Westland Puma HC.2 ‘XW214 / F’
flickr
Westland Puma HC.2 ‘XW214 / F’ by Alan Wilson Via Flickr: c/n 1120 Built 1971 Based at RAF Benson and operated jointly by Nos. 28, 33 & 230 squadrons. She is seen on the day of the Pumas ‘50th Anniversary UK Tour’, a formation flypast of locations associated with the Puma during the types 50 year RAF career. A reserve aircraft, she had departed Benson behind the others and was in the process of catching up the main formation of nine aircraft. Despite this, the crew still made the effort to give us a much-appreciated low-flyby. Thank you!! Peterborough Conington Airfield, Cambridgeshire, UK 7th July 2021

Corsair
Corsair on Okinawa, 1945. Four rockets under each wing, six fifty caliber machine guns, and what looks like a 500lb bomb.
An excellent ground attack plane, known by the Japanese as, "The whistling death.
This sound was caused by the air passing through the two oil coolers, one in each wing, Depending on the setting of the door, which controlled the air flow, it made a whistling sound during high speed dives. It was known to the Marines as, "The Angel of Okinawa".
Photo possible taken at the abandoned Japanese airfield, "Yonton", which is near the present day Kadena Air Force Base.

An F-15E Strike Eagle assigned to the 492nd Fighter Squadron lands at Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England, during a ‘Furious 48’ exercise Feb.11, 2020. Exercises like this provide both aircrew and support personnel stationed at the Liberty Wing the experience needed to maintain a ready force capable of ensuring the collective defense of the NATO alliance.
