If anyone wants a starter, please like this post and I'll write one up. Or feel free to hop into my ask and ask to plot. Or send random questions I really don't mind, I'd love them.

Oh, she noticed that quick expression, despite how flitting and momentary it had been. After all, she was Annabeth, and she was the most observant of the social circle, hands down. She didn't exactly like how the other surpressed his emotions most of the time, as if he were the one fencing his own self in, but she couldn't exactly tell others how to lead their lives, either. Not to mention she knew a thing or two about apperances.
"Nothing!" She huffed, recalling the moment. "I wouldn't aggravate them on purpose-- unless they pranked us first, that is. I just happened to have my nose in a book and walked directly in the middle of a duel." She hated admitting her stupidity, but making it clear it had been an accident than her fault seemed better.

He could have laughed at that — could have, almost did, but didn’t. The corners of his lips might have tugged up only slightly, but the d Angelo was quick to replace any sign of amusement with an expression more akin to his usual one: naturally bored, somewhat interested, but also not completely in the moment, if that makes any sense. “What did you do to get on their bad side?”

Life had been hectic for Annabeth upon her return to Camp Half-Blood. Well, it was the moment she actually realized it were so-- she hadn't noticed the signs of how complicated her life would get back then. She thought she would've reached the peak when she was seven, also known as the time she ventured out her home-- though really, how could it even be called a home when the supposedly foreign world seemed to be a better choice? Most children only dreamed of running away, but deep down they knew they lacked the survival skills, would feel aching homesickness, so they stayed and simply bragged about false futures. And maybe it was her pride that encouraged her to continue on her dangerous journey-- a part of her doubted her chances, and the rest hated that weakness. So they sought to destroy it.
But she was mistaken. Since going on her first quest with Percy, it seemed that it was the start of a downward slope. Every time peace seemed to be achieved, it simply meant another adventure was waiting at the sidelines. The triumphs were momentary, and initially it had been rather fun to embark on these life-saving missions, but sometimes she just wanted things to slow down a bit for the capacity to breathe. It never seemed to stop, she wanted to take a break and attend college without needing to worry about the fate of the world being in her hands. Or do normal things like a normal girl-- compared to others, she had been reasonably accepting of her life as a demigod. She found ways to work around it, but it seemed like her determination force was slowing and coming to a near stop. So she had left. At least, for a few hours. The enchanted weather in camp was getting on her nerves, the happy chatter of the campers droning in her ears, causing a headache. The Seven-- including Nico and Reyna-- were there too, in Cabin Three being their normal selves. Annabeth loved them, she really did, but sometimes she felt so alone. It sounded stupid, of course, and she hated herself for sounding so needy, but it got stifling at times and she just wanted to walk away from it all. She had excused herself, half-hoping and half-not that someone would follow her. They didn't. She had planned on sitting in the forest outside the boundary and enjoy the snow. Fresh air always seemed to be in abundance during the winter, and despite the gloom death brought, the bare branches seemed to be more of a friend than something gone. It was a change from the green, overflowing branches and sweet-smelling grass inside the border, and sometimes she enjoyed change. She hadn't expected to see a boy who looked like he himself was nearing the sad fate of nature's, though. A gasp was torn from her lips, one look and she could tell a monster had clawed him. It was odd, though, since they rarely attacked the humans. It was the tasty demigods that suited their appetite. Logic told her to get help, she was no healer after all, nor had she enough strength to tow him in, but by then she feared it might be too late. How long had he been here? Not to mention if she went in, who is to say action would be taken? He was a mortal, he could not be dragged in for the Apollo cabin to tend to him, or consume the food of the gods. The best they could do was call for an ambulance, but it was a rather remote part of Long Island they were on. In utter discord, Annabeth dropped to her knees beside him and yanked off her glove, pressing two fingers lightly against his pulse point. "Still alive," she murmured to assure herself, though it was getting dangerously faint. She gnawed on her bottom lip, before deciding to risk it and pull him into camp. It was a better alternative to a useless hospital, or the dangerous ambrosia. She placed both hands on his forearms and started dragging him back, thanking the gods he had enough sense to pass out extremely close to the border. Just before the separation, she announced, "I, Annabeth Chase, give you permission to enter camp!"

[ ✢ ] unfortunate events
                                             [ had he listen to his uncle                                                 catastrophe wouldn’t                                                 h a p p e n ——————— ]
No, the banished prince had to go around, hunting the avatar mainly on his own when the whole crew of his was taking a break in the Earth Kingdom, his uncle resting in the hot ‘tub’ of water, relaxing, while the others were nursing themselves, some were asleep, some were cooking things for everyone. But Zuko, he was determined to get back his position, which had driven him to go searching for the avatar alone, in the dark, without his guards on his side when his uncle had warned him not to wander off alone. There are many d a n g e r o u s things in the dark.
                                              { u n k n o w n }
Snapping his fingers together to produce fire, the prince walked quietly in the woods, hoping he’d find traces of the person he had been chasing for three good years. There had to be something. A hint of some sort— it gave him hope, more than anything. His ears perched as he heard footsteps approaching, no lights, no shadows. Perhaps, it might have been a rodent (or so he hoped).
To his greatest surprise, he turned back to face a boar, bigger than anything he had ever laid his eyes upon.
                                                   Run.                                                                     Run, boy.                                                                                                RUN.
And so he ran, not thinking about anything else anymore. Surely, the boy is oblivious to many things, but one thing he knew, he couldn’t overpower this boar, not even with his firebending ability. Within a split second, he fell on the ground, tripped on something. Breathing heavily, he closed his eyes, wincing at the injuries that had been caused by the animal. All he could do was play dead.
As the sun began to rise, he staggered feebly towards the camp they had set; but luck wasn’t on his side— he walked even farther away from his little crew and his uncle. Though, the injuries were getting the best of him, making him collapse in front of a tree wrapped with a golden ‘cloak’ of some sort. His breathing wasn’t steadily, only weak pants as he struggled to keep his eyes open.

She frowns slightly, just a tad irritated. After all, she was all about action, always deliberate. "Then you'll just be roasting alive in your cabin when others can fix the problem." She held a lock of dark hair in her fingertips, wincing slightly. "It's Annabeth. The Hecate cabin jinxed me."

”—I don’t like letting other people into my space.” He shrugged, giving her a curious look. “Do I know you? I recognize your voice, but — not your face.”

She winced at the choice of weapon-- there went a perfectly nice book-- but she appreciated the sacrifice, nevertheless. Quickly, she scrambled away from where the book lay and got up, dusting the specks of dirt on her jeans. "Thanks, Belle." She sighed, turning to look at her youngest half-sibling. "I'll get you a new copy soon. And don't call me 'Beth', I've told you a million times."

WHAM!  Belle had thrown A Feast for Crows at the beast. “That’s all you get from me, Beth!” It had taken a lot, throwing her book at the thing like that. (Besides, Annabeth wasn’t the only one with a hellish phobia like that. The spiders had bitten Belle too when she still lived home, she’d wake up with cobwebs all over her. Ew.)

To be perfectly fair, she didn't usually speak to strangers. Typical New York move-- you went your way, don't bother anyone else. Lives were usually led in fast-paced motion, after all, no one had a second to spare for an irrelevant stranger. But she had gotten into an argument earlier on, leading to her breaking into the emergency stash of alcohol she stored. She was pretty much a lightweight, one glass got her tipsy enough to let her guard down. "Yeah, the place where you choose a skin you like? Stuff cotton into it and dress it up?" She raised a brow, words slurred in the slightest. "Did you not dream of it as a child?"
Tumblr media
[ was the stranger talking to him? ]
A brow arched slightly as he turned towards her with a slightly puzzled look written across his face. Though, to simply ignore the girl would of been rude, considering there was no one else around them— so chances are she was talking to him.

She jumped slightly at the voice, whirling around to regard the admittedly intimidating looking male. She had to tip her head up to see him, which annoyed her in the slightest-- she despised lacking the advantage of height. Squaring her shoulders back, she said, "I was taking a walk around, and my charm broke. I thought going to the Hephae-- Vulcan place of residence could help with that." Her light, hazel eyes, previously a stunning grey trailed behind to see the large tool. "I think I got the right place. I'm Annabeth."
