i've been replaying the game recently (got the 80's throwback dlc hehe) and i know no one will agree with me but i feel like jacob and abi would make a cute couple too. the whole hot himbo jock x shy goth girl trope sounds very appealing to me...

I don't understand roleplayers who don't know how to contribute or bounce ideas. Why are you always acting like you're the human embodiment of no thoughts, head empty? If you don't know how to be creative, then you shouldn't have a hobby that requires creative writing. This is why you're still looking for people to roleplay with long-term. It's no mystery why none of them last with you.

I already knew that before but it really bothered me how unfair people were being calling him selfish or God forbid "abusive" in comparison to for instance The Quarrys best boi Dylan. Especially cause nobody except Dylan, Laura and Emma were aware they would transform (Emma to an extent I believe as she didn't witness a transformation but she did warn abi in a haze cause something didn't feel right to her), so I am 100% certain if nick were in a different condition, he would've warned them of the incoming danger. He was always caring for abi, especially when she returned, he, despite his injuries only inquired for her safety.

Honestly, I hope these two keep in touch after summer camp ends

I think Jacob is my favorite character from The Quarry.

He first comes off as a self-centred jock who doesn’t respect a no from Emma, but it eventually becomes clear that his jock persona is performative and the reason why he keeps pursuing Emma is because she keeps flirting with him after they broke up despite knowing how infatuated he is with her and he’s too dumb to navigate the mixed signals.

When she finds him crying he doesn’t try to hide it, and if he gets infected he starts crying again, calling himself a “Stupid stupid boy! Summer is over! Summer is over and you’re nothing! She doesn’t want you! Nobody does! Nobody wants you!” and suddenly the beginning of the game where everybody are mocking him and brushing him off gets very upsetting.

Basically he’s a big dumb himbo who isn’t doing himself any favors in his desperate need for validation and human connections. I can’t get too upset at him for getting them all into this mess by breaking the car. He thought they’d just have to stay at the camp for one extra night, not get monster-mauled.

Maybe some day I won’t like the least popular character. Maybe.
