hard work from our team and this concert is a dream come true for us all, everyone brought their A-game tonight! said Ben Peters.

As Midnight came and went under an explosion of special effects and a gigantic '18' that lit up the stage, the New Year had one more surprise for the 3000 strong crowd… at exactly 12:15 the heavens opened up and a light rain began falling in the water scarce town. ‘You’d had to have been there to believe it, thousands of people dancing in the rain singing our last song as our set came to an end,’  said Jules Harding. ‘I still have goose bumps just thinking about it!” Clothes were discarded, caution thrown to the wind and Plett’s inaugural Get Lucky Summer NYE event wound down as the rain fell on an audience who are probably still wondering, How did we get so lucky...

An unforgettable night, under the Garden Route stars and the best lineup the town has seen for decades!

Get Lucky Summer has grown to be GoodLuck and Plettenberg Bay’s biggest summer residency. The Get Lucky Summer Series will be back in 2018 after a string of sold-out concerts last season. More information about this season’s events and lineup to be announced in the coming months. Stay tuned!

AWARD-WINNING, LIVE ELECTRONIC TRIO GOODLUCK, RELEASE MUSIC VIDEO FOR LATEST HIT SINGLE, ‘SAVED BY THE SUMMER’

When it comes to perfect Summer soundtracks, Cape Town’s electronic trio GoodLuck, know how to do it best! Recently released world-wide, GoodLuck’s latest offering,‘Saved by the Summer’, is proving to be another smash Summer hit, but this time the hype has been spearheaded by the band’s international fans with a premier on Hype Machine and the track tearing up global Spotify playlists. Today, GoodLuck release the highly anticipated music video which was filmed in Indonesia on the tropical island of Bali. It features famous Youtube Vlogger Sean Kitching, who conceptualised, filmed, starred-in the video, and edited this exciting collaboration between video and music.

The track is a down-tempo, nostalgic production that sets the tone for a dreamy Summer - Saved by the Summer echoes the band’s previous hit, Taking it Easy.  “We can’t help ourselves”, says the band’s producer Ben Peters, “living in this city by the ocean inspires these songs and I guess that’s why they fit vacation playlists so well.”  

The trio have already had two successful releases with Armada and Ultra Music US and if their Spotify stats are anything to go by, the world is clearly agreeing they’re onto something special.

The song features the groups vocalist Jules Harding, who performs a laid-back vocals style that fits the production and transports the listener to an island beach within seconds - this is a sundowner soundtrack if ever there was one and a goldmine for movie syncs. Harding says of the lyrics which she penned on the balcony of her beachfront apartment, “I wanted to capture that feeling of Summer holidays, the way we just let go when we are away from home and that sense of depression we all have when we’re sitting back at our desks after a magical vacation - I guess it’s bittersweet!”

The band who have the enviable luck of chasing the Sun, are headed straight into a jam-packed calendar for the South African Summer season including their annual Summer residency Get Lucky Summer. “It’s a wonderful thing that our home country is in the Southern Hemisphere”, says Matthew O’Connell - keyboardist and saxophonist of GoodLuck, “We get to enjoy the best of the European festival season and come home to a crazy schedule for our Summer!”

Their live performances are electric and if you’re lucky enough to be on vacation in Cape Town, Plett or Knysna, you cannot afford to miss one of their shows.

AFRICA’S DJ GANYANI JOINS FORCES WITH GOODLUCK TO RELEASE HIT TRACK ‘FADING’

With the global tastemakers of electronic music turning their full focus on the exciting and vibrant sounds erupting from Africa, comes the news that two of South Africa’s biggest electronic acts have paired up to bring one of the most exciting collaborations of 2017.

SA’s top electronic band GoodLuck have paired up with the King of Afro-house, DJ Ganyani to bring the new hit track, ‘Fading’. The artists, who connected with each other through Twitter worked together to create a masterful piece of melodic house music that has roots firmly in Africa.

DJ Ganyani’s contribution to African music over the years has been a game changer in the House Music genre. He’s an industry heavyweight and a turn-tablism master hailed across South Africa, Botswana, Swaziland and Lesotho for his incredible talent. He is a pioneer and a veteran of African dance music.

GoodLuck, famous for pushing the boundaries of live-sampling and instrumentation in electronic music, have had quite an extraordinary start to 2017. With their first global signings to Ultra Records and Armada Records, reaching over 5 million plays on Spotify, the band have also just signed to Four Artists for representation in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

GoodLuck and DJ Ganyani are incredibly grateful for the fan’s response to the new single that debuted at number one on the YFM charts and number one on the South African House music chart the first week of release. May 2017 South African Music Awards (SAMA’s) winners!

After 6 years as a band, 8 Number 1 radio hits, a whopping 14 radio singles, 6 SAMA nominations (including 2 Record of the Year nods) and literally hundreds of sold out shows around the world... they can finally call themselves South African Music Awards (SAMA’s) winners!

On Saturday night at Sun City, the SAMA's announced GoodLuck as the winner of the Best Pop Album in South Africa, a category which put them up against some of the biggest names in the country. This is the band’s first SAMA win for their 3rd self produced and mixed studio album “The Nature Within” - a record that was written and produced by the band as they toured through 16 different countries in 2016. GoodLuck were not able to collect their award as they were performing at the Bush Fire Festival in Swaziland but they had this to say, ‘’This award is entirely for you & your love and support. Thank you!’’

The international record signing ushers in a new and exciting era for GoodLuck as a local electronic act with the world at their feet. The big news is finally out for live-electronic trio GoodLuck! The band, who are currently touring and writing in the USA have just signed their first global record deal with Ultra Music Records in the States and Sony B1 Recordings in Germany joining some of the world’s dance music elite alongside Calvin Harris, Steve Aoki, Deadmau5, Benny Benassi, KYGO to name a few.

Consistently blowing listeners away with their live shows, ease of production and inspired pop style, GoodLuck are set to release ‘I’ve Been Thinking About You’ to the world on March 31st. The track, already a huge hit here at home in South Africa with a #1 on radio in 2016, will be released alongside a pacey dance floor remix from Girls Love DJs & Boris Smith.
