Christmas with you
Dhawan!master x reader
Word count: 4.6k
Fem reader in mind when written , also I kind of decided the readers favour colour :) I know its only November but why not.
Synopsis: you just want the master to spend Christmas with you. However, you know he's never liked the human traditions.
Tumblr media
Christmas time was upon us. We'll, actually it was the middle of November. Nevertheless, it was my favourite time of year (except Halloween) and I was excited about celebrating. To make things better, in my opinion, our little group had gone up in numbers. After the masters failed attempt of erasing the doctor, they managed to settle everything and he actually ended up tagging along. Realising that he was acting out due to the intense loneliness and abandonment issues, she had let him come along. Yaz was extremely apprehensive at first, not trusting the renegade timelord in the slightest. Who could blame her? Either way, my defenses weren't as high. On his first night with us, I stayed with him and let him tell me about his life. All the things he'd done and how he was seeking our forgiveness. I found him so fascinating and incredibly strong. After everything he'd been put through back on his home planet, he was still here. Fighting for his life. I could see the pain in his eyes. The longing for understanding. So, I made it my job to be his friend. Not that it felt like a job, I really enjoyed my time with him. Reading ancient texts or deciphering an unknown planet's artifacts. He'd sit at the doors with me and tell me the name of every star, how they came to be and how they'd eventually burn out. Not that we did things only he loved, oh no. There were many occasions that he'd read to me. Or settle down and have movie nights. His company was idealic. So, it was no surprise I cought feelings for him. Sadly, I knew it was hopeless and pushed it all aside. I couldn't loose a great bond because my heart was feeling selfish.
-------------------------------------------------------
Alone in the console room with the doctor, I chewed on my nails. There was a question I needed to ask her but it was too embarrassing. Sucking it up, I let out a breath and went to her side.
"Doctor?" She looked at me with her usual smile, it almost quelled my anxiety.
"Can I ask you a question?"
"You just did! But go on, ask another."
Laughing at her dad joke, I sat against the console and tried to think of how to ask, without being obvious.
"Are we celebrating Christmas together this year?" The blonde stood straight, giving me a questioning look. She folded her arms and leant next to me.
"We do every year and you know we do. So what is it you're really asking?" Sighing at her observation, I pressed my lips together.
"Will the master be joining?" Giving me a doubtful smile, she just shrugged and turned to me fully.
"I really don't know. He's not usually one for human festivities." Feeling stupid, I just nod and went to leave. The doctor grabbed my hand.
"I know you want him there. It would be quite nice actually. And I know you..." she trailed off, coughing to ease the tension. Of course she knew, she was the doctor.
"Even if he choses to spend the day alone, you know it'll be fun." I smiled at her, trying to ignore my disappointment. The doctor let go of me and I went back to my room.
‐------------------------------------------
Christmas was getting closer, now only a week off and I was seriously behind on gifts. I'd also given up on trying to ask the master to celebrate. I didn't want to feel that embarrassment. Though, I did need a favour. Heading down to the library, I ran in and sat next to him. He looked up and grinned.
"Ah, my favourite human. What can I do for you?" Trying not to blush, I smiled at him.
"Please can i ask a huge favour?" Now intrigued, the master marked his book and put it aside.
"Go on."
"Can you take me Christmas shopping? I know you'll hate it and I'm already sorry but i-" He sat forward and pressed his finger to my lips. With a chuckle, the male stood and held his hand out.
"Its no trouble. Might be fun." Shocked at how easy that was, I took his hand and let him pull me up.
"You worry too much. I won't hate doing anything if I'm doing it with you." Now I was blushing. I cleared my throat and bobbed my head.
"Yeah, 'course. I was thinking Oxford Street?" Liking the idea, we split and got ready.
-------------------------------------------------------
Being on the tardis, I forgot how cold England was. Imagine how I'd cope back home in the North. I shivered thinking about it. So far I'd bought quite a few gifts. Just a couple left on my list. Whilst on our way to selfridges, the wind picked up dramatically. I hugged myself, not that it did much.
"What does your phone say?" We had been following my phones satnav. Looking at it, I spoke through chattering teeth.
"Ten minutes." The master chuckled, stopping me from walking. Confused, my eyes widened as he took his coat off and wrapped it round my shoulders.
"Dont just stand there. Put it on properly."
"Won't you be cold?" Shaking his head, he took hold of my hand and continued walking.
"Advanced biology. My internal body heat adapts whenever i need it." He explained, following the directions on screen.
"So you're like a heater, basically?" Looking down at me, I was tugged closer. My body relaxed as I was pressed to his side.
"If you want." Face bright red, I shrugged shyly and opted to stay quiet. He didn't mind and lead us to the store.
-------------------------------------------------------
After buying a few bits for the others back on the tardis, the master stood still.
"Right, I need to go get something for the doctor. Something about yaz, I'll remember after." Just as he started walking off, i grabbed his wrist.
"What? I'm just supposed to wait here? I'll get bored." I said, looking up at him. Smiling, he tilted my face back down and pressed a kiss to my head.
"Be patient." Too stunned to speak, I just stood there as he left on his own. Pressing my lips together, I suppressed my happiness and covered my face. Now then, did I find him a Christmas gift whilst I had the chance?
"You and your boyfriend are adorable." A voice came from behind me. Turning round, I saw a middle aged woman looking oddly happy. Laughing a little, I waved my hands.
"Oh we're not-" pausing, I thought for a second before stepping closer.
"Do you have any gifts ideas?" The lady cocked her head.
"For your partner?" Taking in a breath, I nod at her.
"Yeah." Even though I felt silly for lying, I could pretend that he was mine. Just for a minute. Kindly, the woman lead me back over to the gifting department.
"Any particular interests he has?" She asked as I gazed over all the options.
"Space." I told her, hoping there would be at least one thing.
"Well, we do have this?"
-------------------------------------------------------
"Where have you been?" The master asked, arms unfolding once he saw me jogging towards him. Out if breath I pointed at the sealed bag.
"Just getting one last thing. Were you waiting long?" He shook his head and wrapped an arm around my shoulder.
"Shall we head back?" I smiled and nod, walking with him.
"You look good in my jacket, by the way." Blushing, I hit his chest playfully. The male just laughed, leading us back to the tardis.
-------------------------------------------------------
Everything was nicely wrapped and put away under the tree. The doctor insisted the tardis dedicated a room to the festivities. I loved and appreciated it very much. Looking over all the gifts, I sighed. Tonight was going to be depressing. Yaz and the doctor were going in a little date. Something about an ice rink in the eighteen-hundreds. How romantic. Whilst me? I'd be here, alone. Plopping myself on the sofa, I pulled my knees to my chest. My chin sat on top and I let out a sigh. Why did I have to end up falling for someone I couldn't have? Beside me, the couch dipped, indicating someone had sat down. Looking up, the master smiled down at me. In his lap sat a box, elaborately decorated with red wrapping paper and a ribbon. He placed it between us and motioned towards it.
"For you." Surprised, I turned towards it and pulled at the ribbon until it came loose. Taking the lid off, there was a layer of tissue paper that I removed quickly. Underneath, I saw a red plaid material. Pulling the item out, I found it was a pair of extremely cosy pyjamas. That wasn't all. Below that was a small hot chocolate kit. Complete with marshmallows and a mug.
"Theres more." He was right, there was also a box of exquisite biscuits from a high end bakery.
"Yaz mentioned that some people do Christmas eve boxes. So I thought I'd get you one." Eyes wide, I looked up at the master in complete shock.
"I thought whilst the others were out we could watch one of your Christmas films? What was that one you were talking about? Home? Home away?" I blinked at him, mind taking a second to catch up.
"Home alone."
"Yeah, that. Oh and I also have matching pyjamas. Apparently humans love that. But if you don't that's fine too." He explained so calmly, it almost disturbed me. Why was he doing this? It made no sense at all. The master hated human traditions.
"Why?"
"Why what?" Brows furrowed, the taller looked genuinely confused with me.
"Why did you get me this? Don't get me wrong, I'm extremely grateful just, confused." A soft smile graced his lips.
"I want to spend Christmas with you. I know how much it means to you. And if me celebrating with you makes you happy, then I'm happy to give it a go." Putting the gift down, I practically threw myself at him. My arms wrapped round his neck and I buried my face into his neck. Immediately, his arms were around my waist.
"Thank you." He rubbed my back affectionately, squeezing me just a little tighter.
"Theres no need to thank me (y/n)." A few stray tears escaped my eyes, I was just so overjoyed. Fully aware of how pathetic that was, I pressed my eyes shut. The master pushed me back, cupping my cheeks.
"Dont cry, this was supposed to make you happy." Giggling, I leant into his touch naturally.
"I'm very happy."
"Good. Go change, I'll meet you in the kitchen."
-------------------------------------------------------
The pyjamas were extremely comfortable, a little big but that was always better. Arriving at the kitchen, I found that the master wasn't there yet. I took the hot chocolate kit and opened it. The only issue was, one cup. I'd have to get another down. Pressing the kettle on to boil, I opened the cupboard and sighed. It got infuriating, how often the doctor forgot she was no longer six foot. None of us on board were tall. Realising that the stool had gone missing again, I hoisted myself up onto the counter. I kneeled up and grabbed a mug, placing it down carefully. Now how to get back down? Turning myself round, I lost balance before I could even think about getting down. The impact of the floor never came. Instead, I found myself in the masters arms.
"Falling for me?" Going red, I laughed and stood myself up. For a second, whilst I was in his arms, the masters eyes flicked to my lips. We were so close, only for a second. Then, I pulled myself away.
"In your dreams." He just hummed, resting against the counter. Taking in his appearance, I almost laughed again. It was so strange to see him out of his usual attire. Especially in Christmas pyjamas. He almost looked cute.
"Do you want me to make the drinks? You seem preoccupied?" Rolling my eyes, I moved away.
"You can do it." He chuckled, grabbing the milk and adding some to the powder. I couldn't help but smile to myself. This was so surreal, he was actually being serious before. Feeling brave, I hugged his waist from the side and rested my head on his shoulder. Half expecting the master to shove me off, I almost melted when his arm wrapped around me; bringing me in closer. I watched as he made the drinks perfectly, topping them off with the marshmallows. Reluctantly, i detached myself from him and grabbed the cookies; leading us back into the festive room. Before he sat down, I grabbed a blanket from the side of the couch and got comfy. Chuckling again, the master handed me my mug before sitting next to me. I blew on the smoke to cool the beverage. Not registering that he spread the blanket across the both of us, I squeaked in surprise when I was pulled into his chest.
"Relax. Just making sure you're warm." He said softly, booping my nose. Well, i was definitely feeling warm inside. Sinking into his hold, I put on the movie and sipped at my drink. If I'd of told myself that we'd be doing this, together. I'd assume it was a dream. It really felt that way. As nice as it was, I was still confused. Why had he suddenly decided to join me? Maybe he just felt bad I was alone?"
"What are you thinking about?" Glancing up at the timelord, I pressed my lips together.
"You hate human things. So why are you doing this? Surely it's torture for you." I spoke quietly, placing my cup down safely. Maybe my question had ruined everything and he'd agree, leaving me all alone. In actuality, the master turned me towards him and cupped my cheeks.
"You really don't know?" Shaking my head, he sighed with a light smile. Suddenly, his lips were on mine, bringing me in closer. It took a second, to register what was actually happening. But when it sunk in, I kissed back instantly. My arms wrapped around his neck, intern deepening the kiss. Luckily for him, he had a respiratory bypass. On the other hand, I had to pull away. Holding my face gently, the master smiled lovingly.
"Understand?" I nod, grinning from ear to ear. Seemingly pleased with himself, he kissed my nose a few times before settling down again. Blushing, I lay on his chest and sighed in content.
"Oh, if you ever tell anyone I wore these." Pausing, I looked at him expectantly and waited for his threat. When his eyes met mine, they softened immediately.
"I'll probably just be embarrassed." Laughing, I leant up so our faces were an inch apart.
"You have a soft spot for me hm?" His hand cupped the side of my neck as he naturally simpered.
"The softest. Only for you." Not expecting that response, I turned pink and stared at him. He just chuckled, pulling me in for another kiss. The next day didn't seem to matter as much, my Christmas was already perfect now.
-------------------------------------------------------
Light touches on my scalp woke me from my slumber. I opened my eyes, finding my face pressed into someone's chest. His chest.
"Good morning." Blinking the sleep out of my eyes, I just hummed at the master. Curling into his side, he grinned and held me tighter.
"Sleep well?"
"Yeah, comfy. Did you stay here all night? Thought you didn't sleep?" Worried I'd indirectly caused him to waste his night, I was eased once he kissed my head.
"Of course I stayed. Wanted to make sure you were okay. Plus, I may of had a nap." I smiled at his admittance and pressed my lips to his shoulder.
"Good. Do you think the others will be up?" Shrugging, the master pulled the covers up more. It was chilly. Perhaps the tardis was setting up the mood for Christmas day. Even though I was extremely comfortable, I was excited and wanted to get up. Though, as I tried to move, the elder had a death grip on me. Whining, I looked up at him with a slight pout.
"Let me up."
"No you're warm and comfy here. Get up and you'll be cold." He stated, nuzzling his nose into my hair.
"Once I put clothes on I'll be fine." Still, he didn't budge. Huffing, I forced him to look at me by holding his face in my hands.
"Please can we get up?" Again, he shook his head but I was determined. Pulling him down, I kissed him softly and caught him off guard. He kissed back, unintentionally loosening his grip on me. Taking advantage of this, I broke the kiss and slipped out successfully.
"Very clever." He chuckled, following behind me.
-------------------------------------------------------
"What do you think?" I asked, twirling round to show off my outfit. Taking hold of my hands, the master kissed them both affectionately.
"Beautiful as always. Shall we go?" Nodding, I practically dragged him down to the room and found it empty. Instantly, he set up the fire whilst I turned the tree lights on. There were more gifts than last night. Probably yaz put them there once they got back. Now all we had to do was wait for them.
"I'll be right back." He told me before rushing off. Shrugging, I took my seat on the floor, between the tree and the fire.
"Goodmoring (y/n)!" The doctor practically yelled from the door, causing me to jump. She laughed, rushing in and sitting opposite me.
"Merry Christmas! Wow you lit the fire. You never do that? I thought it scared you? Anyway. This is exciting isn't it?" As she rambled, I just smiled happily. Yaz walked in after her, shaking her head in amusement.
"Calm down doctor."
"Can we open gifts?" The blonde asked, reaching over for one but I hit her hand playfully.
"Be patient." We all laughed, a happy atmosphere surrounding us.
"I'm glad you conquered your fear of the gas fire though." She commented, appreciating the warmth. Nervous, I wet my lips.
"I didn't." Confused, the girls looked at each other.
"I didn't light it." I told them, playing with my fingers. Before they could ask any questions, the master returned, three bags in hand. The doctor grinned instantly and greeted him warmly. Giving yaz a pointed look, the younger rolled her eyes with a smile. He sat beside me and put the bags with the other gifts.
"You don't mind if I join you? Don't want to ruin your day." He asked, specifically to the people across from us.
"As long as you eat my cooking. You're more than welcome." Yaz tried to sound stern but she looked quite the opposite. Chuckling, he nod and looked at me.
"Oh wait drinks! Come on yaz." The doctor practically dragged her away into the kitchen.
"Move forward love." I did as I was told, allowing the master to sit behind me. Now between his legs, I leant back against his chest. He ran his fingers through my hair gently.
"What about the others?"
"What? They can be all sappy but we can't?" Giggling as his almost pouting face, I leaned up and kissed his cheek.
"Of course we can. I'm just worried."
"Why's that?" Nuzzling my cheek into his chest, I sighed and pulled his arms around me.
"Because I'm scared they'll be awful towards you." He rested his chin on my shoulder, lips against the shell of my ear.
"Dont worry about that. It doesn't bother me in the slightest." Even with his reassurance, I was unsure. The master kissed my temple repeatedly, to the point I started laughing.
"Stop! OK, OK. I won't worry." Satisfied, he nod and leant back against the wall. The fire crackled, its light flickering around the room. Lights on the tree were golden, making the baubles stand out perfectly.
"Right you two, yaz will be a minute. She's just finishing up with the coffee." The doctor announced, halting once she saw us. A smile crawled to her lips as she sat and handed me my tea. I took it gratefully, warming up instantly. Yaz emerged with the coffees. Though, she looked extremely confused as the master took it and thanked her. She went to speak but the doctor was quick to cut in.
"Who wants presents? Me! I'll hand mine out first." Grabbing the, not so neatly, wrapped gifts, she handed us one each. Yaz ripped the paper off, an instant wave of happiness on her features.
"Wow, it's beautiful." She commented, pulling out what looked to be a necklace.
"Its a sentiment pendant. From the Angichi galaxy. When you hold the gem, your feelings will repeat on my matching one!" The doc explained, making her girlfriend smile.
"I really love it. Thank you." They shared a loving kiss before putting them on. Behind me, the master opened his gift and chuckled.
"You can't gift someone their own object doctor." She rolled her eyes at him before crawling across to sit in front of us.
"I know that. It's not your TCE. I'm not giving you that back. No, this is a bit like my sonic. Scans the area. Gives you accurate readings. Unlocks doors." She continued, pointing all the different settings and functions out.
"I just built it to look like your TCE. Thought you might appreciate that." He nod, grinning at her.
"Does this mean I can come on your next outing then?"
"We'll see." We laughed, knowing that he most likely would be joining us. It was about time, the doctor couldn't keep him away from the universe forever. My gift ended up being a first edition collection of eighteen century novels. Freshly printed, brand knew and old ar exactly the same time. I gave her a hug, thanking her for such an amazing gift. Time travel was remarkable.
"Me next! Here you go." Yaz spoke, giving me and the doctor gifts. I took it gratefully, though sad the man holding me didn't get one. She has gotten me an exceptional amount of vouchers for both earth and planet's we had been to before. I definitely wasn't complaining. As for the doctor, she got her a promise ring. Inspecting it, the blonde tutted her head at the blue jewel in the centre.
"Is this a calipso pulse? That's a-"
"I may of had help." Yaz admitted, shocking us both. We turned to the master, seeing him drinking his coffee casually.
"I know you like blue and plus, they disarm explosives. Will come in handy." He let her know, putting his cup down.
"Its perfect." Letting the girls have their moment, I took hold of him hand and smiled up at him.
"It was sweet of you to help her." Lifting our hands, he pressed a kiss to the back of mine and shrugged.
"I was happy to." Yaz cleared her throat, alerting us to look at her. She held up a small wrapped box.
"This is for you." He took it and pulled the lip off, his brows raising at the sight.
"Its for your pocket watch. The cleanser is good for silver and the cloth will be gentle on the glass." Nodding at her, he beamed and seemed genuinely thrilled about it.
"This is very useful. I appreciate it. Thank you." They smiled at each other. Slipping out of the masters arms, I grabbed my gifts and dished them out. Eagerly, the doctor ripped hers opened. I decided on buying her some more luxury bow ties for her tux. In a variety of colours as well. She seemed to like this, looking at each one with a smile. For yaz, I got the cooking equipment she'd been asking for all year. The tardis was amazing but the kitchen was lacking actual tools. Now for the mist nerve wrecking part, the masters gift. I washed home open the box and pull the lid off with care. He looked over the set with interest.
"Its so you can chart the stars. I know you probably have some advanced technologies that do it better. But you can carry these around in your pocket. Plus the book has everything laid out for you to fill in. I saw y-" Laughing, he wrapped an arm around my shoulder and kissed my head.
"Shush. I love it. Thank you. You're right, this is actually quite useful for being on the go." He cut in to stop me rambling, relaxing me immediately. Happy he liked it, I leant into his hold. Opposite us, they went to get up but were stopping in their tracks.
"I actually got you both gifts as well." The master pulled away and handed them a bag each. Surprised, they sat and opened each one in turn.
"Now I know you get sentimental doctor. Don't start crying on me. I can't deal with that." He snickered, watching the blonde as she held the book with care. A look of awe was on her face, fingers tracing the cover.
"How did you get this?"
"What is it?" Yaz asked, looking between them in wonder.
"Its a book of galifreyan fairy tales. I took it when I was last there. It was a new addition. I thought you'd like it." The master informed, absentmindedly toying with the ends of my hair. Simpering, the doc bobbed her head.
"Thank you." It was nice, watching the old friends reform their connection.
"Woah what is this?" Yaz laughed, picking up the steel black box with interest. The master explained the told to her. Apparently, it was perfect for any police officer in any situation. Hand cuffs, tazer, torch ect. It was all built into one. Whilst they were distracted talking, I opened my gift and tilted my head curiously. Reaching my hand in, I pulled out a brown, fluffy bear. It was a little unusual however. With pink eyes and nose, it's fire was extremely soft but different than I'd felt before. It was beautiful.
"Theres outfits for it as well, I thought you'd find that cute." He pointed out and I retrieved them from the bag immediately. There was a little pyjamas set but also, a purple jumper and grey pants.
"It'll look like a mini you." I giggled, dressing it up in the clothes.
"Hm? I suppose thats the point. I know you get cold easily and it's made from a special type of fur, that heats up according to your body temperature. For when I'm not around." My heart panged, feeling touched that he'd put that much thought into it.
"Oh I also got pink eyes because that's your favourite. In it chest there's a heart bearing noise. For if you get lonely."  Lifting it up, I pressed my ear to the bears chest and gasped. A familiar beating played, lifelike but not eerie at all. Ecstatic with the present, I turned and hugged the master tightly. Something caught my attention immediately. With my head on his chest, I could instantly hear his dual hearts. That was the same as the bear. Like he wad indirectly gifting me his heart. I teared up, completely overwhelmed by the romantic gift.
"Dont cry love." He chuckled, wiping my cheeks delicately. Shaking my head, I grinned from ear to ear. Cupping my cheeks, he leant down and pressed his lips to mine. I kissed back, my arms snaking around his neck comfortably for a moment.
"Happy?" I nod at him, out noses still touching.
"Extremely. Thank you for spending Christmas with us."
"Anything for you, sweets." Having that sweet moment, we completely forgot about the others in the room.
"Excuse me you two. When did you start kissing?" Yaz exclaimed, amusement in her tone. We looked at her, eyes wide. Well then, this was going to be awkward.

Because Of You
Part 2.
Dh!Master x fem reader
Part 1
Synopsis: you finally get away from the doctor.
Warning: bad language. Blood. Pain
(A/N: so I decided to write part 2 haha. And in a different pov. Just ahead of this weekend obviously)
Tumblr media
After another harrowing adventure, it was safe to say you were exhausted. And now the master was banned from tagging along. Apparently he’d become dangerous again. In reality, you knew the doctor was still bitter over your bond. Plus, it gave him alone time to plot an escape. He knew where his tardis was, it was just getting there. Before you had chance to find him, the doc stopped you and announced she had somewhere else to take the two of you. Yaz was thrilled, smiling as the blonde began to ramble.
“I’m tired.” You spoke softly, hoping for some understanding. At that moment, all you wanted was your bed. After spending the past five hours constantly running, that’s exactly what you needed. That and a bath. Instead, the doctor rolled her eyes and scoffed.
“I’m not stupid (y/n). I know that you’re just going to find the master.” You sighed tiredly, rubbing your eyes. Not having the energy to argue, you just shrugged.
“I wasn’t but never mind. Let’s go.”
Oh how you wished you could have stood up for yourself more. As you were hiding behind a large stack of crates, your heart was pounding and your ears ringing. The doctor and yaz were nowhere in sight. They had fled without a second thought. So here you were, listening as heavy footsteps grew louder and you knew you had to get out. Pulling yourself up, you dashed for the door and found a padlock. Great.
“Human life sign detected.” A robotic voice echoed around the metallic room and your blood ran cold. Having no other choice, you smashed the lock with your fists and ran through the door. Sadly, there were armed guards ready which meant your legs carried on. On the other hand, their weapons were knives so easier to evade. Saying that, one managed to snag your shoulder as you rounded a sharp corner. Quite literally. Seeing the tardis, you threw yourself inside with urgency and slammed the door.
“There you are!” Yaz yelled, but not with relief. Turning round, you gaped for air as your lungs were burning.
“The hell did you go! We’ve been waiting here like idiots. Couldn’t you keep up?” The doctor was almost screaming, storming over to you with purpose. Now confused, you rested against the wooden doors to steady yourself.
“We had the right to just fly off and leave you there!”
“Then why didn’t you? It’s not my fault, you abandoned me. I told you I was tired.” You spoke through heavy breathing, adrenaline wearing off. Once again, the doctor rolled her eyes and shook her head.
“You love to make excuses up huh? I hate liars.” Everything caught up to you, your anger becoming too much. Harshly, you shoved the blonde back.
“You think I’m lying? Look at me!” Yaz was quick to go to the doctor, holding her close.
“I’m covered in blood! Because you left me alone with a set of killer robots!” You shouted in a fit of rage. And you were right. Your hand was balled up, each knuckle wounded. Your shoulder had a large gash to go with this, the pain becoming more apparent each second. Huffing, you pushed past them weakly and began to walk up the stairs before stopping. Turning back to the two women, you pressed your lips together before speaking.
“He would never let me get hurt.” Your words hit the doctor hard and Yaz had to keep her restrained as you left. Once around the corner and down the corridor, your lip began to tremble and your body grew weaker. Suddenly, you felt hands land on your shoulders and gazed up only to instantly relax. The master peered down at you with worry. You succumbed to your needs and fell into his chest with ease. Your body wracked with sobs and the man holding you tightened his grip.
“Hey hey. It’s okay sweets.” Hooking his hands under your arms, he picked you up effortlessly. Your legs wrapped around his waist and you clung on weakly.
“I’ve got you now.” The masters voice was low and gentle, his hand running along your back. You faintly heard him mutter ‘hold on’ before your head began to spin. More than it already was. Everything was hazy, falling in and out of consciousness. You barely registered what your body was feeling. But you could make out the press of the masters lips to your temple. Then everything went black.
The doctor stood in the console room, messing around with the controls. She could feel eyes boring into the back of her head and sighed.
“What do you want?” She sounded bored, turning to face the master. He strolled over, jacket long gone and hands tucked into his pockets.
“You haven’t noticed.” Was all he said, standing right in front of her. The doctor furrowed her brows, casting her eyes around.
“What?” He just chuckled at her not knowing and aimlessly walked around the console.
“You and (y/n) had a pretty heated fight I see.”
“Only because you have corrupted her.” Scoffing, the male leant against a pillar and tilted his head.
“No I haven’t. And you know I haven’t. That’s what’s driving you mad.” He slowly took a step towards the blonde with a smile on his lips.
“You can’t stand that she chose me over you.” He chuckled, running his tongue along his teeth. Pulling his hand out, he twirled it round in the air with expression.
“And to make things worse for your overworked brain, it kills you that she loves me. Doesn’t it?” The doctors nostrils flared with rage, nails digging into her palm as the master continued on.
“And I love her. The one human you can’t have. Because she’s mine.” He finished, smiling smugly.
The Doctor went to slap him but he grabbed her wrist with force. They stared each other down, him finding intense joy at her upset. Laughing, the master moved away and head up the steps.
“What is it then? What haven’t I noticed?” The doctor spat, halting the man. Smirking, he turned and looked at her with pity.
“We’ve been gone three days.” He whispered patronisingly, waving at her before pulling out his TCE and disappearing. Leaving the doctor to wallow in her own feelings.
When you awoke, you found yourself in a room you didn’t recognise. What you did know, was you were lying in the most comfortable bed you had ever been in. Purple silk sheets surrounded your body, your head resting on two perfectly fluffed pillows. Gazing around the room, you saw how nicely it was decorated. In front of the newly found four poster bed, was a cracking fire. A beautiful grey tiled mantelpiece encased it with intricate galifreyan carvings. The wall to your left was lined with dark book shelves with the most luxurious books imaginable. There was also a desk slotted between. Slowly, you sat up and looked down at your hands. They were neatly wrapped up, as was your shoulder. Then you realised you were wearing only your bra and a pair of very loose pyjama pants.
“You’re finally awake.” The masters voice greeted you warmly, the door clicking shut behind him. Coming to your side, he perched on the edge of the bed.
“Where am I?” You asked, voice horse. Smiling, he placed his hand in yours and you relaxed immediately.
“On my tardis. In my room to be more specific.” He told you, happy to see the relief on your face.
“You got us out?”
“Of course I did, love. I couldn’t let her treat you like that any more.” Gently, he reached up and stroked your cheek, thumbing the skin with care. His eyes raked over your figure, fingers tracing the bandages.
“I hope you don’t mind your attire. I wanted to make sure I could clean everything.” Blushing, you shivered under his touch but shook your head.
“I don’t mind. How long was I out?”
“Three days, I put your mind in a deep state of rest.” The master moved closer, almost caging you against the pillows. But you didn’t complain, instead you felt comfort. He rested his hand by your waist, your own hand came to hold his arm securely. Almost hugging it.
“I went back to the doctor. Gave it to her straight. I should have hurt her but, I couldn’t leave you for that long.” Smiling at his words, you rested your head on his shoulder and sighed.
“How about my room? Do you like it? It’s much better than the doctor’s tardis right?” You almost giggled at his need of approval.
“I love it. It’s a lot nicer so far. Plus your bed is so comfy.” Leaning back against the pillows, the master helped you to sit straight and get comfortable. Inching closer, the man was still facing you but practically sat on the bed beside you. His hand landed on your clothed thigh, smoothing over the fabric tentatively.
“She hadn’t noticed, by the way. We’ve been gone for three whole days. And the doctor didn’t notice a thing.” He laughed, simpering as he lined the pattern on your pants with his finger.
“Why would she? I’m not important. You on the other hand-“
“Don’t say that ever again.” He spoke sternly, eyes looking straight into your own. Frowning, you cast your gaze down to his hand on your thigh.
“But I’m not important to her. And I don’t care.”
“Well you’re important to me. And I’ll destroy whole galaxies to prove that.” Your heart sped up, swallowing thickly and hoping he couldn’t tell how flustered he was making you.
“Really?” You questioned, causing him to hum in confirmation. Sucking in a breath, the master trailed his hand along your inner thigh and up to your waist.
“Yes. I will burn heaven and earth for you.” His eyes flicked down to your lips briefly, the blush on your face spreading to your ears. You looked up at him shyly, lashes fluttering.
“Stop looking at me like that, (y/n).” The master groaned, leaving you confused.
“Why?” Smirking a little, he cupped your jaw with intention. Without saying another word, he leant forward and pressed his lips to yours. Heat filled your body. You kissed back instantly, ignoring the initial shock. Your arms wrapped around his neck to tug him in closer, the male practically hovering over you by then. He pulled back with caution, smiling down at you.
“That’s why.” Gleefully, you rolled over, successfully pinning him beneath you. The master grinned, holding your waist. He looked proud at your tactical move.
“Hah. Got you.” You giggled playfully, resting your elbow down to get closer to him.
“Only you can get away with man handling me, dear.”
Delicately, he traced along your face before trailing down and leaving his hand to cup the side of your neck. Placing your own free hand on his chest, you sighed.
“How do we get back at the doctor? You must have a trick up your sleeve?” You wondered out loud, hearing him cackle slightly.
“Oh of course I do. And with you by my side? It’ll be easier than ever to get her exactly where she deserves to be.”

Because of you.
Dh!master x fem reader
Warnings: doctor is mean
Synopsis: the doctor has seemingly abandoned you even if you're right there with her.
Tumblr media
My back ached as i leant awkwardly against a tree. Not just a normal tree either. Seeing as we were on an alien planet, this tree had green wood and leaves the were an ombre of gold and purple. As well as that, the wood itself seemed to be more solid and dense. For some reason, the doctor had stranded us here, saying she'd be back in an hour but, of course, her time management was awful.
"Dont think too hard, your brain might explode." A voice came from behind me, causing me to roll my eyes. As of late, the doctor had decided she needed to keep a closer eye on her best enemy. So here I was, stuck on an unknown planet with the master. An icy wind blew over, making me loose my train of thought.
"Ignoring me now? That's not very nice." Sighing, I looked over to him and crossed my arms. The male was stood a few feet away, coat long since abandoned on the tardis and sleeve rolled down for once. Probably due to the atmosphere. It was absolutely freezing. Though, we were alone here so I couldn't be too hard on the timelord. It wasn't his fault after all. Turning to him fully, I gave a close-lipped smile.
"Sorry, I was distracted." I said, rubbing my hands together subtly. He hummed, walking over and taking his place next to me.
"So, have you ever been here before?" Deciding to make conversation to pass the time, I asked him the simple question with genuine interest.
"No, actually. I'm pretty sure this was an orphan planet at one point." The master told me, looking around at the scenery. Brown grass was frosted but healthy and many plants could be seen.
"Doesn't look dead to me." Pursung his lips, the taller male nod and inched closer, though i didn't notice.
"Well, a fleet of silurians found it and brought it back to life." That made sense, seeing as they were big on all things nature. A shiver rippled through my body and I quickly zipped up my hoodie. If only the doctor let us prepare for this. She had other things, meaning other people, on her mind.
"Your cheeks are red." Feeling embarrassed, I glanced at the master, eyebrows furrowed.
"That's what happens when humans get cold." Again, he nod.
"Its cute. Us timelords, we don't work like that." Ignoring the second half of that sentence, i could feel the blush settling in. Why did him saying that make me so shy? During his time on board the tardis, he seemed to follow me around. That, I had noticed. But I merely thought it was his love for annoying me that made him do that. We had a movie night last week and he sat next to me. Just a coincidence, right? Or that one time he held my hand whilst running away from a pack of zygons. Just the heat of the moment surely. All of a sudden, I felt myself get pushed forward, away from the tree. Before I could complain, two arms wrapped around my sides; taking my hands in theirs then sliding them into the pockets of my hoodie. Looking up, the master looked back with a lazy grin.
"Dont even complain love, I don't have a coat and you're freezing." Knowing he was right, I relaxed back into his hold, basking in his natural body heat. Even though he wasn't the tallest man alive, he was the perfect height to hug. Shamefully, I had noticed this the first time we met. Back then, I found him to be quiet attractive. Not that I didn't now but, seeing as he was the doctors enemy, I tried not to think such things. More wind blew and I pressed myself against him more. Not minding, the master gave my hand a quick squeeze.
"Where is she? In what world is this an hour? Its been, what, three at this point? Ridiculous." He tutted, clearly fed up by this point. So was I.
"She's with yaz, master." Confused, he stared down at me as I rested my head back to meet his peircing eyes.
"Have you not noticed, in all your time with us?"
"Noticed what?" He asked, clearly oblivious to the blossoming romance.
"The only thing the doctor pays any attention to now is yaz. Not me, not even you. Since they got together, it's consumed her." My tone was slightly bitter over this whole situation.
"And, you know, I don't blame her. I'd love to have a relationship. But its gotten to the point where the rest of us don't matter. Hell, even Dan left." I continued. Hearing the master scoff, I glanced up once again.
"That's what keeping her so distracted? She does this every time." Shocked that he didn't see this, I asked-
"You really didn't notice? They're pretty obvious." Grinning, he shrugged a little.
"I was only ever focusing on you." Face heating up, I looked away quickly and listened as he laughed a little. The cold was getting worse the later it got and my body was shaking at this point.
"She'll never hear the end of this. Making you suffer whilst she has her play dates." He muttered, glaring at nothing in particular.
"Even I considered leaving but there's nothing for me at home. Now, there's nothing for me here either. She barely registers that I'm there." I didn't mean to get choked up, but tears gathered in the corners of my eyes and my voice wavered.
"Maybe I should just go home. I'm not needed here anymore. Y'know, people always told me I was the second choice." Maybe it was the cold, making me ramble on about the things that had been building up for a while. Pressing my lips together, I let out a quiet sniffle. Instantly, I was turned around and pulled into the masters hold properly. His arms were wrapped around me tightly and, on instinct, I buried my face into the crook of his neck. Tears ran down my cheeks but he didn't seem to mind.
"Dont say that. You're not a second choice. Just because that idiot woman is love struck, doesn't mean you're worth any less." The master spoke softly, rubbing my back which both soothed me and created extra heat.
"You're the reason I agreed to her idea. The only reason I followed you around was because I wanted to be near you." Stunned at his admittance, I lifted my head just enough to look at him. Just by reading his expression, I could see it was sincere.
"Could of just come to me normally."
"Most humans push me away." Resting my head back down again, I gripped onto his shirt weakly.
"I won't. I like your company." It was true. This insane, genocidal man brought me comfort.
"I'll remember you said that, sweetheart." The pet name just caused me to smile. Beginning to feel light headed, I went slightly limp and the master cursed under his breath.
"Try to stay awake, I'm trying to contact her." Knowing he meant with his mind, the doctor was most likely Ignoring him. Like always. He kept grumbling about how ignorant and careless she was. Agreeing mentally, I perked up once hearing the familiar engines of the tardis. Out she came, placing her hands on her hips dramatically.
"What are you whining about? I've only been gone a little while!" The doctor almost yelled, clearly annoyed that he'd been contacting her.
"A little? It's been three hours and you damn well know the conditions of this planet!" He spoke through gritted teeth, glaring at the blonde lady. She just scoffed.
"You're fine! Honestly. You're so dramatic." The sound of her voice became muffled as my body finally gave out. Luckily, the master felt this and lifted me with ease before giving the doc a deadly stare.
"Get out of the way." Eyes wide, she turned on her heal and walked back into her ship, him barging past. Completely ignoring yazs' calls, he was glad to find the tardis had moved my room closer. Pushing the door open with his foot, he was quick to place me down on the bed before pulling the covers up.
"I'll be right back." He smiled before leaving me to get comfortable. The bed was cosy and the duvet brought instant warmth. Not enough though.
The master made his way into the kitchen and began boiling milk. Drumming his fingers against the marble surface, he felt eyes on the back of his head.
"So, did you have fun on your little date, doctor?" Hearing her come closer, she leant against the counter and glared up at him.
"I was, until you got in the way. You know, when you agreed to this I thought you'd be easy for once." Disbelief was written all over his face.
"Your companion was suffering."
"She's stronger than you think." She retorted to his statement. Trying to calm himself down, the master chuckled bitterly.
"No, I know how strong she is. However, when someone collapses in my arms, that tells me they're suffering." Huffing, the doctor threw her arms up in a sort of defeated manner.
"Okay, so I miscalculated time." Pouring the hot milk into the cup, the master reached I to the cupboard to grab the hot chocolate powder.
"Why are you drinking that?" Rolling his eyes at her question, he carried on with making the drink.
"Its not for me." He muttered, hunting around for marshmallows. Realising who is was for, the blonde blinked in confusion.
"(Y/n) likes hot chocolate?" The master picked up the mug and looked to her with a blank expression.
"I've been here two months and I know your companion far better than you do."
--------
"Here you go." Sitting up, I smiled as the master handed me the perfect cup of hot chocolate. Actually, too perfect. There was seven mini marshmallows floating on top. Exactly how I made it.
"You remembered." I said, simpering at the action that warmed my heart. Coming to sit beside me, he just smirked. Looking smug as ever.
"Of course I did. You make it every time we get back from an outing." Sipping it, I felt content. I had also noticed it was made in my favourite mug.
"Do you need anything?" Humming, I looked up at him and nod immediately. The master stood up, ready to assist but looked perplexed once I'd moved over so I was on the other side of the bed.
"Sit. Stay." Raising his eyebrows, he chuckled and sat down properly. I lifted his arm up and slipped into his hold easily. Almost too easily.
"You needed this?" He asked, thumbing my waist gently. I nod and relaxed completely, my hands holding the mug snug to my chest.
"She's going to come look for me." The master reminded me. Reaching over, I pat the ship affectionately.
"Keep her away, please." Letting of a sound of agreement, I knew I'd been listened to. Finishing my drink, I placed it down then curled up. I felt instantly better and arms circled around me and pulled me in closer.
---------☆
A few days later, I was sitting in the console room, reading a book peacefully. I'd been given a half hearted apology from the doctor but that didn't matter to me.
"What are you reading?" Looking up from my page, I smiled at the master and nodded for him to sit next to me. Explaining the Elizabethan literature to him, we began discussing the book in detail. It was nice to finally have someone to talk to. My head rested against his shoulder as we spoke, a calming atmosphere in the air. Unfortunately, we were disturbed once the doctor bounded in with yaz hot on her trail.
"So I'm thinking Trellon? Beautiful planet. Full of unique buildings, exotic markets and-"
"And one of the most deadly royal guards in that part of the galaxy." The master interrupted, looking unamused.
"We'll be fine as long as we don't do anything disruptive." She waved him off, inputing the coordinates into the system. Sighing, the male got up and went to her side.
"Are we sure you'll be okay then?" Letting out a gasp, she seemed almost offended.
"I'm not that bad." He just shrugged. I joined them and looked at her. Seeing the look on my face, I didn't miss the vexed expression.
"Yes you have time to go change. The climate is like that of your home. Lukewarm." Nodding, I left and went into my room. Opting to wear a baggy jumper, short skirt and boots. Making sure my hair was brushed, I felt the tardis land and sprinted back to the console room. Yaz smiled at me and walked over to the door with the doc.
"Ready?" The master held his hand out for me and I took it happily.
Around ten minutes later, we arrived at a huge outdoor market. Different spices and other aromatic smells hung in thr air.
"Now then. Don't wonder off too far and don't get into trouble." The doctor lectured, gazing at one individual in particular. The male besides me held his hands up in defence.
"I make no promises." He chuckled before pulling me off into the crowed. Seemingly excited, I gripped onto his hand, sharing his energy. It was like he was looking for something, inspecting each stall we passed by.
"What are you looking for?" I asked, gazing round in wander. It was extremely busy and the people were dressed up extravagantly.
"Theres this drink. Think, hot chocolate meets cinnamon and maple an-"
"Christmas?" Grinning, he nod and finally came to a halt.
"Yes! Exactly." The master picked up two round, bowl like mugs and handed me one. It was loaded with cream and some sort of sprinkles. Honestly, it looked amazing.
"Try it. You won't be disappointed." Listening to him, I took a sip but only got the cream. Huffing, the masters laugh caught me off guard so I looked up to him.
"What?" Instead of replying, he stepped forward and used his thumb to wipe my nose off gently.
"Try again." Giggling slightly, I took a proper drink this time and my eyes widened at the flavour.
"Good right?" Nodding eagerly, I pointed over to a small box on the counter.
"What's that?" Checking what I was looking at, the master grabbed them and opened it up. Inside were an assortment of colourful tiny blocks. Tilting my head, I watched as he picked one up one and held it to my lips. Giving him a sceptical look, he sighed.
"They're truffles. The sweet kind, not the mushrooms." Taking his word for it, I opened my mouth and was delighted to find it tasted like roasted, caramelised hazelnuts.
"You should trust me by now dear." He spoke almost sadly. Placing the mug down, I hugged his waist tightly.
"I do trust you." Arms wrapped around me and kept me in a protective hold. Like this, I felt content and safe.
"Come on. There's more I want to show you."
--------☆
Back on board, I slipped away to take a shower and freshen up. I was happy that, for once, nothing bad happened. Shamefully, it actually felt like a date but I couldn't let myself think like that. Stepping out of my room, I wash shocked to come face to face with the doctor. I smiled up at her.
"Has he hypnotised you?" She spoke sharply, making me very confused.
"What?"
"Or has he promised you things? Empires or galaxies?" Realising she was talking about the master, I blinked at her.
"No? What are you talking about?" I questioned, wondering why she was acting like this. Suddenly, she pulled out her screwdriver and gave me a sonic. Her features were flooded with annoyance.
"I saw you both. Holding hands, sharing food. You even hugged him." Feeling like my privacy had been completely invaded, I moved away.
"You were watching us?"
"I had no choice!" The doctor almost sounded convincing but I knew what she said just wasn't the case.
"Yes you do. You don't need to watch him that closely." Scoffing at my words, she leant back against the wall with a prominent scowel.
"You have no idea (Y/n). He will kill you." Having heard this all before, I rubbed my face in annoyance.
"Dont you think he would of done that by now? Doctor, I think maybe he just enjoys my company." This time, she actually laughed. Her head fell back against the wall before coming up to meet my gaze.
"Oh you poor thing. He really got you didn't he?" Tone patronising, I could feel my blood boiling. Why so suddenly was she treating me like I was nothing.
"Dont talk to me like a child. Just because you think yaz is better than the rest of us, does not give you the right to treat me like shit!" For a moment, she was silent before getting right up in my face.
"You really are stupid! He will manipulate you and treat you like his puppy!" Flinching, I kept my cool.
"Just like you do!" Before she could scream again, I threw my towel at her and ran off down the corridor.
A door suddenly appeared on my left and I entered quickly. Out of breath, I hunched over and successfully held myself from falling.
"(Y/n)?" Looking up, I saw the master sat on a brown leather couch. Taking his glasses off, I wobbled over then collapsed next to him. He sat up and hooked his hands under my arms, pulling me over into his embrace.
"Do you want to kill me? If you do, please just get it done with." After a minute of no reply, his hand began to mess with my hair.
"I'm guessing the doctor had a little word with you hm?" Nodding, I buried my face into his purple vest and took in the scent of old books and ink.
"I always thought, every companion of hers would be on my list. Every one of them have been so annoying. So dumb. Helplessly in love with her." He spoke calmly. His hearts beating in a relaxing rhythm.
"Except you. You've never been afraid of me. You never held the doctor up to a higher standard or treated her as a god." Letting out a sigh, I could tell he was conflicted.
"It took me so long to figure out why I couldn't bring myself to kill you. At first I followed you in hopes I'd just snap like usual. But no. Instead, you bring me peace." Lifing my head, I looked up at him with big eyes. Curious as to where he was going with this, I let him continue.
"You numb the racket in my brain. And whilst I couldn't accept it at first. I do now." I sat myself up, sitting between his legs. Tilting my head, I blushed as he pat cheeks dry gently.
"So no. I'm not going to kill you. Maybe steal you away once I'm finally allowed to go." Giggling, I leant into his larger hand.
"I wouldn't mind that." A grin broke out on his face, pulling me forward yet again so we were even closer.
"Seriously?"
"Why wouldn't I agree? You're more fun than her. Plus, maybe you'll take me where I want to go?" Humming, the master brushed his fingers down through my hair.
"Anywhere you like, as long as I'm sure I can keep you safe." I couldn't help but relax more under his touch.
"I trust you, you know? I know you'd keep me safe no matter what." He grinned, placing a hand on my head and pulling me back into his arms.
"Then, we'll leave. And I'll take wherever and whenever you like." The master spoke softly, leaning down and kissing my head.
"We won't have to deal with this anymore. I promise."

Lie
Dh!master x fem!reader
Synopsis: the master and the doctor both notice how much you have changed over the past few months. And it worries them.
Warnings: abuse, physical and mental. Injuries, breakdowns, Death, murder. The master kills a man. Victim blaming . Manipulation. Probably more.
Tumblr media
Sitting in the console room, the master put his paper down and looked up. The doctor was under the console, trying to improve on something. He honestly didn't care enough to ask. Instead, there was something else on his mind. Sitting forward, he scratched his chin thoughtfully.
"What is it? Because I can hear your brain working from here." The blonde said, not moving from her spot.
"Have you noticed anything off about (y/n)?" Sliding out, the doctor sat up and pulled her goggles off.
"Oh thank god its not just me."
Coming to stand in front of him, she crossed her arms.
"She's been attached to you. It's like everything else scares her." Her observation was indeed correct and whilst the master wasn't complaining, it was worrying.
"She used to be so confident and brave. When did it change?" He asked, looking up at his old friend. She hummed, pacing slightly to try and think clearer.
"I dont think there's any point in being coy, she's obviously the closest to you out of any of us. If anyone can find out, it's you." nodding, the master stood and cracked his neck.
"I'll try my best. Should we go pick everyone up?"
They landed in the usual spot in Sheffield. Yaz was already there, bounding in once the doors were fully materialised. The master almost laughed at how excited she was to see the doctor. Dan was next, on time as usual. Immediately, he began to brag about his date with Diane. Not bothering to listen, the master stood by the door and waited. His fingers tapped against his arm worriedly. Thirty minutes late by this point, he huffed walking back over to the console.
"We could always go forward in time, to the point she arrives?" Yaz suggested but they shook their head.
"I want to see how late she is. You two can go decide on where we go alright?" Agreeing with the doctor, yaz and Dan sat on the steps discussing.
I was practically running down the street. Well, I say running, hobbling would be more accurate. I'd made him really angry this time. Stupid mistake. I shouldn't of mentioned any of my friends. Especially not him, but I couldn't help it. Not when I'd grown so close to the master. He was always there for me, to help me get away from the hell at home. Taking a deep breath, I looked at my phone and saw I was nearly an hour late. They were definitely going to question me. I entered the tardis anyway, a fake smile plastered on my face.
"Ah! (Y/n)!" The doctor cheered, rushing over to me. Giggling, I shut the door to block out the cold. I was only in a thin sweatshirt, even in the winter. Only because he had ripped my clothes to shreds.
"Sorry I'm late. Train was delayed." I lied through my teeth, praying to myself that it was convincing. Grinning, the doctor grabbed my arm and pulled me to the console. I couldn't help but wince, not expecting her to do that. Looking to my side, I saw the master stood there. He was leaning against a pillar with his hands in his pockets. Jacket discarded and sleeves rolled up, I almost blushed just seeing him. He simpered, coming to my side.
"Have a good few days off?" No. Doing my best to seem happy, I nod and told a few false stories to them.
"Well that's great! Yaz, have you decided where we're going?" The doctor asked, the pair coming to join us. The brunette suggested something and the doc got to work piloting. Suddenly, a hand landed on my shoulder. Out of reflex, I flinched harshly and covered myself from harm. But nothing happened. Lowering my arms, found the master looking at me with worry. I just laughed it off, swallowing down my anxiety.
"Everything alright?"
"Why wouldn't it be?" I responded way to quickly and I knew he thought that.
"You've got a bruise on your cheek." He pointed out, thumb brushing against it softly.
Oh no. In my rush I obviously forgot to cover it.
"Oh yeah. Funny story that. Walked right onto a door frame." All he did was nod at my fake tale. Slowly, he opened his arms.
"Come here." Not needing to be told twice, I wrapped my arms around his waist and sank into his hold immediately. How could I not fall in love? From the minute he began to travel with us, the master was by my side. He'd put himself before me no matter what.
"You know I'd never hurt you, right?" Even the way he spoke with me was so soft. So genuine.
"Of course."
Three mad, near death adventures later, we were gathered round the console exhausted.
"So, drop you off to recharge yeah?" My heart dropped at the doctors words but I knew I had no choice. Yaz nod, happy to get some rest. And Dan, well he wanted his girlfriend. All I could focus on was the fact I'd have to see my 'boyfriend' again. No matter how many times I tried to break up, he wouldn't let me go.
"(Y/n)? You okay?" Dan appeared next to me. I jumped, not expecting to hear his voice. He looked confused at my reaction and lifted a hand; probably to touch my shoulder in hindsight. Backing up, I felt my back hit someone's chest. I relaxed, recognising that it was the master.
"I'm fine, sorry. Zoned out." Unconvinced, Dan didn't have time to reply as we landed abruptly. Heading for the door, the doctor stopped me.
"Stay safe." Oh how I wish she knew. But they could never know. Without responding, I left and hurried home.
--------☆
Counting to ten, I took a deep breath then went inside my house. The tv was blaring, some old Hollywood movie. Realising he wasn't there, I made my way to the kitchen. It was a state as usual. Pans piled high, moldy plates and stained glasses. Plus, it stunk of stale food.
"Where have you been?" A slurred voice came from behind me. All the hairs on the back of my neck stood up.
"Answer me!" He yelled, forcing me to turn around. Having me trapped against the counter, my heart rate picked up.
"With my friends." Mistake number one. Rolling his eyes, the taller gripped my wrist so tight, I thought it might break.
"Stop lying! Are you cheating? I bet you are. You're such a whore! Sleeping with every man you lay your eyes on." Whimpering at his accusations, I shook my head fiercely.
"No I swear!" Mistake number two. Chuckling dryly, he sneered.
"Did you just yell at me? Huh, you little bitch." My body began to shake as I knew what was coming. When I said nothing, the drunk male slapped me. I fell to the floor with a thud.
"Let me guess, you were off with that man you told your mother about?" Now internally screaming at myself for talking about the master, I chose to remain silent.
"What's so good about him anyway? I bet he's just some ugly little rat. Could never be a better man than me." Anger boiled beneath the surface. Without thinking, I snapped.
"Dont talk shit about him!" Third mistake. His eyes were vacant and soulless. Saying nothing, he grabbed the wine bottle from the counter and smashed it on the edge. Glass exploded around me as I let out a scream. He held it up, ready to use.
"You're gonna regret that slut."
--------☆
Tuesday couldn't come fast enough, it had been hell these past three days. As soon as the tardis came into view, I rushed in. Everything hurt, everything was sore. I wanted to collapse and never wake up. Everyone looked at me, they all seemed to be staring. Especially the master, who stood straight upon seeing me with his brows knit tight together.
"What?" I asked confused, chest still heaving from my run.
"Your nose is bleeding." Yaz told me. Touching my nose, I found that she was right. The master stepped forward without warning and I yelped, jumping back. He froze, eyes showing clear worry. All at once, everyone moved closer. Not being able to handle all the attention, I rushed past and ran to my room on board. Going into the bathroom, I shut the door before banging my fist against it repeatedly. That man ruined everything. Why couldn't I just be happy? I turned the shower on then peeled off my clothes, it was so painful. None of the wounds were treated and they were all fresh. Stepping into the shower, I slid down the wall and sat there; letting the water run over me.
Back in the console room, everyone stood not knowing what happened. The doctor gave the master a look. He nod then turned to the humans.
"What does (y/n) do at home?" They both shrugged, not having a clue.
"She never talks about it with us. Dodges the subject mostly." Dan admitted. Sighing, the master tried to peice everything together. But, with so little evidence, it was hard. Then it hit him and god, did he hope he was wrong.
"Who does she live with?" He asked, wary of what the answer could be.
"She used to live with her boyfriend." Yaz told him, sitting on the console beside the doctor. The blonde tilted her head.
"Used to?"
"Well, she wanted to break up with him. But she still could I suppose?" Wetting his lips, the master thought over everything. It was about four months ago (for them, not him and the doctor. Time travel and all that.) that this has all started.
"When did she say she wasn't happy?"
"I dunno. Three, four months?" He looked at the doctor to see she was frowning. They were thinking the same thing.
"Go." She said and he didn't need to be told twice. The master ran down to my room, not bothering to inform the other humans. The doctor would do that for him.
Doing my best not to cry, I began to feel numb at the burn against the cuts. I'd dealt with worse. The bathroom door was suddenly thrust open, I screamed and covered myself best I could. In the entrance, the master stood there. It was too late, he'd seen it all. All the damage my body had. Shutting the door, he reached in and turned the water off; grabbing a towel in the process. He crouched in front of me, wrapping the towel around my back. His eyes scanned over every scar, cut and bruise. Without question, he pulled me into his embrace.
"What has he done to you?" Knowing that he'd figured it all out, the floodgates opened and I broke down in his arms.
"Shhh, its okay now. I've got you." Not able to respond, I just cried more. I didn't deserve his time at all, yet here he was.
"How about, we get you dry? I'll take care of your wounds. Then, I'll make sure you're nice and comfortable. Is that okay?" Nodding slowly, the master picked me up and sat me on the counter. He pulled out a clean towel, to replace the now damp one and dried me off very gently. Making sure to pat my skin with great care. After putting on some underwear, the elder disappeared for a few minutes before returning with a med kit. It was silent as he aided all the deep gashes and bruises littered on my skin. Taking my hand in his, he observed the hand shaped bruise on my wrist. It wasn't the worst injury I had, but definitely the most noticeable. I knew for a fact my back was in bad condition along with my stomach.
"He won't get away with this. I swear that. I'm going to throw him in a black hole." That comment made me giggle for the first time in ages. Smirking, the master handed me my fluffy pyjama hoodie and pair of shorts. Actually, they looked more like boxers. Either way, I wasn't complaining and put them on.
"Come on. Bed. You need rest."
"I'm fine-" a stern look cut me off. Of course, I was not fine. Instead, he carried me to my bed and sat me under the duvet.
"I'll be right back." He told me then disappeared. Resting my head back against the headboard, I took a deep breath. What was going to happen now? I was going to end up homeless. All alone. My eyes filled with tears yet again. Once everyone here found out it would be so embarrassing. They'd definitely judge, or laugh. Maybe? My head was a mess at that point.
"Hey, hey. Why are you crying sweets?" Not looking up, I heard the master speak before coming over. Something was placed on my side table, i didn't know what. His arms encased me, moving me so I was sat between his legs and leaning on his chest. I sniffled, hiding myself in his chest sheepishly.
"Talk to me (y/n). I want to help you." He tried but I just couldn't believe him. So, I shook my head at him.
"Please?" Turning myself slightly, I buried my face into his purple vest. My shoulders shook violently. Instantly, he began to rub my back soothingly.
"I hate him." I stuttered out, feeling pathetic.
"Tell me everything. I'm here for you. I'll listen." Taking a deep breath, I pressed myself against the warm male more. Though I found it hard to believe, that he'd actually be interested in listening to me, I wasn't going to pass up the chance to vent.
"It started a few months ago. He'd always been angry, he'd yell when I made mistakes or did something he didn't like. But when he started getting physical, I tried to leave. He didn't like that and he pushed me down the stairs." The masters grip on me immediately tightened after I had said that. Clearly, he was angry but I wasn't scared at all.
"After that, it didn't stop. Every time I forgot something, he'd hit me. If I spoke back, he'd hit me. If I went out alone, if I didn't clean, if I didn't cook. Especially when I spoke about you guys. Everything landed with him getting angry. And he took it out on me.  Every time." I concluded, his vest getting damp from my tears but he didn't mind. Holding my shoulders, the master pushed me back and held me at a comfortable distance.
His thumbs brushed my cheeks dry, a calming look in his eyes. Before he could say anything, I spoke out my own insecurities.
"Now I'm going to be on the streets right? I'm gonna be alone again. I don't want to be alone, please. Please don't leave me alone."
"Shh, come here." Hooking his hands under my arms, the master sat me on his lap properly; head landing in the crook of his neck. Now straddling his thighs, I was much more snug against him and able to hug him tightly. His arms were almost possessive around my waist, but i enjoyed it.
"I am never going to let you be alone. Ever. You're stuck with me. And I promise you, that he will pay." He spoke softly, kissing my cheek soon after. Turning pink, I managed to collect myself a little. My body began to go a little limp in his hold, everything seemingly catching up with me.
"Are you tired?" All I could do was nod at his words, i could tell he wanted me to sleep. But I was scared.
"Can't sleep."
"Why not love?"
"Nightmares." Understanding, the master cupped my cheeks and stared into my eyes.
"Would you like me to help with that." Nodding once again, his lips pressed against my temple and I was out for the count. Once I was asleep, the master tucked me in then stood. For a moment, he pondered what to do then began his journey back to the console room. The doctor looked at him anxiously, clearly wanting to know what happened.
"I want to kill him." He told her directly, alerting both yaz and Dan. They rushed over as he came in front of the doctor. She inhaled deeply, staring at him with intent.
"Its bad?"
"Its worse than you can imagine. Tell me no or else I'm going to kill him." Quickly, the blonde started to fly her ship. Rushing around the console, she flicked different levers and pushed the right buttons. The tardis landed with a thud.
"Where are we?" The master asked, forehead lined with frustration. All those pent up feelings weren't good for the mind.
"Outside (y/n)s House." She went over to him, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Get him." Their eyes went wide in shock. The doctor was actually giving him permission to kill him. Not needing to be told twice, the master grabbed his jacket and rushed out.
Just waking up from a black out, the unsuspecting male stumbled into the kitchen and poured himself a glass of wine. Suddenly, the door slammed behind him, causing him to jump and drop the drink. He turned and saw the outline of another man in the shadows. Out came the master, arms folded tightly. Backing up, the human was utterly confused.
"What are you doing in my house?" He slurred, eyes going up and down repeatedly. Chuckling, he walked closer and unfolded his arms, revealing a dagger in his fist. Immediately, the man sobered up and swallowed thickly.
"What's your name?" The master asked, not sparing him a glance.
"Michael." Nodding, he took another step closer as Michael began shaking.
"Hello Michael. You're going to come with me." Of course, he complied and followed the master out and into the tardis. Once on board, he was in a state if shock. But the master payed this no mind and began to fly the tardis skillfully. Once he was happy with the place they were adrift, he stalked back over.
"Before you die- and believe me, you really are going to die- tell me. What pleasure did you get out of hurting (y/n)?" Michael's face went sour, realisation setting in. He scoffed and looked away.
"Is that what all this is about? That stupid girl. For fuck sake!" Raising his brows, the master watched in amusement, as the human had his tantrum.
"What bullshit has she been spewing now? All she does is lie! Even made up some guy with a dumb name. Just to pretend anyone would actually give a fuck about her! I never hurt her! She's just pathetic." He told him, rolling his eyes afterwards. It was silent for a second before he began again and, as you can imagine, the rage was growing tenfold inside the timelord.
"I did not hurt her! Never. God she's infuriating. Are you just going to stand there? Looking at me as if I'm stupid, it's unnerving." Michael asked, making the master shake his head with a slight pout.
"No you carry on. You're only making your death more painful." The look in his eyes was that of ice and he felt his blood go cold. It finally set in. Whoever this man was, he was being serious.
"Why do you care so much?" Ignoring the question, the master tutted quietly and lead him to the doors.
"This 'guy with a dumb name'? What did she call him?"
"Uh- The master I think. Why does that matter? Who even are you?" A smirk grew on his lips, gazing at the male with a murderous glint in his eye.
"Well, I'm not made up. That much, I'll tell you." Clicking in, Michael looked extremely confused and took a step away.
"You're the master? You're real? So she was cheating! That little bitch! When I get my hands on her I'm going t-" Instantly, the dagger was pressed to his throat, cutting him off. The master pushed him against the closed door, teeth gritted together.
"You really are thick." He laughed out but wasn't happy even in the slightest. Michael let out a strangled breath, staring at him in fear.
"Never hurt someone I love. It won't end well for you." Gripping the back of his shirt, he opened the doors to reveal looming darkness.
"What's that?"
"That, stupid human, is a black hole." The master muttered, taking the dagger away from his neck. Without a second thought, he impaled Michael's waist. He cried out but the master didn't care. Instead, he drew him in closer and spoke into his ear.
"Enjoy your time in hell." With that final statement, he was thrown out into the void, tardis doors shutting behind him. Resting his head against the doors, he let out a breath. At least he knew this therapy was working. The master didn't get half as much joy as he used to. But he didn't regret it. Not at all. Feeling a hand land on his shoulder, he turned to see the doctor. She had a sympathetic smile.
"Go. She needs you." He smiled, nodding in recognition before heading back down to my room. Finding I was still asleep, he took off his shoes, jacket and waist coat, before slipping in on the free side. Carefully, he pulled me closer and relaxed as I subconsciously attached myself to him. Maybe even he could fall asleep like this.
Groggy, my eyes forced themselves open. Going to move, I found myself under something- or someone- weighted. Looking to my left, I found the master. He's was sleeping. That was odd, he never slept. Taking this opportunity, I sunk back down and buried my face into his chest. It was warm and safe.
My movements must have woke him as he stirred a moment later. His hands tightened on my waist and I quickly hid my face in his shirt.
"That doesn't make you invisible you know?"
Turning red, I gazed up at him.
"You were asleep."
"No I wasn't."
"Was." It went silent. Just staring at each other until he gave in. Casting his eyes to the beams on the ceiling, the master spoke.
"Maybe I was." I smiled and tried to adjust, get more comfortable.
"You never sleep." Carefully, the male pulled me further onto his chest, a hand still encasing the dip of my waist.
"No, I just can't sleep. There's a difference, love." Ignoring how my blush grew, I allowed myself to bask in his warmth. It felt nice. It fight oddly right. To be there, in his arms. A man I was once told to fear, to avoid at all cost. He now lay here holding me as if I could disappear. Mind starting to catch up, I suddenly remembered just how I got in this situation.
"What did you do? When I was asleep?" I asked, looking up at the master with wonder. He rolled his head against the pillow, eyes scanning my face. A hand traced the bruise on my cheek tentivley, a tense sigh breathing by his lips.
"Do you want the truth, right now? I don't want to upset you." Our eyes locked and I nod surely, letting him know I could handle the truth.
"I took Michael. I listened to his shitty lies. I let him talk, let him grow scared. Though, I could have done it for longer but I was too angry." He started, glaring up at nothing in particular. Sensing his growing anger, I reached forward and laced our fingers together. The master looked at our hands, the corners of his lips twitching upwards.
"I stabbed him. I threw him into a black hole. He's in a million pieces now. Floating through space. Dead." Maybe he was expecting me to recoil in fear, or give him a lecture. Instead, I sat up with a smile. I leant down and kissed his cheek, causing his eyes to widen in the process.
"Thank you. For saving me." Even if my voice was quiet, the master grinned and sat himself up as well.
"You don't have to thank me doll. I'd do it again in a heart beat." Pushing back the covers, the master got himself up.
"Wait right here." Then, he rushed out, leaving me alone. I smiled to myself, going to the bathroom. After doing what needed to be done, I washed my hands and looked in the mirror. As much as I loved my hoodie, I pulled it off and felt more comfortable. Seeing as I was wearing a sports bra, I turned and head back into my room. It wouldn't matter, I could throw a tshirt on if the master was uncomfortable. Crawling back onto my bed, I sat on my knees and grabbed my phone. Finally, I deleted Michael's number and hovered over my photo gallery. Once I have clicked on it, my heart dropped at all the cold memories stored there. They hurt to see. So caught up in my phone, I didn't hear the door open. The master looked up and froze, eyes raking over my figure. Quickly, he shook those thoughts away and came to my side, gently placing two mugs down on the bedside table.
"What are you doing?" He asked, moving so my back was flush to his chest. I showed him my phone screen, all the photos now highlighted.
"I'm deleting all of it." Nodding, the master watched as I did so and noticed how my eyes grew sad at the now black screen.
"Dont be upset, love. Its over now." Gently, he pulled me between his legs, resting back against the pillows. My body followed his, relaxing against him.
"I made you tea." Carefully, he handed me a steaming cup of tea. I took it gratefully, blowing the steam in effort to cool it. For a while, we sat there, drinking tea whilst I listened to a few of his stories. I loved hearing about his and the doctors childhood. It sounded almost magical. Whilst the master was speaking, I looked up and found myself staring at the alien. At least now I didn't have to feel guilty about my feelings. Not that I ever did, it's not like I wanted to be either Michael in the end. The cup, now empty, was taken from my grasp, knocking me out of my daydream. The master grinned down at me, brushing his fingers through my hair.
"What's with that look?"
"What look?" I asked, eyes never leaving him. Chuckling, he let out a sigh before moving his free hand down to my waist.
"I should have tortured him more. He deserved it." His fingers danced around the bruise on my stomach, light touches almost making me shiver.
"It doesn't matter now." Still, I could see it was bothering him.
"He was never a good boyfriend, even before the really bad times." The master never stopped his hand from moving, giving me full attention.
"How so?"
"He never showed me love. I could never hold his hand, or hug him. He never kissed me. I was just an accessory to him." I explained, frowning at the memory.
"Over a year of neglect. Maybe that's all I'm worth." Immediately, the master whipped his head to look me right in the eyes. It almost made me flinch.
"Absolutely not. That man was an absolute idiot. A waste of space." He seethed, inhaling sharply afterwards.
"I would never treat you like that. I would never let you go. I'd-" We both froze as he slowly realised the weight of the words he just spoke.
"I mean. Hypothetically." The master slightly stuttered. My mouth was parted, blinking in the informed.
"I would treat you better anyone. Because that's what you deserve." A smile grew on my lips, listening as the; usually calm male, fumbled with his words.
"Not that you would be interested. Now or ever. But I'm just-" Giggling, I kneeled up, gripping his collar and pressing his lips against mine. Initially surprised, the master held onto my waist and melted into the kiss soon after. Pulling back, I was taken aback when the male pulled me into his chest. My head rested against his shoulder comfortably.
"If I'd have known that the feeling was mutual, I'd have taken you away from him much sooner." The master stroked the top of my hair, pressing a kiss to my temple lovingly. Simpering, I nuzzled in closer.
"You're here now. That's all that matters." And that was the truth. From then on, everything would get better. As long as he was by my side.

For you
Chapter 1
<<Prologue
Synopsis: now back on board her tardis, the doctor finally finds out just what you are.
Tumblr media
After the kerfuffle that was finding the tardis, the doctor placed you down gently. She smiled before walking up to her ship. You could hear her talking to it and it made you smile. She was so strange.
"Mad, isn't she?" Yaz appeared beside you, ready to help you inside. Nodding, you turned to her curiously.
"Have you known her long?" Happy you were now talking, yaz looked your way with a grin.
"Nope. 'Bout two days? We're only here because she messed up a teleportation device." Taking interest, you thought for a minute, wondering if your original thoughts were correct. She couldnt be, could she?
"What species is she?"
"No idea, she just kind of appeared on earth. Crashed through a train actually." Yaz explained, laughed whilst you just looked confused. Upon seeing this the human girl stepped back.
"Wait do you know what a train is?"
"Right, fam. If you lot could just hang fire. I'm gonna take (y/n) to the med bay." Of course, everyone was understanding and waved the doctor off as she took hold of your hand. You felt a little warm, leaning into her side for support whilst she guided you through the new corridors.
"Gotta say, I love what the tardis has done with herself." She grinned, taking in the combined rustic and modern designs. You agreed, finding comfort in its dark interior. Though, after hearing what she had said, you furrowed your brows and looked up at the doctor.
"Tardis?" Your voice was quiet but the blonde picked up on it easily and hummed. Her hand curled around your waist, pressing you against her more firmly.
"Yes. Amazing ship, as you can see it's bigger on the inside. It stands for time and relative dimensions in-"
"-in space." You finished her sentence, leaving her wide eyed in surprise. The doctor pushed open the door to the med bay and quickly got you sat on one of the beds. For now, she was choosing to believe you were just incredibly smart, in order to know what the tardis stood for.
"I'm gonna give you a scan. See if everything is OK. Treat your wounds." You nod, watching her type onto some machine. Soon you realised it was the scanner as, after a quick press of a button, a blue light drew over your body. It was at this point the doctor realised just how exhausted she was. It was all catching up to her. Once the scanner had stopped, you looked over to the doctor and inhaled deeply. Now incased in a dull, golden glow, the doctors hand gripped at the cabinet she was leaning on.
"Doctor." Taking note at the concern in your voice, she gazed down to her hand and let put a noise of annoyance. She stood straight and shook her hand furious.
"Its nothing, Its just-"
"Regeneration energy." This time, the doctor knew you weren't just 'incredibly smart'. No, there was more than that to it. Even if the obvious was staring her right in the fact, the doctor looked at the monitors and felt her breath get caught in her throat.
"Two hearts." You just looked at her nervously, not sure on how she would take this new information. The blonde walked up to you, pressing her fingers to the side of your neck. Making eye contact, you could see it sink it.
"You're a time lord." She breathed, stepping back. Bobbing your head slightly, you looked aside.
"So are you." For a moment, just two just stared at each other, not knowing what to say.
"How did you get there?" The doctor asked, collecting a bag from a nearby cupboard.
"I dont remember. Its fuzzy." You told her, watching as a blue liquid was pulled from the bag along with cotton pads. Before she did anything, the doctor observed you in great detail. As if she were examining you, searching for lies. There was none.
"What's the last thing you do remember?"
"War." She inhaled sharply at your response before smiling sadly.
"Its gone, isn't it? Our planet? It was destroyed, right?" You were sure of it, even if your memory was corrupted at that time.
"Yes. By me." Expecting you to lash out, the doctor was surprised when you seemed relieved.
"That's okay. I understand."
"Okay? All those innocent lives, your family?" All you did was press your lips together.
"They gave me up, doctor." Face softening, the elder cupped your cheek, thumb brushing over it gently. You couldn't help but blush, leaning into her touch naturally.
"This is going to hurt."
"That's okay." So, she got to work and you watched as the bruises disappeared and the cuts scared. The doctor was right though, it did sting. Seeing your tensed frame, she apologised quietly.
"I'm sorry, love. We're done now." Helping you down, the doctor smiled warmly before putting everything away.
"Now then. Let's get you some food. Then to sleep. We can talk more once you've rested up." You agreed, walking down the corridor with her.
"What about you?"
"Oh I'll rest as soon as I drop the gang back on earth. They'll want to go home." You weren't so sure either of those things were true. But you hummed nevertheless. Your eyes were growing heavy, the day catching up on you. The doctor must have seen this, her hand stroking your hair affectionately.
"You'll feel better soon. I promise."

Just before I get into the story I would like to explain a few things. Originally, I wrote this story on wattpad. It did quite well on there and, seeing as it is unfinished, I thought I would; rewrite, improve and upload it here chapter by chapter. In this version, im going to be uploading a prologue first in the 3rd person eith the rest of the chapter's being in your (the readers) pov. So, I hope you enjoy my story.

For You
13th doctor x female reader
Synopsis: The doctor finds you on her first outing in her new body. But who are you? And how will you impact each others lives.
Prologue:
Sunlight shone down harshly on the desert like planet below. Looking up to the sky, the doctor sighed and looked at her new gang. Only two-three days into a new regeneration and she had already found herself friends. Hopefully this incarnation would be more open than the last (she hoped anyway).
"Those suns are starting to set. They're moving way faster than I realised. "She told the others absently, not really paying attention to detail until Graham piped up.
"Well, back in the tent, that bloke Ilin said do not travel by night." Realising he was right, she nodded to herself. Nothing could ever be simple.
"We need to move, fast." The doctor stated only for the group to turn around and come face to face with a group of armed, inhuman creatures.
"Whoa! They weren't there when we came in." Graham stumbled back slightly in shock .
"Where did they come from?" Ryan shouted out to no one in particular. Pulling her sonic out the blonde, scanned over them rapidly.
"I don't know. "Her voice was calm but, in actuality, the doctor was panicking and she hated that. Yasmin groaned angrily and looked at her for a way out of this. After all, the humans were only there due to a fault in the doctors original method.
"Oh, my God, Doctor!"
"So much for no life forms on this planet." Looking at them The eldest began to explain , or rather try to.
"They're not alive. They're robot guards. Why would you need robot guards on a deserted planet? Good news is, they're not fully active. So, what we all need to do is very slowly, totally unthreateningly, back out of here."
From inside they suddenly heard the sound of two guns going off within seconds of each other. There was no guessing it was Epzo's doing. Being so aloof, he had probably got himself shot in the progress. However, the robots gears began to turn and they came to life in less than a second.
"Argh! They've been activated! Run!" The doctor yelled and began to rush past the armed robots.
"Move! Move, everyone! Come on!"
Graham encouraged everyone as the others followed. But the robots were too smart.
"Ah! Ah! Swerve! Don't run straight. They're predicting our path! In here!" The doctors voice echoed in the small space as she tumbled into the room that looked like a shooting range. After making sure everyone was in and the guards had lost them, the doctor let out a breath. Waving her hand, she leant against the wall.
"Sit, catch your breath." Not needing to be told twice, Ryan flopped down with a groan.
"You are so dramatic." Yaz scoffed, joining him in a calmer manner. Graham laughed at the younger man's face, he looked deeply offended.
"I am not dramatic."
"You so are." The doctor watched them bicker affectionately and smiled. She loved humans and all their weird little quirks. Gazing ahead, she took in the state of the room. It was big, empty and extremely dusty. Some of the targets had dents and holes from bullets and blasts. At some point, there was working lights on the ceiling. Now, however, there was big gaps or smashed glass in place of them. Also, it was so quiet. So still. In fact, the place looked like it had been barren for many years. Who knows how long. From the corner of her eye, the doctor saw something. Only slight movement, but still, something. Maybe it was sone sand falling. No, it couldn't be. There was a noise, subtle but defensive there.
"Shush.." She muttered, swearing that she'd heard a small cry. Which, should have neen impossible. Why would anyone be there? When the group didn't go quiet as the doctor needed, she huffed and turned to them.
"I said shut up!" And they stopped. Hearing another whimper she put a finger to her lips, signalling for them to be silent as she approached the noise. Behind a pillar, in the corner of the room, sat a huddled figure. Their face buried into their knees.
"Hey..."The Doctor tried to sound gentle as she sat on her knees in front of the person. They whimpered and tried to get even further away. She frowned, sensing the fear this person was radiating. It took a minute, but she eventually spoke, trying hard not to spook them.
"I'm not going to hurt you. Can you look at me? Maybe we could help you?" After a few seconds the person finally lifted their face. The Doctors eyes softened as she saw all the deep wounds. Some looking old, some fresh. It was a girl. A young girl. Her face was cut up badly in some places. Neck covered in dark bruises, she was trembling and trying to hide as much of herself as possible.
"Oh I am so sorry sweetheart. Can you tell me your name?" She looked at them clearly scared. Her eyes almost shook in fear. The doctor could feel her hearts constricting. Or, maybe, that was the pent up regeneration energy. Sure, she had fainted but it was barely any time to recharge.
"Its (y/n)." A cut by her mouth opened up and began to bleed as she spoke.
"Gosh, you're really beaten up. We can help. I promise you." The doctor smiled warmly, gently wiping the blood away. The two locked eyes, the doctor instantly feeling a sense of knowing.
"Doc I don't mean to alarm you but they're nearly here." Graham spoke gently . Probably trying not to scare (y/n).
"Ok ok. Quick introduction then. This is graham, Yaz and Ryan. Oh and I'm the doctor." She nodded startled with how quick they were going.
"Can you walk?" Yaz asked her, offering a smile as well. (Y/n) thought for a moment before attempting to move. Very slowly, she got to her feet. Just as she took a step, her knees gave out. The doctor was quick to react, catching her instantly.
"Is it okay if I pick you up?" Shyly, the girl nod, allowing the doctor to lift her gently.
(Y/n)'s arms wrapped around the tallers neck, the doctors arms holding her up with ease.
"Want one of us to help doc?" Graham asked as they headed towards the exit. Glaring slightly, the timelord shook her head.
"No. She's fine with me." Taking the hint. He simpered and nod. All the while, (y/n) let her head rest upon the doctors chest, listening to her heartbeat. Wait, no. Heartbeats.

Rule Breaker
Synopsis: the doctor can't tolerate the way you think, but maybe someone else can.
Dh!master x fem reader
Wc: 5.8k
Warnings: mentions of death, abuse, assault. Implied smut but no description. The doctor is a little mean. Violence, weapons usual master stuff.
Honestly, I was inspired by wolf to write this. (Jack definitely should of left matilda on the roof after killing him.)
Tumblr media
(Y/n) pov
"Doctor he deserved to die!"
"No he did not!" We had been fighting for ten minutes. Standing in the clearing of a forest on earth, we had just witnessed a mans death. Not an innocent man. No, no. This man was clearly abusing his wife. So, when she picked up the gun, who was I to stop her? He deserved it.
"Have you ever heard the saying 'an eye for an eye, a leg for a leg.'? Maybe you should research it!" Scoffing at me, the doctor folded her arms. The wife had been escorted away by yaz, leaving us and their cabin abandoned.
"Yes I have. And it's utterly pointless. Noone deserves to die."
"He was a monster!"
"That's not for us to decide!" She screamed, stepping forward. I took a deep breath and rubbed my face.
"Doctor, he would have killed his wife. She had enough, good for her. Its exactly what he deserved." I saw her eye twitch at my statement. Shaking her head, the doctor began to walk away.
"I'm going back to the tardis. You do whatever makes you happy." With that, the doc stormed off, leaving me in the clearing. Groaning, I turned round to find the body of the man we were arguing about. I tilted my head, kicking his side with my boot.
"Disgusting. If the doctor wasn't here I'd have killed you myself." Thinking out loud, I stared down at the body with distaste. He looked like a creep, even in death. Now, he'd never see the light of day again. And that filled me with joy.
"I could have stabbed you, in the house. I had the chance. Stupid doctor. Stupid rules." With a pout, I gripped his face with my nails.
"Pity, I'd have liked to see you scared." Suddenly, a snapping sounded behind me.
"Now, that would have been a pretty sight." Eyes shifting upwards, I stood slowly and turned to see the master, leaning against a tree. Which, very obviously, was not there before.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, not scared in the slightest. In fact, deep down, I was happy to see him.
"I'm here to check on my favourite human of course." Tucking his hands into the pockets of his plaid pants, the master strolled over casually. Gazing down at the corpse, he tut.
"She had good aim. Right in the temple." He tapped the side of my head twice, I suppressed my smile with great difficulty.
"You're right, especially since she was malnourished and dehydrated." Humming in agreement, the master turned his attention on me fully. I almost blushed at the close proximity.
"That was a pretty intense argument you were having there. I love to see the doctor so worked up." He cackled, sucking in a slight breath.
"I was just trying to say, he got what he deserved." I explained, not thinking much about it. Quickly, the master bobbed his head.
"Oh you're absolutely right. Dirty, dirty man. Deserves to be in the ground." Wetting my lips, I cocked my head aside, making eye contact with the alien.
"Why would you care about how he was treating his wife?" In response, the master scoffed, stepping closer.
"I dont. I care about the way he was looking at you. How he spoke to you. The way he tried to touch you." My lips parted in shock. Noone had noticed his gaze, or his comments towards me. They especially didn't notice his wondering hand. The doctor had been with yaz, not listening to my complaints.
"How long have you been here?" I asked, too confused to fully voice my thoughts.
"All day. I have to make sure she's looking after you." He pursed his lips, wandering around a little. Feeling touched by his words, I watched him closely.
"Does it matter?"
"Yes."
"Why? I'm just another companion. You hate us."
"Not you. You are fantastic." He boasted, grinning at me. Feeling myself blush  I went closer to him.
"I think, you're too good for her." Cupping my cheeks, I leant into his touch naturally.
''We would make, such a good team. Together. You and me. Imagine it." And, I definitely could. Each time we met, I felt so connected to the renegade timelord. His hatred for the doctor never bothered me. In fact, I understood it.
"But, you wouldn't want that."
"I do." Taken aback by my boldness, the master stepped back.
" I agree, we'd be a good team. I don't want to be with the doctor. It's wearing me down. I can only take so much berating." I laughed to myself bitterly, thinking back over the past few weeks. As much as I hated to admit it, our arguments were becoming more common and the blonde ignored me most days. Sensing my sadness, the master grew angry.
"Stupid woman, making you upset. I can treat you so much better. Let me prove it."
"How?" Smirking, the master took my hands and started walking backwards towards that tree.
"You know she'll come back for you in a few minutes. Let me take you with me, I can show you what it's like to have a real adventure." Following his steps, I bit my lip in excitement. He continued, smiling at me manically.
"I'll have you back in five minutes, she'll never know." The master pushed open his tardis (the tree) doors, before leaning in closer and whispering.
"It can be our little secret." His breath tickled my ear, causing me to shiver and smile lightly. Keeping my hand in his, the master pulled me into his ship, letting the doors close behind me. His tardis was very different from the doctors. Oddly, it was more cosy. In the center, obviously sat the console. Made of a dark metal with dark red accents on each control. There was a few steps up to it with a railing around it all, sectioning it off. Off to the side, there was two Chesterfield armchairs shaded burgundy. Between them sat a table stacked with books. The room was lit dimly with a warm lighting, in fact, the whole room felt warm. There was stairs leading off to different corridors and floors. Plus, it was much cleaner. I walked up the iron steps and next to the master.
"I like your tardis." He grinned proudly, flicking with the controls skillfully. We were in flight, I could tell. But I didn't even notice him taking off. Usually, when with the doctor, you ended up falling over every three seconds.
"Its nice isn't it?"
"Yes very cosy." I replied, looking around again. There was beams across the ceiling which made me think.
"You could string fairy lights across those. Drape them. It would look pretty." As I lowered my line of sight, I found the master looking at me with an unreadable expression. Taking it that he wasn't impressed, I just giggled and walked around the console.
"Right then!" The master jumped next to me, beaming.
"Let me show you how it's done."
-------------☆
With a flourish, the master swung open his tardis doors. On the other side, was a throne room. The floor was a peachy marble, with a grey streak running through. The walls were laced with artworks, definitely alien. In the center, sat a throne. Made of what looked to be gold.
"Welcome to. Galactica three. Boring name, I know. There's actually twenty seven. Anyway- it's the third royal space station in its universe." The master placed a hand on the small of my back and lead me out into said Station. I looked around with interest.
"Currently only the Queen and a few guards are on bored." He told me, walking out onto a long, less luxurious looking, corridor. In fact, now I could tell this was just a space station.
"What are we doing here master?" I asked, following him blindly. I trusted him enough to do this, unlike the doctor.
"I'm going to show you what it's like to be treated right."
Currently, I stood beside the master. The Queen was in ropes, tied to a chair. One last guard was by her side, shaking pathetically.
"Why is he trembling?" With a sigh, the master looking at me.
"I dont know, dear. Silly isn't it?" I nod, looking down as the master placed something in my hand. It was his TCE.
"Kill him. He's annoying me." Without question, I shot at the guard, compressing him. The queen screamed for help and the master quickly clamped his hands over my ears.
"Gosh you're loud. There's no need for any of that." He feigned innocence, letting go and patting my hair straight. Slowly, he stepped over to the Queen and bent down to her level. As he reached out a hand, she let out another ear peircing scream. I winced, making eye contact with the master who then sighed in annoyance.
"Shh." He pressed a finger to his lips but she didn't stop. Sucking on his teeth, the make reached inside his jacket and pulled out a white, gun looking, object. It had a place for all four fingers and what looked to be a trigger where his thumb now sat. The master pressed the barrel to the queen's head, effectively shutting her up.
"There we go. Easy right?" She nod quickly.
"What do you want? Money? I can give you money!" He just laughed at her cries, turning and beckoning me over. I went to his side, allowing him to pull me down.
"This lovely lady right here is responsible for the deaths of everyone on galactica seven." As he spoke, the queen's blue skin paled. Her eyes were like sorcers.
"Quite impressive honestly, seventy-five thousand innocent lives. I should clap. But you're not worth my energy." The gun was still pressed to her head, her form shaking.
Her eyes landed on me, desperation clear.
"Miss please! You'll help me right? You can stop him right?" Her voice trembled in fear, eyes building with tears. Sharing another look with the master, he raised his eyebrows, wondering what I would do. Giving the queen a kind smile, I scooted closer.
"Yes, of course." Holding my hand out, she grasped onto it hopefully.
"Really?" Seeing how she truly believed me, I let out a laugh and pushed her back harshly, causing the chair the fall back.
"No you idiot. Why would I help you?" Seeing the spark drain from her face, I grinned and let the master help me to my feet.
"See, such a good team." He winked, walking over to finish his job.
"Gold? Silver? Bronze? Or how about-" The master opened a glass casing inside the throne room and pulled out a necklace. I smiled, letting him stand before me to show me the peice. On a gold chain, there was a cluster of star pendants hanging from it. Made from an opal like jewel, the master clasped it around my neck.
"Beautiful." My face grew hot, even if he was only talking about the jewellery.
"I told you I was more fun than the doctor. I bet she never got you anything." Giggling, I nod and touched the necklace.
"No never." He smiled, collecting a few more treasures from the glass casing.
"I'll take you back where I found you." My heart dropped a little hearing this. I forgot I'd have to go back to the doctor.
"Hey don't look so sad, love." Gently, the master tilted my chin up and stroked my cheek.
"I'll come back for you. We just have to keep up appearances." Before he could pull away, I grabbed his hand.
"Promise?" Sighing, the master linked our fingers together and simpered.
"I promise."
-------------------------------------☆
It became a regular thing, for me to sneak off with the master during my outing with the doctor. We didn't tend to fly off. Usually I'd help him make the situation far worse and more difficult for the doctor to resolve. It was really fun. But this time, the master wasn't here. I knew he'd be busy this time but it was really dragging. To make it worse, we were stuck in what seemed to be the inside of a volcano. An alien volcano. It was beyond hot, we were all covered in soot. All in all, not fun. I watched the doctor, who was dangerously close to the edge of a giant lava lake, being cornered by the general. Basically, a ship had crashed here and he had been killing off his crew one by one. And it looked as though the doctor was next. I could tell yaz was scared, not wanting the blonde to get hurt. As usual, she was giving some sort of speech. It was obviously doing nothing. Rolling my eyes, I ran forward and shoved the general whilst he was distracted. He fell head first into the lava and I smiled in relief.
"(Y/n)! What the hell did you just do?" The doctor yelled, storming over.
"Saving your life. You're welcome." Angrily, she gripped my wrist and dragged me back into the tardis, yaz scampering behind. After she sent the other girl to clean up, the doctor turned to me.
"What gives you the right to kill someone?" I closed my eyes, not having the energy for an argument. I was tired, hot, dirty and extremely hungry.
"The fact he was a murderer and the fact if I didn't do that, you'd be in the lava. Not him." I tried to get my point through but she shook her head violently.
"I was working on it."
"But it wasn't working! Doctor, you cant just talk your way out of every life and death situation! Sometimes you have to take action!" The doctor took a step forward so she was right in my face, her fists were balled up tightly.
"No! I won't allow you to kill!" Flinching at her harsh tone, I looked to the side.
"I dont have to follow everything you say doctor. You're not always right." My voice was far calmer than I was feeling. In fact, I felt light headed. Scoffing a laugh, the doctor leant against the console and nod to herself.
"You are the worst person who I have ever chosen to travel with. I should have left you in the volcano." Her words stung, my eyes following as she left the console room. This is when I realised how much I missed the master. He would never yell at me. If he was here, he'd give her hell. Swallowing thickly, I made my way down to my room and locked the door. Resting my head on the door, I took a shakey breath, trying to supress my tears. It was a weak attempt. I pushed away and turned around, going to my wardrobe. Wait. Quickly, I realised I now had two wardrobes. Praying that my thoughts were right, I immediately relaxed when one of the doors opened and the master popped out. Originally smiling, his face fell upon seeing me.
"(Y/n)? What's wrong?" My lip trembled, making him act quickly and rush to my side. I instantly fell into his chest, arms gripping the back of his jacket tightly. In turn, he held me against him firmly.
"Hey, its alright." He spoke softly but I shook my head, alerting him more. I cried quietly, basking in his warmth for as long as he'd let me.
"Do you want to come with me?" Nodding quickly, I let him bring me inside his tardis. Sadly, he let go to pilot the ship. Sniffling, I looked around and found myself smiling.
"Fairy lights..." the master looked at me, hearing me speak. And, after a second, he was by my side again. Whilst I'd been gone, he had wrapped fairy lights around the beams.
"You like them?" Nodding, I focused on him again.
"You listened to me? You put them up because-"
"Because you like them." He cut me off, taking me over to the comfy chairs. Letting me sit first, I didn't like the distance but chose not to comment.
"What happened (y/n)?" Looking down, I played with my fingers roughly, not wanting him to see me as weak.
"She got mad, because I killed someone." I told him, cursing my voice for not being stable. Tilting his head, the master sat forward.
"Who did you kill?"
"He was a general, he was going to kill her. So I just pushed him." Struggling to peice everything together, he cast his eyes over me.
"Were you in a fire?" He asked, noticing the soot and Ash finally.
"No, a volcano."
"Right. And when you say pushed?" He urged me to carry on, we made eye contact.
"I pushed him into the lava." The master smiled proudly before shaking himself out of it to focus on the issue at hand.
"So the doctor got high and mighty over the fact you saved her life? Let me guess, she was giving a speech?" She really was that predictable. Bobbing my head yes, he sighed and frowned.
"How angry was she?"
"She said I was the worst companion she's ever had. And that she should have left me in the volcano." I told him nervously, welling up at the thought. After not getting a response, I looked up and was the master was seething. I'd never seen that expression on his face before.
"Master-"
"Are you hurt?" He cut in again, his eyes almost shook. This time, I didn't reply. Blinking back my tears.
"Are you mad at me?" Quickly, he got up and kneeled in front of me. Pulling out a handkerchief from his pocket, the master wiped my face clean.
"No sweets. I'm not mad at you. Not at all." His voice was gentle, moving to sit on the arm of the chair.
"I'm not hurt."
"Good. Because if she ever gets you hurt, I'm not holding back." For a moment, we stared at each other. Until, he cleared his throat.
"Go clean up, I'll wait here ok?" Nodding, I head off to the ships bathroom to shower off all the soot.
The tardis had left me some comfy clothes to change into, thankfully. So, after my shower, I head back to the console room. The master had discarded of his jacket. Leaving him in his waistcoat and shirt, sleeves rolled to his elbows. Seeing me, he came over and took my hand, pulling me along a corridor.
"Where are we going?" We stopped in front of a door before he opened it and stepped in. It seemed to be some sort of living area. A fireplace was roaring at an inviting temperature, with a large sofa in front. Many blankets were piled in a basket off to the side and bookshelves lined the walls. Sitting me on the couch, the master held up a finger before disappearing then coming back with food. For a while, we sat their talking whilst I ate contently. He even cleared up after I was done.
"You're being very nice to me." I giggled, scooting a little closer to him. He grinned, draping his arm around my shoulders.
"Its only what you deserve, love." Blushing, I turned to look at the fire, thinking. Maybe he saw the change in my thoughts because he was quick to question me.
"What's wrong?"
"Just, the things you call me. The way you treat me." I spoke quietly, picking at the fibers in the couch. Concerned, the master turned his body to face mine.
"You don't like it?" Glancing at the male, I smiled seeing his almost pouty face. Never did I think I'd see someone like him, so open and natural. Twisting myself to also face him, I inched forward.
"No, I love it. It makes me very happy." Instantly, he relaxed and went back to his usual simper.
"Good, that's my aim." Resting my head against his arm, I stared up at him curiously.
"Why?"
"Why what?" The master brought his other hand up, gently moving the damp hair off of my face.
"Why do you care so much?" Chuckling at my question, he tilted his head.
"You're smart (y/n). You must know." When I just sat there, looking at him, he shook his head playfully.
"I already said, you're my favourite human."
Smiling, I blushed again and looked down to avoid eyecontact.
"I hope I'm your favourite alien?" Pretending to think about it, I couldn't help but laugh at his astonished face.
"Of course you are." Sitting straight, I really just how close we were and froze slight. The master smirked lightly, placing a hand on my hip. Tension hung in the air, so thick you could probably cut it. Though, it wasn't unpleasant. My heart was beating rapidly and I couldn't stop my eyes wondering to his lips.
"When I said, you're my favourite human." Bringing my attention back, I gazed at him as he spoke. The hand that was once resting on the couch, was suddenly on my back, drawing me in closer.
"That's my way of saying, I really want you to be mine." My eyes widened, not expecting to hear that. I searched his face for any sign if a lie but found nothing.
"You're serious?"
"More serious than anything." The master uttered, cupping my cheek tentivley. I couldn't stop the smile spreading on my face and that seemed to make him happy. Before I could comprehend, I realised he was leaning in. His lips pressed against mine, far softer than I'd ever imagined. Of course, I kissed back, arms coming to wrap around his neck. The master hooked his hands under my arms and pulled me onto his lap. Taking a second to catch my breath, I nuzzled into his shoulder.
"Been waiting to do that since I first saw you." He admitted with a chuckle, knuckles brushing against my leg soothingly.
"Really? Me too. You should have told me sooner." He hummed, kissing the top of my head.
"I dont think the doctor would have appreciated that." Hearing her name, I rolled my eyes and sat up slightly. My hands pressed to his chest, holding myself up.
"I really do not care of what she thinks." The corner of his lips turned up, happy at what I had said.
"I'm glad to hear that, love." I leant forward, reconnecting our lips. The master kisser back, deeper than before. His hands held my waist firmly, stopping me from going anywhere. Not that I would ever want to.
-------------------------------------☆
Draping a blanket over us, the master lay back down behind me, arm hanging over my waist. I shimmied back into his hold, basking in his warmth. Staring at the fire, I thought back to the doctor. How I'd have to go back soon enough. Back to being ignored or ordered around. I really didn't want to do that again. I only felt safe and wanted here, with him. Lightly, the master pressed his lips to my bare shoulder before tucking his head into my neck.
"What's on your mind?" Lacing our fingers together, I hugged his arm close to my chest and sighed.
"I really don't want to go back. I can't do it anymore." The fire crackled, letting off its warmth just enough to be comforting.
"I know I can't, but I just want to stay with you." Being honest with him, I let out a noise of complaint as the master got up.
"I'll be one minute, my love." Whilst he left, I sat up, keeping the covers up and secure around my chest. Just to be decent. Not that it mattered.
"Here." Once reappearing, the master sat by my side, under the blanket. From his hand, I took a white, folded leaflet.
"A carnival?"
"That's what it looks like, right? But, in actuality, its deadly!" Giggling at his exaggeration, I leant back against his chest.
"You give this to the doctor, tell her you want to go there. Then hell breaks loose. You can come help me then I'll set it up to look like you need help, when we'll actually be trapping her. And yaz too. Then you can come with me." Liking his idea, I nod and looked through the leaflet. On the inside, there was a picture of a weird looking clown. Disgusting.
"I'm guessing these clowns aren't actually clowns?" I asked, looking up at the timelord. He smiled, sliding his hands around my waist.
"Actually they are. Killer clowns though. A species that just so happens to look like a human depiction of that very thing." I shivered, not liking the sound of that.
"You know, I really don't like clowns." Putting the leaflet aside, the master lay back and pulled me onto his chest.
"You'll be safe with me, I won't let anything hurt you." Feeling reassured by his words, I smiled.
"You know, I thought you were suggesting that as a first date for a second." Scoffing at the thought, he brought my hand up and kissed it lovingly.
"I think you'll find we had a first date. Killing the queen? Because you're the only queen I need." I shoved him playfully, laughing at his silly flirting. Either way, I couldn't wait.
-------------------------------------☆
"Where did you find this?" The doctor asked, scanning through the leaflet with interest.
"In the library. Can we go? It looks fun." Putting on my best acting, she seemed convinced and punched in the coordinates. It amazed me, after the way she spoke to me, still no apology. She just seemed it under the rug. I wouldn't have to deal with it much longer.
At first, the carnival was actually fun. There were many stalls selling weird looking stuffed animals and sweet treats. Plus, an array of rides and attractions. As we made our way into the main tent, I looked around in search of the master. He hadn't shown up yet, not that I was worried. I had faith in him. Sitting in our seats, the lights went dim and out came the ring master, quite literally. Instantly, the two women beside me tensed up.
"Is that?" Yaz started, moving closer to the doctor. Maybe out of fear, stupid really.
"Yes. What is he doing here?" the doctor glared down at the master, watching as he began to entertain the guests. Everything was going to plan. In a few minutes, all hell would break loose.
"Are we enjoying the show?" He called out, letting the crowd cheer. Walking to the centre of the ring.
"What do we do?" Yaz asked, practically on the edge of her seat.
"We see what he does, make sure to stop him in time." Fighting the urge to roll my eyes, I nod along with the doc. It didn't take long for the sun to go down and each individual clown to suddenly just stop. Sensing something bad would happen, the doctor stood up and cast her eyes around. Slowly, their fangs grew, eyes fading to red and skin cracking in a disturbing manner. Honestly, it was pretty creepy.
"What are they?" I asked, feigning my innocence well.
"I have no idea." We watched as one clown sluggishly walked to an audience member. It stood there for a second, twitching, beforehand grabbing the woman and biting a chunk out of her neck ruthlessly. Even I flinched back at this.
"Everyone, run!" The doctor yelled as everyone began to scream and scrable away. Suppressing my smile, I followed after the doc and yaz as they took off below ground. Probably in search of the master, wherever he was.
"We have got to find him." The doctor was using her sonic to scan the area as we trailed behind. Yaz was quick to hop in and stsrt concocting a plan to stop him. All if a sudden, my wrist was grabbed and I was pulled to the side. I didn't scream, knowing who it was even by the smallest touch. Looking up, I smiled widely seeing the master in his circus outfit. It even had a red suit jacket. Hugging onto him, he chuckled and stumbled back on surprise.
"Miss me?"
"Of course I did." He hugged me back before taking me away from the corridor near the doctor.
"How was I?" Giggling at his need of my opinion, i kissed his cheek.
"Perfect. You really sold the show." The master grinned at me, going into his tsrdis with me.
"Now then, it's all set up. I've made it look as though you were taken." He told me, pointing things out on his monitor. It showed a room which, on the surface looked normal. However we would use it to trap them so I could leave with the master in peace. Hugging him from behind I pressed my cheek to his shoulder.
"But I was taken." Laughing at my statement, the master turned, bring me into his hold firmly.
"Yes but I don't hear any complaining. I can't help that you find me so irresistible." I smiled as he leant down to peck my lips repeatedly.
"Should we put everything in motion love?"
-------------------------------------☆
Soon enough, the doctor realised I had disappeared and alerted yaz. Together they searched every room for something. Eventually, the doc picked up a signal on her sonic and followed it. Just like we planned. Seeing that they were close, I got into position.
"She should be in here!" Quickly, I closed my eyes just as they entered. I was sat against the wall, head limp with my eyes shut. It looked as if I had been thrown there.
"Oh (y/n). What did he do to you?" Whilst the doctor made her way to me, the master snook out if his hiding spot and behind yaz. Placing his fingers on her temple, she was out light a light. He dropped her down, not so gently, making the doctor turn at the sudden noise.
"Hello doctor." The master smiled menacingly, waving his fingers for effect.
"What did you do to her?!" Immediately I was forgotten about, the doctor rushing to yazs' side to check she was okay. Rolling his eyes, the master stepped over her body and stood behind them.
"She's just asleep. Relax." Not finding the situation funny, the doctor stood up and faced him head on.
"What are you doing here?" She asked, anger clear on her face. Standing straight, the male made sure to hold eye contact.
"I'm simply taking what's mine." The doctor shook her head at him.
"What? You're here to get something someone stole from you?"
"No, not stole. Withheld would be the correct word." Before she could respond, he pulled out a small circular device and fired at the doctor. Within less than a second, cuffs were bounding her hands. She stumbled back onto the floor with a sharp grunt.
"Sorry dear, that might bruise." The master laughed, watching her struggle. Deciding to open my eyes slowly, I peered over to the pair of alien's. Shifting slightly, the doctor caught sight of this but pretended not to notice. The master was rambling about how there was noone to come and help her. How she was stuck here alone.
"Oh really? Because I don't agree." She smiled cockily, clearly thinking I was going to help. Raising his brows, the man scratched at his chin.
"Because I think, maybe you didn't hit her hard enough." Now confused, the master paused.
"What?" The doctor turned her head to me but I didn't move, just looked back with a neutral expression. Following her line of sight, the masters eyes landed on me.
"Oh I see." He muttered, slowly walking over and standing in front of me. The doctor watched eagerly, waiting for me to do something. In a threatening way, the master pulled out a pocket knife and carefully bent to my level. Gradually, he brought the weapon closer and closer, aiming at my chest and then- he stopped. With a smirk, he effortlessly cut the ropes binding my hands. I smiled as he helped me up and took hold of my forearm tenderly.
"They weren't too tight, were they?" He asked, checking for any marks. Simpering, I shook my head.
"Not at all." He relaxed and pressed his lips to my wrist lovingly.
"No.." we both turned, hearing the doctors voice. The master groaned, looking bored all of a sudden.
"Oh I forgot about you." Being me flush to his side, I rested my head on his chest easily. The horror on the doctors face was priceless.
"Of course, when I said I came to take what's mine, I meant (y/n)." She began to shake her head in denial.
"You're lying, (y/n) would never go with you!"
"Wouldn't I?" I said, letting go of him and kneeling in front of her.
"Sometimes you have to learn not everything can go your way. I'm not getting you out of this. You'll just have to wait for yaz to wake up, won't you?" It slowly sunk in that I wasn't joking, that I really was leaving with him. The doctor sat there, raging behind her eyes.
"You just let him hurt us? You don't care?"
"Not anymore. Not after the way I was treated. Especially yaz, constantly ignoring me. She deserves to-" before I could finish, the doctor used all her force to pounce forward. I yelped, head hitting the floor harshly as I landed. Without a second thought, the master gripped her hair and yanked her back.
"You better hope for the sake of that stupid girls life you haven't hurt her!" She grit her teeth as he tossed her aside, returning to me. Carefully, he lifted me up into his arms before giving the doctor one final look.
"Enjoy your week alone."
☆☆☆☆☆
The master placed me down onto the bed delicately, making sure I was comfortable.
"Does it hurt?" I just nod slowly, reaching a hand up but I was stopped.
"No touching." He sat beside me, parting my hair to see the damage and sighed.
"Just a bruise. You'll be okay. But next time I see her I swear I'll make her suffer." Smiling, I turned and laid my head on his chest, body instantly melting into his hold. In turn, the master found himself relaxing too.
"I dont doubt that, as long as I can help."
"Oh darling, you know I wouldn't dream of being without you." A kiss was pressed to my cheek, making me happier and smile more.
"Yaz will be out for a couple days, so she can sit and reflect whilst listening to the screams above." Wiggling his fingers, the master mover his hand through the air to simulate what he was saying and I giggled.
"Perfect. It will kill her to know she couldn't save them." The master gazed down, stroking my cheek lovingly.
"I'm so happy to have you, so perfect for me." I leant into his touch and let out a breath. My eyes closed, feeling safe in his grasp and my body needed to reset for a while.
"Sleep now, my love, I have big plans for us."
