Backstory: Scratch was born to the Deer Queen and her husband and they tried to hide the queen’s deer heritage for him and his older brother, Abejorro. When he was five, Scratch started working for The National. His boss, Missy, was caring for him, and told him about his family. At the age of thirteen, Scratch was defeated in battle and was sent to a young offenders prison, he escaped with the help of a young boy who he never saw again. Three years later, he was kidnapped by villains looking for Missy and ended up being sold to a cult. He never got out of the cult until he was 22, and ended up joining Operation Z and the Deer Army. Who did he meet in both? The boy who saved him. Oceana.

Backstory: Samuel was born to two unknown parents who left him on his uncle’s doorstep as a baby. His uncle was only just dealing with Sam’s aunt dying, and looked after Samuel with so much care. Samuel was trained to work in a lab before a villain attack took his two baby stepcousins away, and he ran away, and the villains looked after him and trained Sam to fight for villainy. Sam never really wanted to do Villainy so ran away and hid under the radar for a while, until his uncle found him again and offered him a space in the vigilante group (which I have now named Operation Z) and he took the offer.

Backstory: William was born in Scotland and was raised as a lab assistant to his dad. A villain attack killed his mother and the villains took his older sister when he was two. His dad remarried and had four other children, two of which were taken away by villains when William was seven. From that day, William trained to be a hero as well as a lab assistant, transitioned to a man at thirteen, and joined P.E.A.C.E when he was seventeen. He most recently left and joined his dad’s vigilante group with his younger brother Artemis, and cousin Oceana.

Dark Phantom: I WILL NEVER LOVE AGAIN!!! *proceeds to hug Flug and cry before blowing his nose on Flug's shirt, much to Flug's disgust*
Ghoul: Thanks for trying Doctor. I'll take it from here. *Ghoul proceeds to put a wailing Dark Phantom's arm around his shoulder and bring him back home to Noctis*
(At least now Dark Phantom's dad will not get angry at his son for blowing off his inheritance money trying to woo Demencia, but will instead focus on all of anger at his son for blowing off his inheritance money trying to defeat Vanity Bolt.)

In my opinion it's one of the greatest non qualifiers ever. It's such a unique soulful song with huge and incredibly emotion moments and such a touching meaning. It's such a powerful song and the fact that it nqued was literally tragic. May or may not have cried for over an hour maaaaybe 2.
Ok so the song is just GOOD! I can't get it out of my head i want to scream AIJĀ all the time. It was definitely a slow burn for me and i feel that's the case for many others! That's why it didn't qualify, people didn't let it COOK! When i first heard it (with the music video) I was like "Cool! That's decent and the video bangs!" But it didn't immediately go to my top for this year. But now it's definitely up there! Can't get it out of my head.
It's a very beautiful song with an interesting rythm. It had the bad luck of being in the highly competitive first semifinal, and thus narrowly missed out on qualifying for the final.
Samo Mi Se Spava:
I don't think it's my first place bias saying that this really is SUCH a creative and unique Eurovision entry. It's something new and so incredibly effective. Everything was pulled off to the complete best degree it could be and it was frankly perfect. SUCH a strong performance of such a strong song. I understand that some people don't like songs unless they have a pop belt vocal but I just think everything about smss is perfect. I genuinely cannot believe it placed bottom 5.
