Sometimes I feel like I'm missing out because my kinks aren't weirdly specific enough. The folks who get off on the most narrowly contrived scenarios always seem to be having the most fun.

why none of them got into The Good Place

so obsessed with the fact that every single person at this wedding was up to something absolutely unhinged. like we started off with aniq planning to propose at someone else’s wedding and i was like well that doesn’t seem like a good idea. and then it turns out that was actually easily the least insane plan that anyone had.

My headcanon of each Righteous Gemstones character's actual religious beliefs:

Eli - a genuine Christian as far as belief goes, but subconciously does not believe himself to have a direct line to God. His "line" was Amie-Leigh. Without her, he feels like he's lost that Devine connection.

Jesse - believes in Jesus and prays, but overall Christianity is more of a career and cultural identity to him

Judy - doesn't think much about Jesus beyond rituals and worship; it's her vehicle to stardom

Kelvin - probably the most sincere in his faith out of the Gemstone siblings, but is very very stupid about it. Also on-and-off Messiah complex.

Keefe - poster boy for "born-again" theology; he believes with his whole heart and sees Kelvin as something of a protestant Pope

Gideon - more a believer in humanitarianism than any higher power, but sees the church as a good way to be charitable to others

Martin - difficult to read; he seems dedicated to the church more as a business than a house of God, but he may justify some of his more underhanded actions with "It's for the Lord"

BJ - mostly converted for Judy's sake; I think he's still agnostic, but leaning more toward believing in a God than before he was with Judy.

Amber - a "you go to church because it's part of being a good person" type

Amie-Leigh - A true believer who was motivated by what she thought God wanted

Baby Billy - believes in a very, very, VERY myopic God who just happens to value him above everybody else

Keefe and Kelvin are the absolute ideal of "I believe in you more than anybody in the fucking world" on both sides but with absolutely zero braincells between them. They are so utterly devoted to one another they can't see a lick of fucking sense.
