FMP EVALUATION
The deconstruction aspect to get me to my final page i thought i showed and researched well and i feel i was happy with the final deconstruction to get me to my final page. i was really happy with my final illustrations as i felt they showed the dark nature of Hubert Selbys jr writing style using dark emotions and aesthetic. Furthermore i wanted to make sure it used and had a visual language of the effects of hallucinations which i defiantly felt i got. I feel my final pieces also showed the story aswell and had some visual interaction with the card set for the viewer. I wish i refined my final piece and looked more into the context of where i could of showed my final body of work and i wish i also refined it more for my target audience.

Poster inspiration I wanted to show something like this for my sequence for my poster were you have a aspect of story telling through a sequence. This one is very simple but mine I wanted to show my abstact movement and shape shifting with my type and also have the senteces link together to reaveal the pasage I have looked at.

Composition no 1book This was was a big inspiration for my card set. I wanted the idea for my card set to follow this were you had the original order of pages but also you had the chaos of the audience changing the order and relationship between the images and the order. I wanted the idea to have this because it looks well with the hubert Selby jr aspect were he uses abstract orders and placements were you can change and take words out to reveal new meanings. Also this type of chaos order links well to the unpredicatability of hallucinations

Radically simple exhibition. - Original post date 4th may. I wanted to look into examples of how I could possibly show my work so I looked at different exhibition examples and I like this layout of the merde section as I thought about showcasing my final posters and having the deconstruction methods on show. I wanted just a simple design something like this that is easy to read and just lets the work do the talking.

Original post date - 3rd March Another example of the kind of language and idea I had of creating different pieces that showed my deconstruction and storytelling through 1 piece of work

Deconstruction body of work. - original post date 3rd may. After the last tutorial we discussed instead of just doing just 1 final piece think about looking into creating a final body of work and I was looking at some ideas andvisyals online of deconstruction art and I was inspired by really the language and context you can break something like my book page and create a series of pieces behind to go along side it.

Saul bass. Psycho poster - original post date 28th April. After thinking about the card set idea I also thought about how I could possibly show the sequence of cards and I thought something like this would work well. I wanted something that was simple that simply made the illustrations stand out.

The chapman brothers. Goya Original post date 25th April This piece inspired me to think about how I could possibly show my illustations and the type. These set of postcards have the aspect of a story throughout and they are placed in the box at first in a certain Format and way. Furthermore the idea is for these is you can lay them all out next to each other and they tell a story through a sequence but you can have the aspect of taking one on its own and it still tells a story and shows the emotion the artists wanted when taken out of a sequence. I wanted to do a similar idea because of the aspect if having some sort of sequence set of the images with the type but also you can give the opportunity to the audience and viewer to bring a bit of chaos to it and create different word and image arangments linking the the aspect of the unpredicabilty factor but also how the writer would chop and add sudden changed words into the text.

Audra Hubbell - original post date 3rd may After I created my type I did some experiments of changing the scale and also making the sizeing of height and width more compact and I had the aspect where I had type that I felt could work and that has a good theme and style surrounding projected type and how the scaleing and closness would work well for the style of the one or two word sentences that I have looked at

Se7en film opening sequence. - original post date 2nd This was my main influence for type. I wanted to show a level of roughness but also like you could be staring at it and it look like you are zoneing through it and like it has traits of movement. I also like the way this one is used with a white light shape and I feel something like that would fit well the the feeling of the abstact nature as well.

Again taking the photos of the blown up type from the page that I scaned in . I felt I was getting a better feel for the type and this qas another example that I feel links to my project well in the sense of the type in parts has the altered - dark sense of handling and the style that I have been trying to work to buy also it has a level of horror and it makes you feel a certain type of fear that links well with the back images.

GRAHAM WOOD - original post date 27th April After creating some of the monoprints where I looked at type it just felt there was a disconection from the photographs and the type. I had the idea of creating the type aspect to go with my photo illustrations in the sense that I should create them the same way and handle them the same way as I did for creating the images. I was inspired by this piece of work that is showcasing Parkinson's disease and has a clear visual link and idenity from the way the image is processed and handled and the type in the way it has that quick raw looking feel and it again has that aspect of fear, also the way it feels like the type is on the wall in the room, so it has aspect that the type is kind of a dellusion and links with the image better and feels in the moment. So I wanted to next take photos of text and has that aspect of visual coherents like this piece.

Claire Parsons - original post date 20th April Type experiments. After showing my photos in the tutorial that we thought that the photos showed the harrowing nature of the refrigererator coming to life but it just need more clarity and to have some link with the text. The next idea was to have some aspect of type on the photos but keeping to the style and to the nature of them. So I was looking and I got inspired by this piece of work. First because the subject matter is about halluncations and also it has a look of darkness and horror- the style that I want to show linking the the writing style. I looked at this and I thought about trying to replicate this through monoprint and to add the aspects of the words to it and also it has that unpredicabilty factor as well.

Andy warhol - disaster series - original post date 14th April.
After thinking about the way I could possibly add styling to my photographs I came up with the idea and was inspired by Andy warhol disaster series. My photos, i felt showed alot of movement and also distortion but i wanted to have a clearer link to hubert Selby Jr’s dark tortured writing style. I wanted something that looked very dark and had the aspect of fear. I feel like this style work work really well as I wanted to bring the aspect of lighting and have a difference from background to light to really bring out the light out from the page. Also it has that tortured look of and had a sense of unpredictabilty to it.
also I wanted to show the refrigererator stalking Sara and to have that aspect of enclosing and a horror feel and I feel this style would work well.

Rob Cartwright - original post date 13th April I wanted to look at the idea of creating aspects of light shapes. Because I looked into the effects of halluncations and one of them is that people are flashes of light and I felt this could be a good source where I could look into. I also felt it would fit with the aspect of linking with movement and a more abstract approach where distortion is key

Steven Killen - original post date 12th April
Again I wanted to look into looking at ways I could take photos. I really like the idea of having some form of distortion and having that aspect of un clearity linking to the aspect of the unpredicabilty of the halluncations and I think having some aspect of realism. Maybe using a person in context with the refrigerator has that realism aspect but also is intriging with this sort of style. I like this piece as I wanted to experiment to achieve this sort of distortion.

MAN RAY - ORIGINAL POST DATE 12TH April
My next idea is to get away from doing flat 2D designs and to focus on creating pieces of work that show alot of depth and that enter the soul. I thought about different techniques to do this to link to the halluncation effects and to think about speed. Movement. Abstract lighting and also that way of showing a altered surreal state. I thought photography would be my best option to do this because it would feel like its actually happening. So I looked at man rays distortion art and I felt that he ignored traditional techniques and opted for unstructured, “automatic” writing and that he explored illusions and dreams and twisted the idea of everyday normality, I wanted to think about using primary topics of surrealist focus – dreams, illusions, mystery, eroticism – into my photography. I felt man rays framework of the surrealist movement and The visual language of the camera had been transformed from an instrument of representation to a medium of artistic creation not unlike its supposed “higher-up,” painting.
Few artists exemplified this new photographic structure be
