Black women are so inspiring.
Growing up, I would always squeal when I saw Ashley and Hilary Banks on TV, when I was younger, I used to fawn over artists like Doechii, Megan, Rico, and Bree Runway. And now that social media has become a lucrative career, I'm continuously introduced to amazing and talented Black women who are changing the world and raising the bar.
My only hope in life is to be as awe-inspiring to the next generation of young Black girls as these Black women are and have been to me.

suzanne collins is such a genius... the cultural phenomena of her series leading to the hanging tree house remixes, mockingjay being milked for two (bad) movies, the capitol-inspired makeup palettes, the halloween costumes, the explosion of the market for dystopia, the butchering of her characters and removal of disabilities, disfiguration, and racial tension + representation to sell more tickets, the extra gale scenes to fuel discourse, and the audience showing up to cinemas to watch what was pretty honestly marketed to them (the jacob vs edwardification of the symbolic love story and also to watch children fight to the death) it's just so ridiculously ironic i would say you can't write this shit, but she did write about it... in The Hunger Games published 2008

the idea that there's some innate knowledge that comes with womanhood is inherently bad and like suggesting that 13 somehow gained access to that coz he's a woman and then immediately lost it when he regenerated is so ?? like he was still the same person as 13 and she's the same person now like even if i accept that she somehow would have some Woman Power as 13 why would she then lose it just coz she's a man now. like gender essentialism isn't cute even if it's trans inclusive please 😭

🗡 ♡ 🗡 ♡ 🗡♡ 🗡♡ 🗡♡ 🗡♡ 🗡♡ 🗡 ♡ 🗡
Uraume had drove Sukuna to his office early. Since he was back from abroad people were more productive in the main office. The whole day at the company was calm and soon it was afternoon. Sukuna was sitting in his office chair facing the tall windows watching the sunset. A knock on his door woke his peaceful daze and it annoyed him. "What." he said sternly and loudly. "Uraume, Sir."
Sukuna still wore an annoyed look in his face as he hummed in response and turned his chair to face his assistant. Uraume had been Ryomen's assistant since he was 5. Uraume's family had been serving the Sukuna clan for decade. They are the go to family whenever his grandfather hired a personnel. Since then they have been a long trusted ally. "Where have you been?" "Your father had summoned me for the black carat operation. I'm here now to take you on your first evening with your grandfather's chosen candidate." Sukuna hummed unamused. "everything is set?" "Yes sir, the reservations had been made. Presents and flowers are all set in the car." "Alright." The scheduled dates happened for two weeks and it was always after work. Dates are suppose to be fun and all but since he was doing this for his grandparents it felt like work as well. Sukuna met with different women each day and for someone who dislikes comitment and is a total fuck boy, his actions towards them are of a true gentleman giving them compliments, expensive gifts, eating at the fanciest restaurants and being a romantic for the whole night.
Some of the women couldn't help but sleep with him, little do they know that Sukuna was not taking this dates seriously. Although some of them were his type, it was usually just sexual attraction and not really heading for any comitment.
One evening, Sukuna was collecting his papers for the night when his phone started vibrating on his desk. His eyes darted at the caller ID and saw his grandfather's name. His probably gonna ask about the dates. "Grandpa." said Sukuna placing his the phone on his right ear. "I've been hearing good feedbacks from the ladies, they all seemed to have a good time with you...- Sukuna was about to respond but was quickly cut off. -so this means you still haven't taken this seriously huh?" his grandfather chuckled darkly on the other line. "Another batch, wasted." Sukuna greeted his teeth behind his lips sensing threat in his grandfather's chuckle. This isn't the first time that his grandparents would arrange dates for him, they have been since he turned 18. By now it should be obvious that he doesn't want anything to do with marriages since he doesn't take these arrangrments seriously.
"I can see what you're doing. You're not that hard to read, Ryomen. Your father did raise you so I'm sure he taught you a couple of loopholes about the position." Sukuna quietly swallows a lump of guilt in his throat. His grandfather was clearly getting impatient. "Now remember my boy, the position isn't permanently yours to keep if you don't plan on flourishing our family tree." His grandfather could be heard sucking the soul out of a cigar and huffs. "The bloodline is what should and must always be the priority here, not the money. Don't be like your father, Ryomen." A quick silence fall in the call. "You may be the eldest and have all the rights to sit in the throne but you don't call the shots here. I myself, loves to give others opportunity even if that person is not worthy."
Sukuna instantly thought of his brother Yuuji.
"I'm in my dying years, so please make your elders happy. Do not try me Ryomen, I know what you fear." the call ended right away. Sukuna let's out an outward sigh of relief and looked at the screen of his phone. He knew this day would come but he didn't expect to be threatened. Sukuna's plan had always been to wait until his grandfather dies and permenantly have the throne to himself completely disregarding all the idiotic traditions. But as long as his alive he can take anything away. For the first time Sukuna felt pressured to get married. The threat his grandfather made sounded like he was being told directly that Yuuji would replace him if he doesn't do his wishes. Sukuna went through his contacts and pressed the top person. "Uraume. Are there any other women left on the list?" Uraume furrowed his eyebrows wondering what he meant but quickly realized that it was about the candidates list and checked his phone. "I believe we've went through all of them, Sir." "Tch...there must be atleast one woman in this list that's not a gold digger or a whore." Sukuna murmured through the call rubbing his thumb on the middle part of his forehead. "do you remember that woman with blonde hair, big boobs and wore a whorish red dress?" "Uhm...Miss. Meiyin Takanaga?" Uraume unconfidently checking the photos of the candidates. Even though he usually has a clear memory of events but with the number of women that his boss dated he couldn't keep track of it anymore. "I don't give a fuck also that short brown haired girl too who wore a black dress and had a big ass, call them back for a second date." Sukuna then hangs up and leaves all the work to Uraume. Uraume feeling a little panicked as he tries to recall the women through his files. As he was able to recall them, he started sending the messages when suddenly he received an emai from old Mrs. Sukuna. Uraume, I left out a candidate on the list we will be meeting them tonight check your email. Uraume quickly went to his inbox and saw an email from the old lady. "Hayashida Xayah."
A loud sound of a speeding big bike came across the loose intersection of Tokyo. People in their cars couldn't help but be annoyed by the sound but once their eyes landed on the bike, they can't helped but be stunned from the purple neon glow of a big bike that sped pass them. "Where is she?! This will be very embarrassing to the Sukuna's if we come in late!" a frantic adult man was throwing a fit in a parking lot of a private japanese tea house. He wore a dark purple formal kimono. "Calm down, your causing a scene in the parking lot." said the woman next to him who had her phone to her ear.  She was also annoyed at this point. The phone number she was calling kept ringing on the other end but no one answering. "Well?!" the frantic husband asked. The Wife looked at him and shook her head. The husband balled his hand into a fist and the sight scared his wife. "She'll get what's coming to her." his wife was scared for her step daughter. Soon a purple big bike appeared in the parking lot. Judging by the aesthetic of the bike, the married couple knew who it was. The daughter saw her furious father and anticipated the worst. As soon as she removed her black helmet a strong slap came  to her face. "Yukasa! Please show mercy!" the wife came running to her step daughter and blocked the front of her from her husband's view. "How long will you keep disappointing this family with your careless acts!?" the husband said loudly but the daughter kept her head low and did not change her stature after being slapped. "Yukasa please. Let me handle this, go on inside." The Wife carefully touched her husband's arm and she was shoved back. "Be glad that were out in public just wait until we get home." The husband turned his back and left the scene heading inside the tea house. The daughter slowly shifted her head staring daggers at his father's back but then her step mother came to view. "Are you alright? Where does it hurt?" Just as the step mother was about to touch her cheek she slaps her hand away. "Just give hand me the stupid kimono." she yanked the bag in her step mother's hand and walked pass her.
Soon the two ladies entered the tea house. The stepmother was walking behind the daugther who now wore a light purple kimono with her hair tied to a clean bun showing her graceful jawline. The people inside the tea house could not help but glance their way, the step mother smiles knowing that it was because of Xayah's beauty. Xayah was the daughter of the first wife, Alana, who was a foreigner living in Japan.
In the past, Yukasa met Alana being neighbors. They started dating each other and Yukasa fell deeply in love to the point that he kept persuading his grandparents to accept Alana for him to marry but was refused countless of times because Alana was foreign.
The couple resulted to an idea of having Alana pregnant and bearing a son that would increase her chances of being accepted in family. Sadly, Alana fell ill during her first pregnancy, gave birth to a daugther who resembled her and soon died of illness during her recovery. Seeing the features of Yukasa's dead lover on her daughter made the man hate his child. Blaming the latter for killing his supposed to be wife.
Hima, the present wife witnessed all the harsh things Xayah had to endure from the elders of the family because she was made out of wedlock and her father's contribution to her trauma.
But Xayah was a patient girl that fought her own demons quietly. Her uncle Yuu, Yukasa's older brother was very fond of Xayah because of the her kind nature and soft persona despite all the rudeness given to her. Yuu is the one who pampers her and gifts her with so many material things. One of the expensive things she received from him is that big bike of hers.
But as Xayah was becoming a young adult she was becoming more rebellious or too expressive of her opinions. "Xayah." The step mother called out softly.
Xayah side eyed her step mother and found her pointing at her lips signaling her to smile. Xayah does not like Hima, she finds her submissive attitude repulsive. Xayah smiled at a sarcastic way then back to becoming blank when she turned to her path.
"Ah! There they are! This is my lovely wife, Hima and my daughter, Xayah. Have a seat my loves." Yukasa wore this approachable aura that gave Xayah goosebumps seeing how he could put such a mask on. Yukasa patted the flat pillow next to him as he eyed Xayah. He was inside this fancy private room with six guards by the door. Xayah read his father's signal but she eyed the two old couple on the other side of the table. Her eyes widened. Their giving me away to the Sukuna Clan? The longer Xayah contemplated the situation by staring, the more displeased the Sukuna elders felt. "is that how you treat your elders in your household?" Old Mrs. Ryomen called out with an eyebrow raised. Yukasa noticed the hint of displeasure in the old woman's voice and quickly pulled Xayah down by the arm causing her to drop her knees on the flat pillow. "Xayah gets easily star strucked seeing such a prestige family up close." Yukasa forcefully bowed her daughter down by holding her on the back of the neck. Although Hima doesn't appreciate her husband's roughness with Xayah, she had no voice in the matter. She was told to not mendle with Yukasa and Xayah's relationship because she want her biological mother. Hima let's out a quiet sigh and bowed herself before having to sit down on Xayah's left. "Well I don't blame you, we rarely go out in public and we assume that you as well don't admire the public eye?" Old Mrs. Ryomen asked as she flicks her hand opening a fan and started fanning herself. "Yes indeed, We remain a low profile as well. Being in the public eye creates lots of tension between families and business." Yukasa answered his eyes could barely be seen in his smile. Bringing up the family and business, Old Mrs. Ryomen smirks as she took this opportunity to harass. "Speaking of family business, I remember the Hayashida's rejecting my husband's prosposal for a collaboration, long before. What is your take on this? I mean that was a very long time but isn't that rude? and now you plan to marry your daugther to us?" Yukasa was surpsrided by old woman's words. She was nicer earlier when his family wasn't there, now she felt like grilling him. Yukasa wasn't exactly the head of the rice wine company, his older brother was. If it was up to him he would have collaborated with prestige families but his brother Yuu was keen on keeping reputations clean and doing business legally. "is that so? I'm only learning about this now." "Really? Oh what a shame. Aren't you the one in charge of the Hayashida rice wine production in present time?" The old woman asked sounding sarcastic. Purposely acting like she doesn't know a thing or two. Yukasa trying to keep his mask on but felt annoyed. I'm sure they've done their research before coming here. It was quite obvious that old Mrs. Sukuna was pushing some buttons. "is that the feeling I give off? My my, I am only the third sibling of my family. My eldest brother Yuu is the one who holds the company, I do the advertising and the design." Yukasa chuckles. "Oh how embarrassing! I thought you were the head, we got our hopes high for a second there." The old woman laughs behind her hand fan. Her old husband though forgot about the insults he planned to throw at them and left staring at the daughter's beauty. Old Mr. Sukuna was trying to figure what part of the daughter's face made her look unique and exotic. While his eyes observed around her face he noticed how un even the redness of her blush was on her left cheek.
"Now that we're clear about where we stand, what is there to offer? You're just a minion of your brother if I'm not mistaken so, what good could your daughter do for us?" The old woman started to notice her husband's silence since she was taking over the conversations. She took a quick glance at her husband who was starring at the daugther in front of her. Seeing how his husband was in awe stirred some jealousy into her gut. Yukasa gulps down quietly from the question and glances at his daughter who had her eyes down, doesn't seem to want to be involved in the arrangement. Noticing that his daughter couldn't exert any effort into her own worth, he felt annoyed and gave his wife Hima, a glare. Hima quickly caught into his eyes, it usually means his giving her permission to fix the situation. Hima gently lifted her head which caught the old couple's attention since she was just quiet and hanging her head low.
Hima glances at Xayah and had recalled the daughters history through her eyes. "I find Xayah to be as a very patient person, she endures hardships very well and is able to find a bright side in evil." Xayah's eyebrows furrowed and shifted her head to face her step mother. "You may think that she's only a pretty face but she's accomplished so much for herself without even receiving any wealth from the elders. Xayah has her own business in the motorbike industry. She makes custom designs for different kinds of motorbikes and post them on a social media platform that has a million audience but she excludes her face from being in the photos."
Xayah's mouth slightly gaped open. She doesn't recall anyone showing interest in her work except her uncle Yuu.
"Her solo business is providing her well and it is still actively taking in national or even international clients. She owns five motorbike studios I think, right?" The stepmother softly glances at her step daugther. Xayah was still confused by how much Hima knows yet nodded towards her. "She inherits her father's great talent in art. She applies it through designing motorbikes."
Silence fell in the room. Yukasa was impressed by his wife's words since he barely knew anything about his daughter's business while Xayah couldn't believe that Hima was helping her get married.
"A girl in a Motorbike industry? That's very boyish for our liking, right hun?" The old woman breaks the silence glanced at her un responsive husband. She then carefully placed the tip of her fan under the daughters chin. She lifts Xayah's face up and observed her features. Yukasa and Hima was surprised by the old woman's actions. "She didn't do anything to her face? had some features fixed?" Hima shook her head. "Not that I know of, She's a natural." "How come she doesn't look like you?" The old woman snarkily questioned and shifted her eyes to Hima. Old Mr. Sukuna was in deep thought. A woman in a motorbike industry does sound less feminine but her features doesn't show that she is part of a rough business. Her skin is not as white as now. Her hooded eyes gives off an unapproachable look. When she looks up they appear submissive as if she was masking herself with innocence but as my wife started to insult her father...her eyes shifted to an obvious anger. Being in the mafia industry for so long doesn't disappoint. The old man could tell if someone was raised properly or lived in an abusive household. Judging by how red her left cheek was, the mother must have tried to cover up a possible scratch but since it looked swollen, she could have been slapped just recently. Hima lowered her eyes at the old woman's question. "She is from the first wife." The old woman gasped and pushed herself back on the seat. "a divorcee!? That's a curse!"
Yukasa felt surge of panic as it is considered to be a curse when a son is divorced so he quickly cleared himself. "Y-you are mistaken! My first wife died giving birth to my beautiful...daughter. Hima is my second wife." The old woman stared at the man then at the woman he called the second wife. "That's tragic to hear. How many kids have you bared my darling?" "Two young teenage girls and an infant boy." "So that means the Hayashida's are more likely to bare female babies?" The older woman questions with a bit of disgust in her voice. Xayah's eyebrows knotted. Why must gender production be questioned here? Of course their trying to create an empire but why can't women be at much demand than men? since we're the one producing them and not themselves. "I beg to differ, all of my siblings are male and the number of male children in the family outnumbers the females. Also, Xayah together with her mother's genes is able to bare more than one baby at a time." Yukasa answers proudly taking a sip of the tea in his hand. Xayah had just found out about that fact and stared at her father surprised. What the fuck. Am I being given away as a wife or a breeder? I'm no fucking dog. Her father pulls out an envelope from under the table and slid it towards the older couple. Old Mrs. Sukuna was the first to reach it and opened the folder taking out pictures of the first wife's family. She carefully looked through the pictures one at a time then place them down on the table. Xayah was trying to contain herself from lunging on the photos. She thought her father removed all the traces that points to her mother's existence in their home. It turns out that he had been keeping them from her. Yukasa was trying to out smart his daugther. If Xayah finds out about Alana's family she could have thoughts about running away from his household so her father kept every information hidden from her and treated her badly so that she would be distant with him yet rely on him.
Xayah was Yukasa's pride. His ticket to build his own fortune. He allowed Yuu to spend thousands of won on pampering his daugther so he doesn't waste his own money. Yukasa also plans to outweigh his older brother's achievement by siding with the Sukuna family. Yukasa knew how Yuu disliked the Sukunas. He hated the violence that the family brings to the industry, the corruption with fellow business men and dirty, shady deals they propose to him but Yukasa was a desperate motherfucker wanting to prove his pride to his family. Meanwhile the old couple on the other side of the table were lokwey impressed. The Sukuna family focuses on their blood line's long existnece, the money is just a bonus for them. Hearing that Xayah was capable of producing twins or more and mostly male babies could create a bigger generation for them.
"You'll be receiving an email from our assistant if we wish to continue with your daugther." The old woman smiled small as she pushed back the photos and papers to Yukasa. Yukasa faintly smiled, confident that his daugther passed the screening but he was quickly reminded by how late she arrived earlier and how she couldn't exert effort in the conversation. This negative thought suddenly angered him causing him to glare at Xayah. Old Mr. Sukuna saw how Yukasa was glaring at his own daugther. It is possible that Yukasa was the culprit for her swollen cheek, the old man felt bad for the daughter if that was her case.
Old Mr. Sukuna seems to believe Hima's words about the Xayah and though he might be a ruthless boss but he has so much respect for women for they have the baring burden to create life and a home. The old man stood up from his seat and held out a hand for his wife to hold. "Thank you for this lovely meeting, it was pleasure meeting one of the Hayashida brothers. We hope to see you again soon, Xayah and...in a more, well condition." Xayah looked up surprised at the old man. She met his eyes and he mischievously winked at her. Yukasa and Hima also stood up and we're about to thank the old couple but were taken a back by the old man's words. Xayah carefully placed her hand on her left cheek and scoffed.
