Wednesday had been sitting down all of three minutes when Enid came over pulling her up to dance. “Enid..” She followed “Don’t you remember what happened last time..?” She paused but really could not say no to her blonde friend. She just acted as if no one was watching again.

It was after everything. the hug had lingered longer than anyone expected - especially longer than Wednesday thought she’d hold onto the blonde. A whisper into her ear of ‘why’d you do that’ got back a whisper of ‘cause i care’ and that could have made Wednesday’s black heart grow three sizes that day.

okay so she’s not the grinch her heart didn’t grow, but after both girls where able to get checked out and cleaned up Wednesday was sitting on her side of the room, changing Thing’s bandages.

“I still can’t believe you wolfed out” The raven haired girl said quietly looking over at the other side of the shared dorm room.

i’m not sure i’m able to believe that, tyler, he hears the words ring in his mind. it sends a jab of pain through his chest, one he wasn’t sure he would ever feel. the rejection hurts when it comes from her — when it came from ANYONE ELSE, he was fine with it. but wednesday ? the hyde stirs inside of him, wants him to snap, to turn cold. ( her opinion doesn’t matter to us, it SHOULDN’T. she’s the one who locked us UP ! ) but tyler merely shakes his head and swallows back a lump in his throat. no, he tells the hyde. not right now.

but then she teases him, or at least it sounds like a tease. he looks back up, through his eyelashes, almost astonished that she could play around. then again, it is wednesday he’s talking to. queen of morbidity. the smallest, weakest of smiles flicker on the corners of his lips. “ that’s okay. i…i understand. we can do things as slow as you want….maybe pen pals? i can tell you all about the torture they’ll probably put me through, ” it’s supposed to be light hearted, but at the same time, he’s terrified of what’s going to happen to him while he’s gone.

Wednesday saw the smile come onto the teen’s it almost almost made her rbf turn upward to smile. Leaning back on the table she looked up at tyler. “Slow, slow is good. preferred.” She said wit ha bit of a shrug, before there was a laugh -a genuine laugh coming from the girl. “Oh you know I will love to know about all that torture, it will be the highlight of the letters”  She moved closer to him, unsure if she should be doing this - but it couldn’t hurt, most it could do was send her into having another vision. She placed her hand softly onto his cheek. “You’re going to be okay, Tyler..”
