Okay non-European tumblr, I’m gonna explain to you why ‘white’ isn’t as simple here as it is in the rest of the world
- Shades of white in Europe range from ‘freshly fallen snow’ to ‘I am frequently mistaken as being from the Middle East’
- White European is a thing. When you fill out a form, under ethnicity, there are several options for white; white British, white European, white other. Because people make that distinction
- There are Europeans who don’t class their ethnicity as their skin colour, but as their nationality. I have family who don’t think of themselves as white, they just think of themselves as Italian and don’t really give much thought to their skin colour
- People here in Britain always question if darker skinned white Europeans are ‘actually white’. I get it a lot myself. My response is always ‘well I’m not anything else, so obviously I must be’
- Despite being white, a lot of Europeans from Italy, Greece, Spain etc, don’t feel white in the traditional sense. We’re not white like white British people. We’re not white like white Americans. We’re our own white. White British is one thing. White Italian is another thing. White Greek is another, etc
- Which is why we have this notion here in Europe of ‘nationality over race’. Being white isn’t as important as where you’re from
- So this really only becomes an issue if you’re an immigrant
- So being white in Europe doesn’t save you from racial discrimination, because sure, you’re technically white, but you’re not white white. Not the right white
- Here in England, Europeans with really blatantly foreign names, such as myself, find it more difficult to get job interviews, because they take one look at our name and don’t bother reading the rest of the CV. A guy I know was actually told by his boss to reduce the pile of CVs he had by ‘chucking away any with a name you can’t fucking pronounce’
- And then even when you do get an interview, half the time you walk into the joint several shades darker than everyone else and feel like you’ve walked into the ‘Swedish supermodel’ clubhouse and you just know you’re not getting hired
This is all basic stuff and it’s very much taken for granted here. Race and ethnicity are not as clear cut, so it can be very confusing for non-Europeans to wrap their heads around. Which is fine. But I implore you to stay in your lane, because when you say things like ‘no white person anywhere in the world ever knows what it’s like to face racial discrimination’, it’s really fucking offensive to all of the European immigrants who are denied jobs, harassed by the police and beaten by racists, because foreign is foreign to these people, and they don’t give a shit if you’re technically white. So when you mean white American, say white American.

LISTEN UP TUMBLR, THINGS NEED TO BE SET STRAIGHT.
In light of my post trying to spread some harmless positivity towards white, straight, and male groups, and the hate I’m getting over it, I feel this needs to be said.
EVERYONE HAS PROBLEMS. YOUR RACE, YOUR GENDER, AND YOUR SEXUALITY DOES NOT MAKE YOUR PROBLEMS ANY LESS THAN SOMEONE ELSE WHO HAS DIFFERENT RACE, GENDER AND SEXUALITY.
WHITES HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO BE PROUD OF THEMSELVES AND THEIR CULTURE AS MUCH AS NON-WHITES
STRAIGHTS HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO HAVE PRIDE AS NON-STRAIGHTS.
MEN HAVE JUST AS MANY RIGHTS AS WOMEN.
If you’ve caught yourself saying any of the following, please reconsider your life choices:
“All white/straight/male people should die.”
“Women deserve equal rights!” “Oh but she shouldn’t be punished so harshly for x crime because she’s not a man.”
“Men can’t be raped/women can’t be racist.”
“Black people/non-white people can’t be racist.” “You can’t be racist to white people.”
“You can’t be sexist to men.”
“Straight people don’t matter.”
“Your opinion doesn’t matter because you’re white/straight/a male”
If you have said any of these things, I hate to break it to you buddy, but you’re either Racist, Sexist/Misogynist, or Heterophobic (for lack of a better word).
Lets stop this toxic mind set. Equality is not thinking this way about anyone.
“I hate black people” VS “I hate white people.”
“I hate gay people” VS “I hate straight people.”
“I hate men” VS “I hate women.”
THEY ARE THE SAME FUCKING THING. ONE THING IS NOT OKAY TO SAY AND THE OTHER NOT OKAY TO SAY. THEY ARE BOTH NOT OKAY TO SAY. YOU SHOULDN’T SAY THIS AT ALL. PERIOD.
Don’t shit on people for spreading black/non-white positivity
Don’t shit on people for spreading gay/non-straight positivity
Don’t shit on people for spreading female positivity
BUT ALSO DON’T
Don’t shit on people for spreading white positivity
Don’t shit on people for spreading straight positivity
Don’t shit on people for spreading male positivity
There is no excuse for this toxic behavior. If you can’t grasp that NONE of this is okay, then you have a serious problem.
You are the problem.
It’s not that fucking hard to learn how to be nice to each other. You wanna be equal? Start by stopping hate based on these things.
And one last note, I don’t care who they are, or what they’ve said. Under no circumstances is it ever okay to tell someone to kill themselves for voicing an opinion. IT IS NEVER OKAY TO TELL ANOTHER LIVING BREATHING HUMAN BEING TO GO KILL THEMSELVES OR TO MAKE DEATH THREATS TO THEM JUST BECAUSE YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THEM.
Wake the fuck up.

OOOOOHHH AND LET ME NOT FORGET that when I talked to my friend about this shit she said that she also had awful experience with this dumbass company. So apparently she ordered a protective screen ( a piece of plastic with glue on one side that costs forty fucking dollars) it came broken in the mail. She tried to return it and then fucking ZAGG over here is like “No thats impossible we always check all of our packaged this is not true” and so they blamed my friend for the broken screen and she never got her money back

At first I didn’t know if there was any special way to pack it cause I didnt wanna get fucked over that (even though I did get fucked over by these frog dick suckers later), so I went to their website in search of a solution. I contacted customer support and they said that they had someone working on the question. AND THEY NEVER EVEN REPLIED AND THEY SSEND AN EMAIL TO MY DEPERATE ASS AND IT SAYS THAT THEY DID< IT HAD A LINK BELOW AND I WENT TO CLICK AND NOTHINGS ON IT!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! However this is not where I start losing my shit. I didn’t look too much into this I was just a bit confused. ANYWAYS, so I got an email that I needed to send them the broken screen back. THIS EMAIL I RECEIVED AFTER I SENT THEM THE THING. so me being a pure and forgiving child i was like hey maybe it just didn’t arrive yet or something??? SO I WAIT AND I GET ANOTHER EMAIL JUST LIKE THAT ONE AND I TRY TO REPLY BUTTTT NOOOO OTHEIR PUSSILIENT ASS HAS A NO REPLY EMAIL AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS ASS SO THERES NO WAY TO CONTACT THEM… … …so fast forward a few weeks i get an EMAIL THAT SAYS THAT THEY CHARGED ME BECAUSE I DIDNT SEND IT BACK WHEN I DI D and so now i have pay like 40 bucks for a piece of shitty plastic so yeah hows your day been?
