freddie had spent the past three months of her life acting as if this whole ‘vampire’ thing wasn’t happening. before she died she was in the process of writing her second book, opening a wine bar and about finish her first book tour. though she’d put a pause on most of those things, until she could figure out how to be around humans without focusing on that vein in your neck that pops when you start to get frustrated. all she wanted was to go back to how everything was before this happened. “ i have a question, ” she started the sun was finally starting to go down so she made her way out to the island. despite the sun being high enough to make her skin start to sizzle she refused to go back inside, she wanted to watch the sunset and something about burning felt like penance for her sins.  “ what do y’all do for fun around here ? please keep in mind i am stuck in that room until sunset and unfortunately daylight savings started so the nights are like two seconds long. ”

so before being turned your girl had a pretty rough life, her mom was a waitress who dropped out of hs when she got pregnant she never knew her father 

when she was 14 she was staying the night at her grandparents house while her mom went out on a date, she didn’t ever come back home

two weeks later they found her mother’s body laying under a bridge, another victim of the night stalker 

that was the beginning of her obsession with death and murderers - she spent the last 10 years of her human life looking for information on him 

when she was 23 the night stalker was finally caught and arrested, however before going to trial he murdered himself. she never got to look him in the eye and ask why he killed her mother 

she tried her hardest to get over the death of her mother, she was raised by her grandparents and they did a grrrreat job but it just really fucked with her too much she was never really able to make friends, date, hold down a “real” job 

soooo she tried to kill herself, at age 28 right after graduating college with her masters in criminal psychology and publishing her first novel she crashed her car into a tree going 80 miles an hour 

unfortunately, or fortunately depends on if you’re asking freddie or not zeke saw this happen and turned her before she died 

so here we are, the cranky miserable vampire who’s lk obsessed with serial killers, death, and hates talking to ppl 

she’s hella not into the whole vampire thing. hella hella hella HATES zeke for doing this to her but since she’s stuck this way for all of eternity she’s trying to make the best of it
