(kabru talking about the touden party) "sounds like he's just a hater"
(kabru mentions falin to shiro) "so he hates the toudens?" (me vaguely shaking my head) "he loves falin?..and falin- no marcille is in love her" (i ask her abt that observation) "well I could tell marcille's in love with her, she's kinda weird"
I've been binging the Dungeon Meshi manga for the last two days and I love all of these weirdos, but I really really love Marcille. Something about her just shoots me straight in the heart! I love her. I love her. She's a bi disaster and anxiety ridden perfectionist who tries SO hard, she's a hater, she's a lover, she doesn't know how to deal with mortality and will fistfight the universe about it, she's scared, she's so brave, she's covered in blood and she'll be covered in blood again. I want to give her forehead kisses and therapy.
That's why the lion is here. Because the demon is infinite, and even if she was only part of it for a moment, they are still connected.
Though, maybe she leaves that behind when she chooses to come back the final time. It does seem fitting, given the way things have changed for the demon, and given the question it asks her. Maybe she had the chance to hold on to eternity, in death.
And she left it behind. To go eat well and be loved, if only for a little while.
I like to imagine Marcille deals with her grief of outliving Falin (her wife) and Laois (her platonic soulmate) by looking for new friends that are just as weird/obsessive as the Touden siblings. Through this process of finding generations of weirdos she starts to notice genetic patterns and similarities to the point that she "discovers" autism. She names it Touden syndrome though.
having sex with your friends is so very normal please stop poisoning the youths minds with shame surrounding hooking up with your friends. especially if you’re gay
