Do you have links to any English subtitled Karoline movies? I swear I went to every film store in town looking for her stuff but I can only find a few.

You do have to dig a bit, but they are out there. A lot are available online, but not carried in stores since few carry a good selection of foreign films.

Her movies that are in English (most of these were not German productions):

The Reader (although her part isn’t very big in this one, it’s available on DVD and Prime Instant Video at amazon.com)

Perfume: The Story of a Murderer (also a small, but pivotal, role, and also on DVD and Prime Instant Video at amazon.com)

Errors of the Human Body (available for instant download purchase on amazon.com and on Netflix instant)

Passion (available on amazon.com to purchase and on Netflix instant)

Her foreign movies that have been released in the US/other English speaking countries with subtitles or dubbing:

We are the Night/Wir sind die Nacht (available on amazon.com and Netflix instant). This one has both dubs and subs, but I prefer the subs.

Big Girls Don’t Cry/Große Mädchen weinen nicht (available on DVD at amazon.com)

Vincent Wants to Sea/Vincent will Meer (available on DVD at amazon.com and on Netflix instant)

Berlin ‘36 (available on DVD at amazon.com

Her foreign movies that are only available to purchase on the German amazon site - amazon.de (note that you’ll either need to get a region-free DVD player if you’re in America, or you’ll have to watch them on your computer):

Das Blaue vom Himmel, has English subtitles on the DVD

Im Winter ein Jahr, does not have English subtitles on the DVD, but there are some available online if you search for them

Pornorama, does not have English subtitles on the DVD, but again there are some listed online, although I’m not sure how good they are.

Mädchen Mädchen, does not have English subs on the DVD, and I haven’t had any luck finding English ones online, so I’ve been slowly going through the German ones I could find and translating.

Mädchen Mädchen 2, however, does have English subs if you search for them online.

Zettl, no English subs on the DVD. I found some online, but again, not sure how accurate they are.

Fack ju Göhte, no English subs on the DVD, but they are available online. And I’ve seen some news that suggests it is going to be released in the US, but I haven’t seen anything yet. I hope it does, though, since it’s really funny and I haven’t had the money to buy the German version yet.

Eine andere Liga. Doesn’t even have German subtitles, let alone English ones! But I made my own, so if you’re able to get a copy of the movie and want them, I’m happy to share.

Peer Gynt, no English subs on the DVD, not sure if any are online.

Küss mich, Frosch. She only has a small part in this one, but she’s really young and super-adorable. And despite being a small made-for-TV film, the DVD does have English subtitles.

Die Gänsemagd, on DVD but no English subs, not sure about online.

Das Wunder von Berlin, on DVD but same as above.

If you’re able to download stuff via torrents, you can also find some of these, but honestly they’re mostly the ones you can find on Netflix Instant or Amazon Prime, so I wouldn’t say it’s worth it to do that.

And this was probably way more detail than you were looking for, but hopefully it’s helpful! Oh, and if you are able to view the European region DVDs, but don’t want to buy them from amazon.de, you might also have luck finding them on ebay or from a third-party seller on amazon.com. I’ve done that with a few!
