had a headache today so I didn't end up doing anything ;(
going to make a new edit to post for Any Killer chapter 4 with main tags later today since the original doesn't work anymore and then I'll shift gears and get back to wakin' up blind
#it was just a headache and not a Migraine which was honestly more annoying#my migraines hurt more but will go away w meds but the headache just lasted all day and ibuprofen wasn't doing much#it still hurts a little bit but im going to bed and i think i'll sleep it off

I'm usually so bad at Actually Planning what I write and also Actually Sticking To The Very Few Plans I Do Make so I'm so proud of what I'm doing with Any Killer,,,, some little details from chapter 4 are very important, but they'll going to be completely forgotten for several chapters before becoming relevant again
And I will Actually Stick To The Plans because I've focused on working on those plot threads before the middle stuff and they're by far the most time consuming part of the process for this fic. I am lazy and therefore will stick to the plan because doing anything else would be Lots!! Of WORK!!!
#i might deviate from my plans for other pieces of the fic tho idk#it's only some very specific plot threads that are absolutely 100% set in stone#actually this is sorta how writing the first fic of the rockstar luis au series went#them going to a party and luis's grandfather dying in the last chapter were the only plans that were always set in stone#plans for everything in between went through a lot of changes

The trope where a character overhears something out of context and assumes the worst is usually annoying and bad but I really think it works well in Shrek
We, the audience, know that Fiona is talking about herself but, regardless, she’s calling herself these terrible things because she is an ogre. If Fiona is these things because she is is an ogre what does that make Shrek?
If Fiona says no one could love her because she is an ogre, she is saying that Shrek is also unloveable whether she wants to or not.
Imo the scene is a really good portrayal of how when you talk poorly of yourself or others for having a trait, you’re also talking about every other person who shares that trait; even if you love them or think what you’re saying doesn’t apply to them.
