Tommy cringes. Sure, there's sleep-induced joint and muscle stiffness and then there's that. Someone needs to incorporate more stretching into gym routine.

Chim raises his shirt collar to his nose; the sniff test - tried and true since he was a teenager. Not the best, but certainly not the best.

Chim laughs, happy to clink his glass against Buck's. He knows Buck's got a propensity to fall into propensity for all consuming self pity, but Chim isn't worried. For one, the bar's atmosphere is too joyous for self doubt. For another, Chim recognizes how much Buck loves his sister.
"Yeah, well," he says, voice still light but there's an undercurrent of seriousness in his tone. "No way you're coming in last." Their parents take that prize, not that he's gonna say that aloud. Plausible deniability and all. Grateful as his for the Buckley's rekindling their relationship with Maddie, Chim's hesitant to fully support them.
"Yeah well, normally I would COMPLAIN, but I can't disagree with you there." And he doesn't even mean it in a sad kind of way. Buck likes his life, he really does, but he's also always has been convinced that Maddie is the better sibling out of the two of them. She's kind and caring and she's always looked out for him, especially when he hadn't been able to do it himself.
He lifts his beer and clinks it against Chimney's before taking a sip. "As long as I come in at number 3, I'm good man."

Tommy sighs. It isn't an unkind noise, though. Fondness mixed with exasperation.
He fixes Romeo with a look as he, very deliberately, presses the button on the blender. Loud grinding fills the kitchen and Tommy pulses it two more times as Romeo opens his mouth.
Turning, he grabs two tall cups from the cabinets behind him and still, he doesn't say anything. It's only once he starts portioning the berry-banana smoothie that he answers Romeo's question.
"I know you know where those are in the bathroom. And," he slides Romeo one of the glasses. "I've also told you a million times you don't have to ask." The fridge, medicine, other such essentials and miscellaneous items have always been open to Romeo and whoever else Andie's brought around. "Don't take anything on empty stomach."
