I still remember going straight to our dorm to catch up MBB and WVB finals and cheer with my dormmates; singing and dancing UAAP school cheers whenever courtside reporters call each university during live games. Now, arenas are empty. Drumbeats are mere echoes in my heart. The channel I used to tune in for sports updates turned pitch black. Is it mandatory for adults to say na mag-asawa na once they see a lady glow up?

Women worked hard just to earn all the credits they deserve after themselves giving love and attention they deserve. You can't just summate it by simply saying they should find a man to make them more valuable. Becoming a wife and bearing children are not the sole purpose why women exist. We're here to inspire, empower and help each other become more confident to maximize their potentials. With what's happening in the world nowadays, there are more things we need to prioritize like becoming successful in our fields or making ends meet for our families.

Patriarchy is SO outdated. Let women take all the chances they get to also lead others. They can't be limited to just being a wife-material.

When I read, "Go with the flow," I thought that it would be for another person I did the spread for. But, guess what, now I realized that it's for me. That thought was for me. I have been trying to be a high tree with big and strong trunk, trying to get through every storm I encounter when in fact, what I need to be was to be a bamboo -- thin, resilient and goes with the gushing of the wind.

I should not let my thoughts surge my emotions. I should let go and try not to stand my ground when I know I cannot avoid inevitable situations.

I've always had a strong heart but this time, I cannot stand what I have been going through. My physical heart is tired, so is my soul.

I need renewal. I need a fresh start. This is just a phase and it will end. I will end it, cutting off all inhibitions and old ties that doesn't serve me for my greater good. I, alone, can heal myself. This is my reality.

Eye Opener

It is easier for our generation to say that Philippines do not deserve the democracy that millions of people fought for. Yes, martial law have its own ups and downs and it depends on what perspective of the regime we grew up with. This is an eye opener for the youth.

I am really hoping for a better country at this point in time where everything is crucial and seemed to be lacking in substance.

Let's step up by becoming intelligent voters because in the future, it will not be all about those personalities who are seen all over. It is us who are the movers and shakers of this society.
