being a godzilla fan is rough because there's always that one random kaiju that's your absolute favorite but they haven't appeared in a film in like 30+ years or so

#and then there’s Mothra #who shows up frequently but gets absolutely disrespected by both the films and the fanon #*gestures at KOTM #GXK #and cougar mcdowell*#that gal is NOT your waifu #she is mother. not for fucking #and also either she should be platonic with Goji or enemies #or enemies to friends. she has a life outside of Goji too #there are great ways to do Mothzilla but they are few and far between #Mothollante meanwhile has all/most of the benefits and few of the drawbacks. plus the additional benefit known as yuri #wow that got off track #anyway yeah #I like rose gator and funny glider dirt cat fairly well myself #I like spiky boi too #and titanosaurus #godzilla #kaiju #ALSO the disrespect when Bio and Titano in comics and videogames get boiled down to generic villainous kaiju

There’s that post that’s like ‘everyone should get into a tiny niche fandom at least once’ fully agree, that was really fun -- but I would like to add that everyone should get into a fandom where their opinions run counter to major fanon because it really teaches you about sticking to your guns and trusting your interpretation of the text without having to rely on peer validation
