What I don’t get about the speculation regarding Catherine is, I don’t recall this for any other royal or celebrity. If Taylor Swift announced she had cancer and requested privacy, I’d bet money her fans would leave her alone because she asked them to. I’m not saying Swifties are in any way behind the Catherine speculation, just that they’d respect her wishes so why can’t some of Catherine’s fans respect hers? She’ll be back, just give her time.

It's a bit more complicated than that, yet at the same time, simpler. Here, we must include the "rage and hatred" towards archaic institutions like the monarchy and everything that happened with the Delinquentes, especially the wife. There's also the fact that many people on the internet have a certain issue with the fact that Catherine has never complained about anything. This last point clashes with the prevailing faux-feminist sentiment online, which often criticises and attacks women who do not conform to the narrow, sometimes misguided, definitions of feminism that these critics have constructed. So, in essence, the backlash against Catherine is not merely about her as an individual but is entangled with what she represents too. And also, people on the internet are idiots.

This curse word stems from the verb quatschen, which means “to chat.” It’s one of the most commonly used terms when expressing disbelief or anger. Despite there not being a literal equivalent in English, in essence it means “Nonsense!” or “Bullcrap!” It’s the perfect word to vocalize when you don’t believe something someone is saying, for example Quatsch! Nichts von dem, was du sagst, ist wahr, which means “Nonsense! None of what you’re saying is true.” Another stronger variation would be Blödsinn, which means “bullshit.”
