you know, thinking about it more, i know everyone is betting on aaron peters faking being nintendo, but it wouldn't be out of character for nintendo to do all of this either.

i keep thinking back to when giivasunner was struck and everyone thought it was a guy faking being nintendo, which had happened many times before, but nope it was actually nintendo.

i always see a "but why gmod? and why now?" as a counter, but that also makes me think back to hearing (don't know if its 100% true, take with salt) that the terraria calamity mod got a notice to remove the nintendo songs, back before they got dokuro on as a composer, which was half of the reason he was hired anyway. and this was back before calamity and modding terraria as a whole blew up.

and again, giivasunner. they went after brawlBRSTMs3 X two years before giivasunner. they could've jumped sooner, but they waited, and we don't know why. so 15+ years of mods or not; not acting sooner is in-character for them.

all in all, i wouldn't be surprised to hear if this is the real deal, that aaron got nintendo's attention and they decided to act. because you know, a lot of the models were ~illegally ripped~ from their games and shared around for free. and especially since even garry is convinced.

#hate to be a downer but this is seeming to just be another giivasunner #either way; every day i grow more and more amazed that the VGR is still running #pointless rambles #garry's mod #the calamity thing could also just have been from relogic too so shrug

hi i hate nintendo

the short version of The (possible) lore is that this could be a troll that's been biting at the gmod community for a while, or the real nintendo itself. either way, this is annoying.

anyways. there was a reddit post a week or few days ago when this started amping up, where pokemon ragdolls were being removed. someone posted a bunch of links archiving the models, along with other nintendo models. by now, the post was removed, and all the links were gone. but you bet i grabbed them before that happened! here they are, copied directly from that post:

Once you downloaded them, put them into the "addons" folder in the game's files: Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\addons If you wish to find mods updated after the 2020 update, locate this folder: Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\4000 One last thing; you will need the Extended Spawnmenu addon to access them.

mega is.... stupid so get ready for that. i might just reupload the mega zips to drive and add that to this too.

also check internet archive for some other removed mods anyway, maybe upload your own archives to there? idk. just archive what you can, even if it's only to a flashdrive because that's all you can do.

i've got a few mods, not many, that i'm going to work on uploading to a drive, so i'll come back and edit this when i have the time (the ones i have might already be in here but??? idc) main ones i have are: some pokemon PMs, the botw bow swep, the metroid prime sweps, and the botw shrine dungeon map. and if none of the above links for whatever reason don't have the metroid prime ragdolls, i also have those...

not a lot, but shrug. didn't expect to wake up to this mess today lol
