How many times was I befuddled with the body you willed into existence through my mother’s womb? Struggling against the voice of judgment.. Blood tears in my blood years. Any measure of time I thought you gone from my life for good and still you returned with your empty promises… Blood tears in my blood years. Should I cry a river of blood, twisted by the flow of my hips? He doesn’t love me as my father does, but still he lays my body down all the same and climbs a mountain in my thighs… Blood tears in my blood years. He doesn’t come to my defense when they spread lies, but breathes an atmosphere created from my sighs… Blood tears in my blood years. You tried to stamp my flow with a weak-willed touch of your hand, tried to force me to know the curves of your lips when I had no desire for them. Oh, I’ve survived. Blood tears in my blood years.
