All of the other displays of physical affection that's meant to be read as platonic or familial were very loud or jokey or boisterous, and they tend to be very upbeat and light-hearted; TIGHT RELIEVED HUGS and SPINNING EACH OTHER AROUND and MESSING UP HAIR etc. etc. And this scene makes me insane because it's so... solemn? It's so quiet and soft and intimate, but it's also meant to be platonic, and I. AGHHH!! IT SCRATCHED SOMETHING IN MY BRAIN!!!!! The lighting and everything!!! Giving the same weight to the farewell that they would give to a romantic relationship!!! THE LITTLE NUZZLE INTO HER HAND!!!!!! AND ITS!!! AHHHHH!!! ITS SO NATURAL THIS IS NORMAL FOR THEM BUT THEYRE NOT TOGETHER OR MEANT TO BE SEEN AS SUCH!!!! AND I!!! Cole and Nya friendship is everything to me now. I'm so soft for them they are literally everything.
