the scariest thing about old tv isnt really the racism or the sexisim because you kinda go in braced for that it's all the scenes where suddenly an actress is holding a lion cub or a chimpanzee is in the same room as a toddler, or suddenly theres a lion, or there's a chimpanzee again but it's driving a car, or holding a lighter, or holding fireworks. You just kind of watch in horror as over and over an actress performs with only 1960s tv film shootings best animal handling between her and the opening to Nope.

Like yes....the cast and crew of like 30 people all need money to live. Nothing wrong with that. They have it department, camera crew, sound crew, crafters and marketing people. If they pay them pnly 50k a year thats a few million a year just to keep the lights on. And thats not including supplies or electricity or taxes on the property
They give milliona ti charity and spent millions to make their shows. Its not like they are swimming in money, it takes a million to just make 1 episode.
And yes we do have literally 1600 hours of content for free.
You can literally watch everything thry make for free. Hell even their cartoon with a free trial.
as much as a i very much agree that matt's the DM and therefore, based on RAW, his call is the final one and can override any rule for any reason, it really irks me when people go on about how its their game and that we should be thankful for them sharing it with us, as if CR isnt a very successful IP thats acrued them an actual insane amount of monetary gain. we can have both that matt's the DM and if you truly dont like it, you shouldnt watch, and that critical role is hardly a grassroots project that doesnt owe anything to its audience.
