“Your sister isn’t wrong. I mean, you’ve been in the public eye how long? And you still haven’t experienced the Hollywood lifestyle?”
His first experience took place at only fifteen. He remembered the first club he got into, the first drink he most definitely never should have had. It was a night he would never forget, not to mention a night he continuously lived over.
He couldn’t be offended even if he wanted to be. She wasn’t wrong. That was exactly what himself and the cast of Mackenzie Falls got up to. “You make it sound like it’s a bad thing.” And maybe it was, he didn’t know. But it sure did keep the single life happy. “But tonight, none of that will be on the cards for me. Well except the drinking part and the only person I’ll be taking home, is you.”
There was a pause as he realised how wrong that sounded. His lips pressed together before he attempted to quickly correct himself. “And by that I mean, you know, to wherever it is that you’re staying, and not back to mine. Obviously.” His throat cleared as he shook his head at himself.
It was a surprise now more than it would have been before that she trusted him. It was surprising to him that anyone trusted him. “You do? Well I don’t plan on letting you down, so.” He could only hope she wouldn’t regret it.
"For quite a while now,” Mo admitted. “Part of the reason why I never experienced the Hollywood lifestyle is because I wanted to set a good example for my sister, and because my parents wouldn’t be pleased with me. It’s this whole culture thing. I’ll explain it to you another time if you want.”
"It’s not. I mean, I don’t know. I don’t think it is. To each their own. But...” Mo shrugged. “...what do you have to gain from laying next to a warm body over and over again? People are so smart and so beautiful and each one of us have lived experiences that are so wildly different to our own. I just---I don’t know. I think you’re missing out on a good conversation. And inspiration. But that’s just me. Honestly, the amount of times my sister’s rolled her eyes at me because, and I quote, ‘would rather pick someone’s brain before I pick them’. And it’s not like that. I mean---I want... I---I don’t want to be a notch in someone’s bedpost. That’s all. I want it to mean something. I think it should... mean something.”
A nod of the head, and then: “Yeah. I do. I do trust you.”
“Oh---” Mo laughed softly, inwardly cursing herself for the way her brain ran off with that particular tidbit of information. “---sure, yeah, okay.”

the excitement in mo’s voice was enough to make sonny smile wider as she finally made it inside the commissary where a few more of the actors from the different shows were eating. already moving towards the froyo machine and handing the other a small paper bowl, “go wild, but make sure to save some oreos for me.”
“will do,” mo chuckled, and went to work. when she was done with making her froyo, and satisfied that it looked exactly the way she wanted it to, she stepped aside. “there. done. now it’s your turn.”

“i’ll make sure it is the best tour ever!” a laugh falling from her lips, she nodded and continued making her way towards the commissary. then she immediately replied, “oreos. oreos all the way. having a cookie and froyo together is just the best combination ever. two desserts in one!”
"i want that!” mo exclaimed. she hadn’t even known it was possible. but now that she knew, she wanted it. her lips curled up into a warm smile. “as for the best tour ever, i’m sure it’ll be just that.” after all, sonny was already delivering on her promise just by being her sunshine-y self. “ready when you are.”

“yeah, let’s go get the froyo!” sonny automatically agreed as she began to lead the other towards the commissary. “and maybe after, i can give you the entire tour of the studios?” she suggested with an excited grin. already mentally preparing to avoid the mackenzie falls set. not really wanting to run into her ex.
“that would be so great! mohini beamed. “i would be honored to go on a tour, led by the great sonny munroe!” her smile grew, if possible, even wider. “i haven’t had froyo in a long while, though. you’re probably gonna have to help me out. what’s your favorite topping?”

“I want to. Try, I mean. New things. My little sister always tells me I need to. So this is me trying, I guess.” Quiet laughter escaped her lips and she fondly shook her head.
It’s kind of sweet, she thought, that he went out of his way to give her the full on Hollywood experience. It was part and parcel of being as famous as they were. Still, it was sweet in a Chad Dylan Cooper-esque way.
“Dunno,” Mo shrugged, dark eyes searching his face. “You get up to what all the goras - uh, white people - get up to, I think. You drink. You dance. You drink some more. You dance some more. You take someone home but you make no emotional connection whatsoever. Lather, rinse, repeat.”
She dipped her head at his words. “I’ll hold you to that, mister.” She’s putting her heart in his hands here. Or, at least, her body. “I trust you.”

He wouldn’t force her on a night out she wouldn’t enjoy. If the answer was a simple no, he’d think of something else, come up with something just the two of them could get up to. The possibilities in California were endless. But he just wanted to give her a taste of Hollywood life, specifically the one that came with their fame.
It wouldn’t just be the two of them if she agreed. He was sure his cast mates would tag along, but separate from them for most of the night.
His brows furrowed at her one condition, curious as to what she assumed or believed he got up to on his club nights out. “Wait a minute, what do you think we get up to?” Sure, most weekends spent partying ended in taking no names home but that wouldn’t happen while he was with her.
“Okay, look, I’m not gonna leave your side and if anything too wild happens, we’ll get out of there.”

does he not realize that mohini banerjee has never gone clubbing before, ever? after playing madison square garden, the band celebrated by holing up in their hotel room, watching movies and laughing with each other until they all fell asleep against one another.
it had been beautifully wholesome.
but this is chad dylan cooper. and he intrigues her. and her little sister - madhumati - is always urging her to try out new things. her brown eyes cut to his blue ones and a small smile blooms on her lips.
“sure, i mean...” mohini trails off, unsure of what she wants to say before she says it anyway. “...on one condition: you stick with me, okay? i’ve never done anything like this before. lemonade mouth may be on a break right now, but we still have a reputation. i can’t do anything to tarnish that.”
