a raincoat, a trenchcoat -- a MacIntosh -- made by Burberry, UK high-end clothing creators...they have a plaid that they use that is their "brand" and unique to them...the raincoats are usually double-breasted, with inside and outside pockets, removable linings, and stylistic things like a "flap" (for use of a better word) that is over one shoulder in the front, reportedly as an extra protection layer and to take the "kick" should you be firing a rifle with the rifle butt on that shoulder...look at any old UK movie (ie WWI or II) , and trench coats with tied (not belted) belts is generally the "look"....looked at Burberry site, coats currently in region of £2000+/-.....
“The King’s suits, of which he has sixty, cost upwards of £5,000 each, while his shirts, all hand-made, cost £1,000 and he has more than 200, while his collar stiffeners are solid gold. His collection of ties, regimental, club and personal, runs to over 500.”
And said suits and shirts reworn upwards of 40 years work out at costing how much?
60 suits is roughly akin to one worn per week.
Good on the King to frequent Saville Row in my opinion.
P-A 🇬🇧
PS: I don’t agree with delayed bill paying at all but bills are paid and I assume hairdressers too 😉
Hi P-A 🇬🇧 Nice to see you here again on this sunny but crisp Yorkshire Afternoon.
The Royal Family can do what they like with their own personal money as far as I am concerned. I know if I had their money I would invest in the best tailored pieces available and yes rewear them just like the King and Princess Anne!
I have a habit of doing that with my favourite clothes and if people mind me wearing them frequently that's their problem not mine. Some of my pieces are ancient and I still love and wear them when I can. An example being a wonderful Burberry Mac which I wear so much I will probably be buried in it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
As I often say I post articles which I may or may not agree with - I post them to show people what is out there in the UK currently. If I do have an opinion on said articles I write it in the comments

April 24, 2024 it was announced by GB News and another source having to do with IG News that Mike Tindall has been invited to be an IG patron....Angela Levin has also reported something similarly....the idea is that Tindall would become a patron as a way of easing Harry out, the IG have become "too royal", and Tindall is related to royal family without actually being a royal himself...have not seen anything in general/major news reporting on this, so don't know how true this might be...
They are really pushing Invictus really hard. It’s almost like someone lit a fire under his ass and told him to get to work. Maybe all of those rumors about them ditching him motivated him to take care of the one thing he has left?
Its simply the 10th Anniversary and Nigeria joined just last year. That is all.
I hate to say he quote "created" the games its his unless Harry commits a felony or fraud I don't see a way of getting rid of him. He's not going to step aside unless he's and him not being as popular isn't going to cut when you think about it.

okay, my stupid--but practical-- question of the day: this looks all cozy and wonderful being out to sink into and being close to nature, but what about bugs getting amongst the linen? is this brought into the house every night to stay dry, and if not, then what about overnight rain and dew in the morning/evening getting this all wet and causing mold & mildew? love the look and the idea of it, just dont like the idea of bugs among the sheets/pillows, and everything turning black with mildew....can somebody enlighten me on how such a setting is actually managed? thanks...

she's dusting the boxes the "kids" are in and putting in fresh batteries...
Seriously. Does there have to be a "Will he or won't he?" drama EVERY SINGLE TIME he's supposed to go back to the UK? Dude, just show up or don't. No one cares either way.
Oh well, I guess it's pretty well established she's never going back. So we're supposed to believe she's hanging out with the kids while he's gone.
Yes making another rancid fruit product.

Skippy, sorry, but we'll have to agree to disagree...I cannot envision any situation in which William forgives Harry...after all, Harry painfully and deliberately hurt the three people in the world who William holds dearest: his grandmother, grandfather, and his wife. I can see William forgiving Harry for what he's done/said against himself (William), but NOT for causing the pain, confusion, and upsetment against the other three. Harry is TOXIC and DANGEROUS, plain and simple. Trying to whitewash these two facts would be a major mistake. In this case, any love between W&H has been killed by H&M, and that brotherly love has been repeatedly abused and damaged. And btw, where? how? what? brotherly love has Harry shown his "nemesis", William? Cut Harry loose, there is no advantage for William to keep him in his life, and it will be a lot safer for W&C if he is exiled outside the family.
Thinking of William he truly loved Harry but was betrayed in return. Will there ever be forgiveness? by u/RoohsMama

there was a story in news about 4 years ago, people watch/rewatch programs/movies they've already seen because they are familiar to them, they don't have to think or concentrate on storyline/action as they know what will happen; for a new tv show/movie, you have to pay attention & concentrate since it's all new to you; reruns/repeats can keep you company as you do other things, you KNOW how the show or movie will end...it's a "comfort of familiarity" thing--may be why depressed folk do this--info was per some psychologists/think tank folk...explains me having Harry Potter on for 200th time while I clean house...

don't forget Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Pitt dated for three years (1994-97) and even got engaged, but then the engagement was called off as GP later revealed that she was very young at the time...BP seems to always land up with top-class women somehow....
To drift away from the HCNV situation, I was thinking about this whole Jolie-Pitt mess. I am old enough to remember when he started to date Aniston, their wedding and the cheating-divorce of course. I said before I hate this girl bossy "karma is my boyfriend" bullshit, because this is not how it works but I kinda think what is happening with them and their relationships, divorce, and feud is both's karma for what they did to Aniston.
I also don't like either of them, because I believe Pitt was a drunk and he was very cold to Jen at the end of their marriage but I also believe Jolie is manipulating and purposefully destroys relationships. She did this too often and casually to feel any sympathy for her.
I am particularly interested in your opinion @scorpiotwentythree

they (Netflix) may also need to line up/source any commercial sponsors for advertising breaks (don't watch Netflix generally, so don't know if they're advertising-free)...they also have to create a marketing and advertising plan to publicise this boon to cooks everywhere cooking program...
Anon Submission
Good people on this non-Harkles side.
Is there anyone who can resolve this question?
If Megsy is recording a cooking show, which will finish recording on June 25 and is about her cooking in a fixed location, why would it take 6 months to air? There are people who record cooking shows weekly and put them on YouTube, and they definitely cook much more useful things than what Megsy will do. How badly does Megsy need the show for it to take 6 months to air? Come on, Netflix should air it in July, because Netflix releases a lot of things. Why wait 6 months to issue it?
Is Megsy trying to make a move when Kate has her Christmas event? Or could something else be going on behind the scenes?
I leave you with the doubt.
——
Do you know how many hours they will film daily? And then have to cut that down into a probably 22-24 Minute episode because dear god no one can take her for an hour.
Anyway it takes time to edit it etc that is why.

On his Companies House filing for Travelyst, he now lists the US as his place of residence...by law, to be a Counsellor of State, he MUST have a residence in the UK...he gave up Frogmore Cottage a year +/- ago, so he has no permanent place of residence in the UK but stays in hotels if/when in the UK...he could always buy another house in the UK although that would be a waste for all the time he is actually here
Prince Henry Charles David Duke of Sussex - is this his proper name? Why no Mountbatten Windsor? by u/Von_und_zu_
‘Prince Henry Charles David Duke of Sussex’ - is this his proper name? Why no Mountbatten Windsor? Here is Harold's Companies House filing for his travel co. This reminds me of the odd looking names he chose to use on the birth certificates for the putative children. Is this some prententiousness or is this actually a proper form and usage of his name? The Duke of Westminster is Hugh Grovesnor. Why is not Harold blah blah blah Mountbatten Windsor?Note the effective date of the change of his country of residence. June 29, 2023. I've read elsewhere that this is the date on which BP announced the overseas couple were officially out of Frogmore.I wonder how, if at all, this effects the Counselor of State situation?https://ift.tt/x7QebIY post link: https://ift.tt/k9q0UTz author: Von_und_zu_ submitted: April 17, 2024 at 07:22PM via SaintMeghanMarkle on Reddit disclaimer: all views + opinions expressed by the author of this post, as well as any comments and reblogs, are solely the author's own; they do not necessarily reflect the views of the administrator of this Tumblr blog. so he can no longer be a COS as he's on record that his main domicile is the US and that's not allowed, he just got the news that he'll have to pay a close-to £1million legal bill for losing a hacking suit against a newspaper group and next up will be the judge reviewing his US visa application to see if he lied about drug use on the application...God knows what else is coming down the pike for him, Markle has a new audience laughing at her for her strawberry jam gifts, and karma seems to FINALLY be sending them some long-overdue retribution
Harry FINALLY cut ties with Britain: Exiled prince lists US as primary residence for first time - amid deportation fears over past drug use
By RICHARD EDEN
PUBLISHED: 17:00, 17 April 2024 | UPDATED: 19:37, 17 April 2024
Soon after announcing his and Meghan's decision to quit royal duties in 2020, the Duke of Sussex declared at a charity event: 'The UK is my home and a place that I love. That will never change.'
Four years later, much, it seems, has changed.
The Daily Mail can disclose that Prince Harry has updated his records in this country to make clear that he no longer lives in Britain.
Filings published by Companies House today for 'Prince Henry Charles Albert David Duke of Sussex' record that his 'New Country/State Usually Resident' is now the USA. It was previously recorded as the United Kingdom.
The change comes as pressure increases on US President Joe Biden's government to release Harry's visa records after campaigners seized on comments made by the American ambassador to London that he would not be deported while the Democrat was president.
Prince Harry, pictured with Meghan Markle at a polo event in Florida on April 12, has listed the US as his primary residence for the first time.
The Sussexes' mansion is worth $14 million (£11m) and has six bedrooms and seven bathrooms
Tumblr media
The publicly-viewable document that shows Prince Harry is now based in the United States
The conservative Heritage Foundation think tank in Washington DC, which has gone to court to seek the release of the file, has submitted the remarks made by Jane Hartley as part of its case.
The new details, filed at Companies House for Harry's eco travel venture Travalyst, also raise serious questions about whether he can remain as a Counsellor of State, one of seven members of the Royal Family who can deputise for the Monarch if he is abroad or unwell.
By law, Counsellors of State are required to have a UK domicile, but Harry has no home here after King Charles asked the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to vacate Frogmore Cottage, a gift from the late Queen Elizabeth.
Dr Craig Prescott, an expert on constitutional law, said last year: 'We are really in uncharted waters here: the Prince Harry situation is not something the law easily allows for.
'The idea of the second son of the King choosing a life away from royal duties is not something the law has thought about, and I can imagine that Buckingham Palace would be concerned by that.
The King had the chance to remove him with the counsellor-of-state legislation last year, but chose not to.'
Until 2022, the Counsellors of State were Queen Camilla, Prince William, Harry, Prince Andrew and his elder daughter Princess Beatrice.
However, many considered this situation unsuitable as Harry, the Duke of York and Beatrice are not working royals.
Later that year, the King asked parliament to add his sister, Princess Anne, and youngest brother, Prince Edward, to the list.
It was reported that the King decided not to remove Harry and Andrew because he did not want to escalate family tensions and believed it was unlikely either would ever be required to deputise for him.
However, last year courtiers were keen to ensure that William returned to Britain from a solo trip to New York before the King and Queen departed for their state visit to France on the same day.
The situation has since become even more urgent because of the King's cancer treatment.
Harry challenged the decision by the Home Office to remove his right to automatic Metropolitan Police protection when he is in Britain, even though he has offered to pay for it himself.
After the decision was made, a legal representative for Harry has said he was 'unable to return to his home' with his family because it is too dangerous.
He has since lost the court case and potentially faces a bill of around £1million when his own legal costs are taken into account.
A judge rejected a bid to halve the amount he had to pay by saying the Duke of Sussex had 'comprehensively lost' his case.
Separately Sir Peter Lane also threw out the duke's application to appeal against the ruling, describing one section of it as 'frankly hopeless'.
The Heritage Foundation has been pushing the Department of Homeland Security to open its dossier on Harry under America's freedom of information laws.
After he admitted taking cocaine in his memoirs, Spare, he faced questions over how he had been able to move to the USA, where admitting drug use can block a visa application.

Markle will ONLY be getting paid money if they deliver usable, broadcastable footage that has been used to create coherent, and watchable, tv programs...the agreement was reported to be up to $XXX dollars IF they deliver the goods, if not, they get nothing..after four years they have delivered bugger all, two documentaries?, and even then Netflix had to provide a production team to pull it all together...figures floated about--from H&M--have touched on $80-$100million under the contract, but this has never been confirmed or denied by Netflix, Netflix would never have paid this upfront before anything is delivered to them, and anything paid to them will not exceed the contractual amount and could be sizeably less...all allegedly, based on previous published reports...
“Finally, the understanding is that the Sussexes and Netflix have a four-year deal. That deal expires this year. The cooking show and the polo thing are just last-ditch efforts to squeeze more money from Netflix.” I doubt it’s much considering their expenses and all the people there would have to pay. Damn they are broke!
Nope. I can't remember where I read it or what the exact figures are, but there was a scoop sometime last year that what the Sussexes were actually paid for the Netflix contract was ridiculously below the numbers that Meghan's PR was telling us they got.

been there, did the same....my "bread" was more like a doorstop, heavy and dense enough to be a murder weapon...make sure you're using yeast that is still active/alive, don't use years-old flour but fresh, and just keep practicing...and try different recipes, some may be easier and friendlier to follow than others...maybe start off with a "tea loaf" or carrot cake which are not breads, but have fruit/nuts in it and will give you a sense of success and confidence in your baking before you tackle bread....good luck!
