Also, 6 deep grave foot is almost a myth because most people are buried about four foot down, some places like I think Texas even have a minimum depth of 12 inches so its totally possible to get yourself a relatively shallow grave that any reasonably healthy person could dig their way out of much less a mindless zombie that doesn't need to breathe and won't feel any pain. The reason for 6 foot being the thing with graves is when or if they had to use the gravesite again there is space to put another coffin or two on top of the first coffin.

They haven't got the barrier of pain holding them back like the living. We only use 3% of our muscle fibers on an average basis, unless there's an emergency or through training. That's why in an emergency people are often super strong or fast, as a kind of last-ditch effort to survive or save someone else. But this puts often catastrophic stress on the body, causing muscle tearing and ligament damage. But if zombies don't feel pain or have these setbacks, they potentially have 300× more strength and bite force than a normal human.

Zombies don’t usually come from the ground. George Romero is gospel and they came back when they weren’t yet buried. There’s no instance of any zombies coming out of the ground in any Romero movie. In the return of the living dead series they do, but those zombies also run and talk and can’t be killed, and the movie is more comedy than horror. Breaking through a coffin and climbing through 6 feet of dirt is pretty labor-intensive work. Combine that with undead hunger and body decomposition without the benefit of regeneration, you going to have a slow-moving, yet determined to feed at all cost, monster.

They could probably punch through solid steel given enough time, they wouldn't feel the pain caused by their own injuries so they would just keep smashing with their bloody stumps until they bust through. Basically unstoppable like most natural disasters. They could also squeeze through tiny holes that would normally kill someone and also survive in the open ocean. They're pretty disgusting tbh but Hollywood doesn't seem to do anything fun with them. If zombies were real, they probably couldn't regenerate muscle tissue after extreme exertion. When I read the Zombie Survival Guide, they used some science mumbo-jumbo to explain why that happens. Basically, the virus has hijacked your muscle and nerve function but is unable to replicate a lot of metabolic processes due to temperature changes, organ death, etc. That's actually probably pretty close to what would happen though muscles work a lot differently than a lot of people perceive...... There are numerous types of Zombies. I actually like it when we have no idea how the virus started. Grave crawling zombies just add to the story.

It all depends on which flavor of zombie you get. Personally, I'd be down for TWD zombies, even though they are a gooey gross mess. Get a broom handle, sharpen one end and poke from a distance. Kind of like the crazy things men will say and do to a minor on the show with Chris Hanson They're not portrayed as weak. Most just portrayed slow. But since they don't feel pain, they can go through anything. Their state of decomposition is what limits their capabilities. With numbers, they're a force. Solid concrete, alone, no. But thousands of them pushing, possibly yeah. 10 feet of wall, 50 could pile up and climb over.

What if in place of physical strength they instead have unrelenting persistence since they no longer need to breathe they have no worry of suffocation they can take as long as necessary to escape from their coffins. If a living person didn’t have to worry about breathing would they not also be able to dig their way out of a coffin given an unlimited time limit? Your forgetting the grave liner/box made of concrete that the cemetery may require to be there. That just ups the strength factor. This inspired me with another shower thought: Zombies look perfectly normal until they have to break out of a coffin and crawl thru 6 feet of dirt.

What you reflect is why people want police reform and why rural people often fail to recognize the problems experienced by urban police forces. In your instance, the person policing you is part of your community with personal accountability for his actions. Kind of hard to have no accountability when everybody knows you and went to high school with you. In my city, the people policing us live 20 miles away in the suburbs and don't even wear name tags anymore. Would be quite different if they were in charge of the square mile they live in.

One of my friends is a Sheriff in our rather sleepy South Florida town. He was the best man at our family's best friend's wedding. My kids and all our kids all play together. Very nice dude. 3rd policing is to keep the peace and enforce laws. You can debate me on that, however, there are definitely times when police are needed to protect the people from a threat. 4th I don't really believe the police are as efficient as they could be. I believe they do need more training. Perhaps more in de-escalating certain situations and knowing when to realize someone is not a threat. And I would definitely be open to listening to statistics. I'm always open-minded and willing to listen to multiple sides. And finally, i agree with you, it's really sad that this has literally torn our country apart. We should have come together and said "Look not all police are bad, but there are some definite changes that have to be made"

There are problem areas, but on the whole, we have a fairly just police force. When you look at things like violence and corruption, they tend to be small percentages of the overall force. We also do a good job in policing our police, because the 2016 protests forced a lot of the more problematic precincts to adopt new policies that instantly cut down on violence by 25%. I would be willing to discuss data and it's implications more, as long as both sides can accept that the means of gathering the data are just as important as the blurb that makes a hypothesis.
