Commissions for Medical Bills
Hey! I know I’ve all but dropped off the face of the earth lately. I’ve been very sick and bouncing every day between different specialists and having tests done. I’ve been on medical leave from work and racking up a lot of medical bills, which isn’t a great combination.
My partners are trying to help me out, so we’re offering crochet and art commissions, as well as stickers, magnets, and pins to help raise some money for these bills. The crochet one makes a wide variety of things, they can even make Pokémon (I have a Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Espeon, and Jiggly Puff from them) and various other animals. One of their other specialties is a line of varying pride flag themed bees. The other one is a digital artist and has a tier list of prices depending on what you’re looking for

That's... part of the Team's code. It's what started the Operation Starfall defense rolling, even if they did fail in that particular endeavor. A slight against one Boss is a slight against all - regardless of if said slight is a single insult to, well... Damaging their most sentimental item.
He kneels down next to Ortega, taking one of his friend's hands between his two gloved ones. He's here. He's not going anywhere, not while he had a friend in need of company and a vehicle in need of cleaning. That's part of their code, the oath that predates Star, hastily made in a locked bathroom stall beside bloodied tissues and stolen first aid supplies.
❝ I'm here, Tega. As are our bases, our fellow Bosses, and Lady Penny. You need only share with us your instructions, and we will gladly assist in the Starmobile's fixing. ❞

Atticus could creep up silently, if he so chose. He's made it this far without making a sound.
Perhaps, if it were anyone else, he would. But he always gives Ortega warning of his approach. Always gives his first friend that chance to choose his pride above his need for sympathy, to let them both pretend that he's not obviously upset.
When no rejection comes, he moves closer, tracing gentle fingertips across the tags that definitely weren't there before. (Atticus would know. He's spent more than enough nights watching Ortega work on these Starmobiles to memorise every detail of the cars, inside and out.)
Oh dear.

the tent was left closed, a signal to the ruchbah grunts to stay away . revavroom and the fairy starmobile had been shoved inside and not seen the light of day since . though ortega made no attempt to block the ninja from entering, from approaching .
the smaller boy sinks to his knees, then sits right there on the ground next to his prized possession . his crown jewel, the RESULT of his trials and hard work .
... ortega sniffles .
" ... i - " a choke . " i h - have to - i have to fix it . " he didn't try to get up . it felt like there was no strength left in his body .
finally, ortega lifts his head and makes eye contact with his dearest friend . pink eyes well up . " atticus ... " an indirect plead . i need you .

by the way, for those of you who think I'm talking out my ass about saturn knowing cyrus' hypocrisy and willingly fooling himself into remaining loyal regardless:
Our leader, Master Cyrus, hated the very idea of spirit. He hated spirit for being incomplete. And yet, using fiery exhortations, he rallied the spirit of others. What he hated most, he used to control others. Isn't that ironic?
But it's over. A world without spirit... Who would want such a thing?!
His confident manner of speaking... His logical words... I think people just became so enthralled by him. I allowed myself to believe his words because I wanted to see the world he intended to make.
But... This loyalty we feel for him... Is that something he finds worthless, too?

byron's not a great father, but he tried his best and just never really learned to communicate. the older roark got, the harder it became to show his love and pride, and so he only really felt like he had the "tough love" approach left. he's incredibly proud of what roark's done and how difficult his gym is for challengers, but because he wasn't raised in a praise-heavy household he just never knew how to put that into words without sounding fake or condescending. it's more natural for him to push his son's potential further and try to get him to do more
as roark matured, their arguments became both more explosive and more common, and byron got more aware of the possibility that maybe their next fight would be the straw that breaks the numel's back. maybe the rift between them would finally grow too wide to fix
he is absent, yeah. he spends all his time in canalave and depends on his son to initiate all contact. that's not because he doesn't love and want to see roark, but because he's so worried of their relationship finally shattering for good. he can't bear the thought of losing his boy, so he's decided he'd prefer a distant, strained relationship than no relationship at all

He'd been bringing Ortega along on many of his recent fabric shipping trips, never expanding on what, exactly, his newest project was or why it needed so many shades of pink, but he was delighted to finally be able to reveal it.
Inside his offered present box was a full outfit clearly inspired by Hatterene, even including her signature hat shape. High quality, as was the norm with all of Atticus's creations, and skirting the school uniform rules without outright breaking them.
